“Ria and Em, what do you want for dinner?” I asked my girlfriends after we’d calmed down a bit.
“I don’t really care.” Em shrugged.
“How about spaghetti?” Ria proposed.
“You sure? We just ate Italian for lunch?”
“But we didn’t have spaghetti!”
“Fair enough.” I smiled. “Is that good for you too, Em?”
“Yep. As long as it’s not too much work for you.”
“No, I still have some spaghetti sauce in the freezer.” I walked over to the kitchen and my girlfriends followed me along to sit at the dinner table so they didn’t have to yell across the entire living room to talk to me.
As I got the container with spaghetti sauce out of the fridge, Em spoke to me.
“Do you think you’ll have to take Alessia’s last name, Auro?”
“What do you mean?” I looked over my shoulder as I put the spaghetti sauce in a pot. It’d take quite a while to defrost, but it should be fine if I put the heat on.
“If the cool vampire lady adopts you, will you have to take her last name?”
“That’s… a good question.” I scratched my cheek. “What was her last name, again?”
“Di Roma.” Ria quickly replied.
“Right… hmmm…” I thought for a second. “Aurora Di Roma… I don’t know… It sounds a little bit off, doesn’t it?”
“Maybe because you are not used to it, Rora! I think it sounds kinda cute!”
“Hmm, that could be.”
“Maybe her last name is even longer than that as well.” Em then continued. “You know how those old noble houses are, right?”
“Isn’t that more of a German thing?” I asked back. “Like the house of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck.”
“Huh… I actually don’t know…” Em takes out her phone and presumably starts googling the answer. It gives me some time to concentrate purely on the cooking. Five minutes later, she replies. “Looks like you are right. Most Italian noble houses have way shorter last names. Apart from crazy long combinations.”
“Note that down, Ria. That’ll be on the quiz.” I chuckled, Ria did the same.
When she was done giggling, Ria then spoke up. “I think I wouldn’t mind Rora having a new last name. It doesn’t matter that much for me.”
“But what if we get married, Ria?” Em replied. “I really like the sound of Emma Beaumont…” I didn’t look back, but I could tell by her intonation that Em was staring at me with a blush on her face.
“Oh! That’s true!” Ria called out. “Corelia Beaumont sounds cool too!”
“You know the two of you don’t need to take my last name, right? It’s an old tradition anyway.” This time I did turn around to look at my girlfriend, and just as I thought, Em was blushing.
“But… what if we want to, Auro?”
“Ye, what if we want to!” Ria supported our girlfriend.
“Well, of course I’m not going to stop you.” I smiled. “I’d definitely be honored if the both of you took my name. But you shouldn’t feel obliged.”
“You should know us better than that, Auro. We won’t do anything we don’t want to.”
“Well, that’s definitely true.” I chuckled and got back to cooking. “Capellini is fine, right?”
“Is that the very thin spaghetti?” Ria asked.
“Yep.”
“Yes! It’s my favorite.”
“It twirls very easily around my fork, and I prefer the bite it has as well.” Em agreed as well.

“Okido.” I popped the bag of capellini by tapping the bottom end on the counter.
While spaghetti never was my favorite kind of meal, it was pretty easy and fast to make. However, you’d never find me ordering it in a restaurant.
“It’s dewicious!” Ria said with her mouth full of spaghetti.
Em was still calmy twirling her first bite around her fork. “Watch out, your mouth is going to be completely orange because of the sauce.”
“There’s already some on her cheek.” I laughed and grabbed a tissue, offering to wipe the bit of sauce off. Of course, she agreed.
“I just always love Rora’s cooking!” Ria replied after her mouth was empty.
“Would you still like it if I made broccoli instead?”
She stopped dead in her tracks. “I… I would!”
“She just rolled a nat 1 on deception.” Em laughed.
“What does that mean?” Ria asked.
“It’s a thing from a tabletop game, I’ll teach you one of these days. It just means you failed very badly.” Em smiled back.
“Oh!” Ria took another bite of spaghetti. “But I meant it!”
“I’ve got some broccoli in the fridge now. Want me to cook it up for you?” I lied.
Ria stopped again and stared at the fridge. From the way she was squinting, I could tell she was trying to recall what exactly I had in my fridge. “O-ok, maybe not broccoli.” She pouted, not wanting to take the chance.
“Hehe.” I smiled and took a bite of my own spaghetti as well. -Hmm, should probably have added a little more garlic…-
After dinner, Em and Ria helped me clean up the plates and put them in the dishwasher. We then decided to sink into the sofa and relax a bit, since we still had quite a bit of time left before Ria had to go home. I put down a pile of manga on the coffee table so we could all have something to read if we wanted to, although it was mostly Ria who immediately went for one of the volumes. Em and I just watched television.
“You don’t mind us watching tv, right, Ria-chan?” I asked, with the controller in my hand.
“No, it doesn’t disturb me at all.” Ria shook her head. She’d crawled up completely against Emma and was almost using Em as a big pillow. Em didn’t seem to mind. She’d even put her arm around her.
“Alright, but tell us if you want to have the volume lowered.”
“Mhmm.” She nodded and gave me a smile before turning back towards her manga.
“Hey, Auro, maybe we should look for a home with a home cinema.” Em turned herself to me, so she didn’t have to speak as loud.
“Hmmm… do you think we can find a house that has one that’s close enough to school?”
“Good point… but we could renovate a room or so.”
“We could get one of those sunken-in sofas and a huge projector screen.”
“You got won over to my idea quite quickly.” Em giggled.
“Well, there’s more things that we can do on that sofa as well...” I whispered in her ear and then poked my nose against her neck. I could sense a shiver going over Em’s body. It had definitely been a while since I’d directly fed on either of my two girlfriends. Maybe it was time to ‘reset the timer’ so to speak.
“Auro…”
“I’m just going to take a nibble…” I put my lips against her neck and glanced over to Ria who was still reading her manga, however, because of the sly grin she’d going I could tell she was definitely aware what I was doing to Em.
I licked my lips and then chomped down lightly on Em’s neck as a bit of a playbite. She let out a little gasp. I did it another three times before I decided to really sink my teeth in Em’s neck. Her heartbeat had shot up quite a bit as well and it worked really enticingly.
When I sunk in my teeth, Em gasped louder and squeezed my thigh with her hand. She tasted incredibly delicious. I just closed my eyes for a bit while I savored her sweetness and the feeling I was getting from biting her. Every time I bit down a bit harder, she released a muted moan.
“Goddess… Auro…” She squeezed down my thigh again.
I released my bite. “Want me to stop?”
“Maybe… I still need to go… home…”
“Alright then.” I smiled and gave her a kiss on the spot I’d just bitten. The little puncture marks had already disappeared.
Em was struggling a bit to regain control of her breathing again, Ria noticed and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. “Are you okay, Emma?”
“Mhmm.” She nodded back and gave Ria a hug.
“Awh.” Ria hugged her back.
“Aren’t you a bit jealous, Ria?” Em then asked after she was done hugging.
“No.” Ria shrugged. “I know that if I ask, Rora would do it to me as well.” She smiled. “But now I just want to read my manga.”
“That’s very true.” I smiled as well.
Em put her hand on Ria’s shoulder. “Ria, you truly are an angel.”
She giggled. “I know.”
Sadly these good times didn’t last as an hour later both Em and Ria had to go back home. With Helen waiting in the car in front of my house, my girlfriends got their things together.
“So, when are we going to tell Claire? It’s probably best to do it after school, right?” I offered Ria’s bag to her.
“Yeah. That way we can have a longer chat if necessary.” Em nodded.
Ria nodded along as well.
“Good.” I smiled. “See you tomorrow, babes.” I gave them both a kiss and a hug before they left.
“See you tomorrow, Rora!”
“Good night, Auro.”
I stayed at the door until the car disappeared from sight.
-Well… today was a very fruitful day.- I sighed a content sigh and walked into the living room to pet my cat a little bit before deciding to go relax in my bed.
