So, it did work...
Hiroshi was genuinely surprised as he pulled his middle finger out of the [Roger the Ravager]'s throat.
In the game, players had once speculated that the best weapon in this world might actually be Visah'Su's body parts. After all, Visah'Su's body was indestructible, even to the gods, and the best they could do was chop it into pieces. In theory, Visah'Su body parts were the hardest things in existence, so why couldn't they be used as weapons? Plus, they'd be immune to all divine attacks, which would mean no more weapon grinding—just poke away with a finger and be done with it.
Perhaps the game developers hadn’t thought of this, or maybe they didn’t want their meticulously designed weapon system to be rendered obsolete. In any case, the game didn’t allow players to use Visah'Su' body parts as weapons. But it had left room for speculation: "Damn, my +10 spear can't even pierce the skin—maybe a fingernail from a certain someone would be better."
But now, Hiroshi had turned the players’ old discussions into reality.
At least for now, the hardness of the finger had proven its worth—otherwise, how could Roger have impaled himself so easily?
The hardness was certainly worthy of being something the gods couldn’t destroy.
But did this mean Hiroshi could rely on just this finger for future battles?
Honestly, that was doubtful. Sure, it was hard enough, but it was far too short. Even if he extended it to its fullest, it would only be a few centimeters long—shorter than most daggers. Using it in combat would be awkward. If Roger hadn’t cooperated so well, Hiroshi couldn’t imagine anyone dying from such an attack.
But if the finger wasn’t sufficient, could other body parts work?
Hiroshi remembered players discussing more practical body parts, like ribs. They had the right length, hardness, and could easily be carried around. Just pull one out during a fight, and the only problem would be putting it back afterward. Plus, using a bone as a weapon wasn’t exactly stylish… Yes, aesthetics were a consideration too. It isn't Visah'Su's style.
Then someone had suggested using Visah'Su'… well, his "manhood." Length and hardness wouldn’t be an issue, but it might require some visual stimulation before battle to ensure both attributes were up to par… cough, cough, no, too bizarre.
Hiroshi shook his head quickly, banishing the strange thought.
After all, he was Visah'Su now, and the idea of picturing himself as some kind of "manhood warrior" was simply unacceptable.
“L-Lord Visah'Su, is it over yet?”
Hiroshi heard Ulu’s voice.
Unlike Hiroshi, Ulu couldn’t control the body once he relinquished it. He couldn’t perceive the outside world and was left in a void, unable to do anything but communicate with Hiroshi—a state that terrified him. If not for his greater fear of facing Roger, Ulu would have ended this state immediately.

Hiroshi could sense that Ulu could reclaim the body whenever he wanted—after all, it still belonged to him.
Hiroshi felt a bit of regret. It wasn’t that he particularly liked this body; it had far too many issues, probably weaker than even the game’s starting “A man with nothing” class. But it was still a complete body—better than just a single finger.
He could have delayed a bit longer, given that Ulu couldn’t perceive the outside world, but Hiroshi decided it wasn’t necessary. Better to return the body and ease Ulu’s anxiety.
As they say, “Return what you borrow, and you can borrow again.”
Hiroshi opened his hands, wanting to enjoy the feeling of a complete body one last time—to fully experience it.
Then he noticed something about the body.
The backdoor felt… loose.
After the intense battle, it felt like something was about to leak out.
“Damn it,” Hiroshi muttered, quickly relinquishing the body.
The next moment, Ulu regained control. His legs immediately gave out, and he fell to the ground, gasping for breath, clearly still shaken by the fear.
After almost a full minute, Ulu looked up at the corpse before him, his expression changing. “This is…”
“Seems like someone from a cult,” Hiroshi said casually. “One that can partially transform into a beast.”
Hearing Hiroshi’s description, Ulu’s eyes widened, and his voice trembled. “The Wildfire Holy Cult of the Four Major Cults?!”
“Oh? So you know about them,” Hiroshi feigned ignorance. “Did they rise after my death?”
“Uh, I don’t know exactly when you fell, my lord, but they probably did,” Ulu replied, clearly terrified of the cult. “They rose fifty years ago, the youngest of the major cults, and they did so by overthrowing the previous [Beast Path] Cult. They’re extremely radical… but why are they here? This shouldn’t be their territory!”
“Heh, isn’t it obvious?” Hiroshi said. “They’re here for the same reason your fellow priest was.”
Ulu blinked, then looked down at his left hand.
Of course. What else could it be?
It was all for… Visah'Su's power.
“I’ve been dead for so many years, and people are still chasing after my power. It’s kind of amusing,” Hiroshi mused.
Ulu didn’t find it amusing at all. In fact, he was starting to regret ever buying the finger.
Now, he was caught in the whirlpool, his life and death no longer under his control. His only hope lay with the Visah'Su within him.
“W-What should I do now?” Ulu asked.
“What are you scared of? No one knows I’m with you,” Hiroshi said lazily. “This cultist dying here is actually better for you, isn’t it? It provides a perfect explanation.”
“Explanation?”
“Yes. The Rhyo priest and a Wildfire Holy Cult member fought over my finger, both dying in the process—how convenient.” Hiroshi said. “Plus, the finger is missing. Your fellow priest’s next target will definitely be those cultists. Doesn’t that make you safer?”
Ulu thought for a moment, realizing Hiroshi was right, and he couldn’t help but admire him.
“So now, you need to return to the church, treat your wounds, and act like nothing happened. If you stay here, your fellow priest will catch up to you.”
Ulu didn’t understand why Hiroshi called Kelser his “fellow priest,” but he didn’t dare ask. He hurried to leave.
But after just a couple of steps, he collapsed again, vomiting blood and coughing violently.
“L-Lord Visah'Su…” Ulu stammered, “I don’t feel so good.”
Hiroshi knew the reason.
Unlike the last time he snapped his fingers, this time Hiroshi had truly “descended,” and Ulu’s body couldn’t handle the power, leading to a backlash.
If Hiroshi descended a few more times, Ulu would likely be dead.
Of course, Hiroshi wasn’t going to tell Ulu that. He simply said, “Indeed, your body has issues—I can feel it.”
Ulu immediately looked up. “What kind of issues?”
“Your backdoor is too loose. Feels like something might leak out during a fight.”
Ulu: “…”
