Heck anyone who had waited for this for as long as she did would literally have a few grandchildren already, or dead. It's been five decades, not that particular length of time would bother her usually, probably because she had not been waiting for something for the last few thousand years. It's been ages since she was quite motivated in her life.

Yeong Chae-won was one of the first few humans that walked the earth, even with that she was unique, she just doesn't die of old age or disease. She doesn't even age, but her body does adapt according to her environment. If she wants to, she can change her looks depending on appearances of the locals. Right now she has the appearance of a twelve-year-old girl. She had many identities before, and since the 20th century, she began going to different countries every fifty years.

Right now she is inside her condo in Seoul, waiting for the time when she can finally play the game. If anyone knew about her circumstances, they would find it weird that an immortal would be anxious to play a game. But to her, it was not any game, it would be her new life. The virtual reality game Victoriam, the biggest and the only full-immersion virtual reality game in the world right now.

Around the 2000s Chae-won had read a popular web novel featuring virtual reality. It captivated her, a world separate from the real one. She had enough of living in this world for quite a while, and the thought of being able to experience another world rekindled her will to live on. At the time it was only a thing of science fiction, but it became possible over the decades, and after five decades of waiting, it is finally here.

She had played the earlier forms of VR back then, they were only limited to wearing a visor and moving using motion tracking devices with buttons for the in-game actions. She wasn't satisfied, so she waited for the day when they developed the technology to allow players to be inside the game and play without actually moving. The full-immersion VR technology was finally released in 21XX, and today was when Victoriam the first full-immersion virtual reality MMO was finally released.

She already had the VR gear ready, it was a sort of a capsule, a bed that can be sealed shut, and inside is a helmet that would connect the user's brainwaves to the machines and to the game itself. It had come with a life support system too. The reason why the technology took so long to develop was the safety for the users. A lot of debates about it went on too, and after so many years, they came up with this equipment that looked like a sci-fi cryogenic capsule.

Of course, it was expensive, costing her quite a sum of money to pre-order it and the game. She bought the best one too, it was the only extravagant thing she had spent her money on for a long time so she didn't mind.

While she was reminiscing about the times she can only dream about VR, her alarm rang. It's only two minutes away from the opening of the server, she quickly checked the life support system-not that she needed it, turned the equipment on, and finally laid down inside the capsule that was placed beside her bed. She wore the helmet and the capsule cover started to turn shut.

"Start," she said, the gear had to be initiated using a voice command, but nothing happened.

"Uhhh, open?" Still, nothing happened, she didn't exactly read the whole manual. "Begin? Ei, Zwei, Drei!"

Thus she spent fifteen seconds to guess the correct word to start the Full-Dive.

"ABRA KADABRA!"

"OPEN SESAME!"

"ZAWARUDOOOO!"

*pant* *pant*

"Initiate!"

[Initiating full dive.]

"..." She can't believe she tried that word last among all the things she said, while she was dying of shame, her consciousness faded.
