“They must be the Bravo Team. Answer the call, Sergeant!”

“Affirmative!”

The hologram screen where they are staring at starts to render the communication panel. After a couple of seconds, communication panel starts to preview what is the situation on Bravo Team.

“Sir! We’ve detected a radioactive pit in our position. There is a possibility that this pit contains a lot of Quartzite Crystals.”

“Excellent Captain. Proceed to survey stage but remember, don’t exceed to your power limit. We only have 2 tons of Veritium Ores on board to sustain our gathering mission. Please minimize the casualty. Do you copy Captain?”

“Roger, we copy sir! Executing survey stage at once!”

Communication panel has been terminated.

“It was a relief Sir! We are still able to find such Quartzite Crystals despite of its potential of being extinct!”

“You are right Sergeant. The Confederation and the Empire will be excited about this.”

“Say it Sir, we are here in the sector of Lendron which is supposed to be a mineral rich sector, but we could not find a dense cluster of crystals.”

“Maybe the possible reason is that the Revenants exhaust the minerals here. It is feasible since this is only 15 light years away from their border sector. Actually, I saw earlier a derelict Sojourner orbiting Lendron – 8. Maybe they are still gathering some carbonized rubber thrashes there HAHAHA.”

“Wait what you just said Sir?! It is a hostile entity! What if we’ve been detected? What it is a Surveillance Sojourn? We are doomed Sir! You must announce it earlier!”

“Relax Sergeant, I saw them before we start the expedition and yes, I’ve rechecked their position a couple of minutes earlier, they’ve gone now. So don’t be so harsh. We are all safe now.”

“NO!! You must announce it so that we all know, and we can setup a safety procedure at least. That is the true safe!”

“HAHAHA chill down Sergeant. They are gone now, there is no reason to be angry now.”

A notification panel has popped out on the screen…

“Alpha Team wants to send a message.”

“Answer the call, Sergeant.”

“Right away Sir!”

The communication panel previewed the situation of Alpha Team

“Ey Torres! Look what we’ve found! A treasure of Gold! A cave full of Gold! We are rich now Torres.”

General Torres makes a disappointment reaction, laughing at Jerome’s attitude.

“Hey Jerome, please stick to the plan. We don’t need gold now.”

“But Torres, gold is the most valuable resource that human could possess other that diamonds.”

“We need fuel Jerome, not some piece of junk like “GOLD” of yours.”

“Hey, don’t be so rude man, just let me feel like the richest man on Earth!”

“You’re not on Earth dude…”

“Just stop talking, we are just starting to become the happiest men on the universe right men?... Yes, boss you are so great!”

General Torres makes a disappointment reaction again. He takes a good observation of Alpha Teams location until he found some unusual stuff, hiding beneath the pile of golds.

“Hey, hey hey Jerome!”

“No, no no, just shut up. Look at me mate! I am rich NYAHAHAHA!”

“Hey this is serious bro! Come on listen”

“Ohhh how important is that hmmm?”

“What is the sparkling bright yellow near that gold bell?”

“Hmmm let me, see. Hang on!”

“That is not a gold right Sir?”

“I don’t know Sergeant. If my hunch is true, that is a Starkling Ore. A Grade 6 crystal. It is too dangerous for the Alpha Team to stay there.”

“Oy oy oy, this is a bad thing Torres, requesting immediate response here! It is a Henderal Fragment! Grade 10 Crystal! Requesting immediate help!”

“Tsk! Jerome retreat from the vicinity. Establish at least 50 meters from Henderal Fragment.”

“Copy that Sir! Alpha team moving out!”

Communication panel was terminated.

“Walkers Team, ready to de disposed. I shall accompany you. Sergeant! You are now in charge to the bridge.”

“Roger!”

“Alright Walkers, let’s go.”

Sergeant Henry call others team for immediate announcement.

“Sergeant Henry on the line. Alpha Team detects a Henderal Fragment. Beware to your expedition. If you find another Henderal fragment, call us immediately.”

All of the expedition team respond…” Roger, we copy.”

“This is Delta Team; we are regrouping to Alpha Team.”

“Roger that, General Torres was on the move along with the walkers. Please accompany him.”

“Affirmative! Delta team moving out.”

“Establishing communication to Bridge. This is General Torres, preparing for Walker's disposal in 2 minutes. Do you copy?”

“Yes, sir! We copy. Delta Team will accompany you towards Alpha Team.”

“Sweet! Copy that.”

“Good luck at as you descend General.”

“Thanks Sergeant. Stay monitored to other teams.”

Kepler was the name of the Sojourner that they used. It is an Orca-barge type made by the Metallurgist Association of United Imperium with collaboration of Georgian Confederation. Kepler was led by General Torres Edward, the 3rd Sojourn Admiral of Exploration Department under the Metallurgist Association, Sergeant John Henry Orpim, 5th Communication Director under the same department and guild. Kepler is carrying a 5 expedition teams consist of 20 individuals per team. They are tasked to gather rare crystals on the sector of Lendron (20 light years from headquarters) that will serve as fuel for the next mission of the Empire. Quartzite is a metamorphic rock made from quartz sandstone but due to existence and exposure to power crystals, it was mutated into a garnet like jewel that emits warm level 3 radiation that are mainly used as engine fuel (solid fuel). Veritium ore is another radioactive crystal with level 8 radiation. It is the highest level of radiation level that humans can handle so far. It is still used as engine fuel but in a reactor form. It is only used in Sojourners, Barge or Cruiser Voidliners because it can emit a dense amount of radiation for long period of time with only a little amount of surface decay. Henderal Fragment is said to be a level 10 crystal. That fragment was nuclear bomb when moved. It was an unstable crystal, but it could potentially power a continent for over 8 years with just a palm size of it. It is still beyond the present technological capabilities and that is why they look so troublesome seeking for general safety. Walkers are gigantic exoskeletons that are being worn by special team of explorers in order to traverse the planet’s unknown geography. It perfectly mimics human limbs, and the pilot is seating on a cockpit at the center. The shoulder is connected at the sides of cockpit, a little higher than the middle height of the cockpit. The leg of the Walker is directly beneath the cockpit. There are designs that uses 3 or 4 legs, but 2 legs are the most versatile. Kepler is holding 2 shuttles in order to descend the explorers to the planet’s surface. Mostly, it is TVB-38 Mite-type like a which engineered by Flying Steels Corporation under the United Imperium or a FTB-20 Termite which is engineered by Legion Company also under United Imperium. General Torres were using the FTB-20 carrying 10 Walkers.

“FTB-20 is descending on Lendron-3’s atmosphere.”

The shuttle penetrated the storm clouds receiving strong shockwaves that shake the shuttle. Violet lightning are rampaging on the storm clouds. Heavily maneuvering the shuttle in order to avoid dense storm clouds that could electrify and burn the shuttles armor. After series of maneuvering, they managed to escape the storm clouds.

“Alright prepare for sky jump in 5 minutes. Sergeant, request for automated control just focus diving at land point.”

“Affirmative!” a

“Guys listen up! Our goal is to reach Alpha Team’s location quickly as possible. 8Th Walker secure a 50m safety perimeter on the landing point upon landing the surface. 9th Walker stay here in the shuttle. Make sure the landing procedures were executed properly. 10th walker roam the landing area. Check for hostile entities. 4th to 7th  walker find the Delta team. They are supposed to regroup with us. 1st to 3rd follow me, we are going to jump directly at Alpha team’s location. Understood?”

“Yes sir!”

“Good! Then let’s jump out!”

All of the Walkers executed the order. They jumped at the shuttle at the height of 30 km above the surface. General Torres is wearing his Exploration suit equipped with Turbojet pack and Turbo jet bracers. He also wearing a digital helmet equipped with Laser Scanner, Eye glass display inside and a micro communication radar.

“Descending at the speed 225km/s, Approaching Alpha team’s coordinates in 10 seconds. Hang on Jerome we are coming,”

“Copy that Torres, it seems that the Henderal Fragment is still stable.”      

“Is its location stable?”

“Of course, it is inside the cave in front of us”

“Is there any hidden pit nearby the Fragment?”

“I don’t know, we’ve not finished the scene surface. We’ve evacuate immediately once we found the fragment.”

“Ok just hang on. We got this. Walkers, descend near the cave carefully. Don’t smash the ground or could trigger possible fragments inside.”

General Torres descend smoothly with his turbo jetpack. The Walkers activate their rocket boosters behind the cockpit to descend smoothly.

“I’ll go check cave’s entrance.”

“Hey dude, be careful.”

General Torres entered the cave and saw different types of Level 1 and Level 2 crystal.

“Walkers, go retrieve these crystals on the caves entrance. These could still valuable for us.”

Walkers picked the ores of the crystals and dropped on the Alpha team’s rendezvous point.

“Jerome, where did you find the Fragment?”

“30m beneath the surface level. And yeah, could you please get some gold for us?”

“Come on Jerome, we don’t have time for this.”

“Maybe a 20kg of gold?”

“No…”

“10kg?”

“Still no…”

“Oh, come on man, this is my first time to touch gold man.”

“You’re exaggerating things man. Remember that you have gold rings on your barracks?”

“That was no longer a gold man. I want shiny and brand new gold! So come on man, only this time that I will ask a favor to you.”

“Hayzt…Alright…”

“Really?! YES SIR! That was great. Bring 40kg of gold please!”

“Just shut up. We are concentrating. I will end the call.”

“Hey wewewewait!!!!!”

General Torres ended the communication.

“Say General, that Jerome was so childish, no? He has no sense of fright.”

“He is right General, is there any reason why is he still childish despite of being old? Oh hey look, a Fender Ore. Can we take this General?”

“Sure, add it up to you inventory. Jerome is such an intelligent Admiral. He is way more outstanding than me.”

“Wow, Admiral? I’ve never heard of that position.”

“You sure didn’t know that position. It is an extinct position due to military reform of the Empire. We finished first this mission before I continue the story because it has a lot elements that you’ve didn’t know.”

“General, Quartzite ores spotted!”

“Where?”

“4 o clock”

“A dense amount of Quartzite ores. 3rd Walker, hold this position. Make a new way towards the cave exit. We need to extract those Quartzites.”

“Yes sir!”

“Come one, we need to descend more.”

“General, I’ve detecting strong radiation in this part of cave, and it gets stronger and stronger.”

“It must be the Henderal Fragments. Find traces of gold first. It will lead us to the location of the fragment.”

“We should walk more. Soon, gold will appear on the ground.”

The team walk more and found some valuable ores on the walls. They also discovered deep pits along their way.

“General, I’ve detecting strong presence of gold somewhere.”

“Copy that. Check your ground if stable. We don’t want to agitate the crystal.”

The team sharpen their senses. They must be careful on their steps.

“Gold nuggets. On the ground. Keeping moving forward”

After a couple of stepping, they felt a crumbling rocks underneath.

“Full stop, go throw some rocks forward to determine where we should walk.”

They walk carefully and search for the Henderal Fragment among the piles of gold.

“Do you find it?”

“Negative Sir!”

“Negative, moving to next piles.”

“Search it carefully.”

“Wait a minute, Walkers! Positive. Regroup!”

“I’m coming sir.”

“Copy that. Moving out”

General Torres analyze how will he grab the Henderal Fragment, but he is hesitating because it has too strong radiation. Wrong contact can trigger a nuclear explosion.

“We are hear sir. We are going to secure the Henderal”

“Walkers, wait. I want to make an assumption here. Henderal must disintegrate my Turbo jet braces once I nearly grab Henderal but why my jet braces are still functioning?”

“Maybe this Henderal was sealed.”

“What was its Radiation power?”

“857 points Sir!”

“That was too weak for a Henderal! It must be atleast 10,000 points because it is a level 10 crystal. But why? Try to remove some gold around the Henderal”

“Yes sir!”

While removing some gold, he felt something strong.

“My hunch is true. The radiation power is spiking again…”

“Sir! The radiation suddenly spikes to 4,582 points. Meaning its radiation can be blocked by gold!”

“This is a great discovery guys. Leave that Henderal for now. Search the scene for more possible Henderal Fragments. I will contact the bridge.”

A low frequency was received by the Communication Panel of the Kepler.

“General, what is the update?”

 “Good news, we discovered something new. Henderal Fragments can be sealed by gold. Go call our research department and report about this.”

“That was outstanding Sir!”

“Sir! We hit the jackpot! We found 10 Henderal Fragments!”

“Excellent! I am going to call other Walkers to help you retrieving the Henderals.”

“Roger that.”

“Hey Jerome, I have a sad news for you…”

“What was it? You are unable to get my gold?”

“Well, we need to mine all the gold inside the cave.”

“YOHOOO!!!! But why is it a sad news? We are going to be rich!”

“Hayzt, because all gold will be used to seal the Henderal. All the gold to therefore, there will be no gold for you HAHAHAHA.

“At least we had the gold!! YAWHOOO!! I’m so excited to pick and wear those damn gold”

“Then ready for your death. These golds are contaminated by Henderal’s radiation. Check your neck right now. I’m sure that you have irritated yellow skin there.”

“Yeah, it is irritating me a little, but it is nothing. GOLD FOR LIFE!!!”

“Tsk, you are so gold fanatic after all. If you are desperate for gold, then help these walkers gather gold and rally them outside.”

“Aye aye sir!”

A loud bang, traverse the wide skies and a strong wind shockwave follows through.

“Jerome, what was that?”

“Uhmm Torres, you need to go outside right now…”

“Say, what was it!”

A communication request popped out on Gen. Torres’ radar.

“Henry, was what shockwave?”

“Sir! Delta Team encountered a Henderal Fragment along the way. Request for assistance.”

“I’m coming.”
