It was a regular mundane night in Alex life. He was done with work, which felt utterly pointless in the grand scheme of things. Doing the same thing over and over, just so he could wake up the next day to do it all over again. With all childhood dreams gone, no real friends or close one except for the usual superficial relationships everyone gets throughout life. Walking through the park after groceries shopping, while silently bemusing about what type of entertainment he would pursue on this beautiful star filled winter night so he could forget about the completely gray and dull point he has gotten to in this world.

While having some of his usual fancies of glory and riches maybe even some crazy powers, he saw the biggest shooting star he ever saw
“Heh. Does this mean I should make a wish?"

While having idle thoughts about some random fantasy, panic suffused his whole body. The shooting star was growing bigger and it looked like it was heading directly for him.
Being frozen with shock and indecision the world went dark.
The inglorious end of an average antisocial bloke ended on the front page of news and social media sites, getting his 15 minutes of fame as being the unlucky guy who was hit by a meteorite. Luckily he was the only casualty.
