The water bubbled and broiled around Felix as he took a deep breath and submerged himself. The liquid sizzled and popped around his body, tickling him as the bubbles cascaded along his skin. The heat faded and he popped up, seeing his new status screen.

The two had gained more muscle definition – and it was much more pronounced on Tinuriel as she jumped out of the water. Felix followed her and the two grabbed towels, drying off before swapping to casual clothing and putting their gear into the Inventory. “Let’s get some rest and then we can look at using the Loot items to make some stuff.”

Tinuriel nodded and the two parted ways with Lucifer as he flew off towards the Mage Academy. The duo went into Felix’s house and near-instantly Tinuriel threw herself at him. He submitted to the powerful woman, quite content with his situation.

The next morning, they lounged about for a few hours, just enjoying some time together.

Hey. We have another choice for you to make. Come out to the council table.

On my way. Felix made his way outside and took his seat with Tinuriel next to him.

Melanie cleared her throat, “Thanks for coming. This is somewhat urgent. We have had some issues with access to luxuries. Some people from Heficyre – Mercantus and Ethdellin specifically – are bringing a large number of supplies into the VBV and their housing is more luxurious than others. This is causing some class division issues.”

Roy leaned forward, “My solution would be to make it so that everyone who entered the VBV would only be allowed to bring themselves and a trunk with whatever they choose. That way, they still have their personal affects, but everyone would be starting from the same ground floor effectively.”

Gina shook her head, “That’s not going to work if you want to bring in future mages. We’d need several dozen trunks to bring our various books, supplies, gear, implements, and familiars.” She looked to Felix, “My proposed solution is that we just allow things to remain as they are. Those who have, can bring it with them. Those who have not can work towards what they desire. That Multiversal Trading Post allows for ready purchase of items that can alleviate these class division tensions.”

Melanie nodded, “My proposal is that you utilize a VBV Function to provide everyone with a luxurious existence whilst they are within the VBV. Furnishing, clothes-”

“That would be several Functions,” Lucifer interjected. “For just those, that’s two different Functions.”

Tinuriel stood up, “I’m a believer that you have to work for what you want. I’m with Roy’s side on this.”

Felix waved his hand for them all to quiet. After a few moments they did so and looked to him. “I’ve been on the edge of poverty. I’ve looked at others who had more than I did with envy. If I have the means to ensure everyone is accommodated, the I am going to do so. I am going to mix ideas from both Melanie and Gina in this case. Lucifer…I assumed but didn’t ask, does the Multiversal Trading Post give us a cut?”

“It does, but it’s a low cut. In summary; everything created here in the VBV – the farms, husbandry, any other industries that end up being created through Rooms and or Functions, can trade with any Universe that you’ve established a permanent portal to using a Multiversal Charge. This does generate an income in Verse Coins. Right now, there’s 500 Verse Coins in the ‘bank’, and we are generating 100 VC per day.”

“Alright. Then what we will do is provide an allowance for every resident. Redistribute the Verse Coins that are generated by the Trading Post. To start us off with that, Lucifer, transfer 4,990 Verse Coins from my inventory to the VBV’s total.” Felix looked to the rest of the table, “I have three Rooms and four Functions that I can implement. What would be required to start up more industries?”

Roy smirked, “Mines. Some way to get ores that can be refined and then crafted.”

“You’d need a separate Room for each type of mine – precious metals, gems, mundane metals, and magical metal.”

Roy looked at Lucifer, “Then he can use a VBV Function to make the mine have infinite resources.”

“Why can’t you just do something that makes infinite resources from nothing?” Gina asked.

“The System has rules. In order to get something, you have to give something. I don’t know why the Admin made that rule, but here we are.”

Felix gestured to Roy, “We’ll use two of the VBV Rooms I have available. One for mundane metals, and one for magical metal.”

“Done.”

Felix looked at the other advisors and Tinuriel, “Any other suggestions for industries?”

Tinuriel shook her head, “We have the Forest City, and Elves can extract wood without harming the trees – we call it tree shepherding.”

“A factory,” Melanie said. “A place where we can convert the raw resources to a finished product.”

Felix glanced over to her and nodded, “Let’s do a furniture factory then. And, as a Function of the VBV, workplace accidents will never happen.”

“Done.”

“Is that all?” Felix asked. Every head nodded. “When I get another level, I’ll make a factory for the metals industry. I’m going to adjourn this meeting. Tinuriel and I have some Loot Forging to do.”

The group left and the two headed into the bunker-like hallway. Felix turned into the Loot Forge and gripped the hammer, taking Tinuriel’s Valiant Edge and the Rime Spike, putting both onto the anvil. A set of instructions appeared in his vision, and he placed the Rime Spike into the correct spot before bringing the hammer down. There was an enormous flash of blue light that caused both of them to wince. The sword’s edge was crusted over with razor-sharp ice and exuded a cool aura. He handed it back to Tinuriel, and she took a few practice swings; the cool mist arcing through the air.

Advanced Classes. And all of them require the Ice Affinity. I’d bet that smashing the Loot Forge Essence – Ice would give that affinity.

“Tinuriel, what do you think? Would you want to go into something like Rime Knight? I’d guess based on the name it’s a class that’s right up your alley.”

She nodded, “I would like that. Other than Warrior and Champion, there’s no real melee oriented Classes suited to me except for Netherlight Myrmidon – and that requires Anima.” She frowned, “It’s weird that the Class doesn’t even increase the Soul Stat since Anima is so vital to it.”

Felix shrugged, “It’s based off of Roy, and he did mention he was a mage and a warrior. It seems like a very specifically tailored Class.”

He brought the hammer down.

New Affinity obviously, since I need it to access the Rime Knight Class. Easy choice. He brought the hammer down and pulling up his Character Sheet, he saw the new Affinity appear. Lucifer, how do we transfer that to Tinuriel?

“We use Execution a lot,” Felix commented. “But being able to use water Magic/Power effects could be extremely useful.”

“Think about future proofing,” Tinuriel said as she leaned against the wall. “You want to find someone to fill dedicated Animancer role. But Execution is so low cost, I’ll be using it consistently.”

If Tinuriel is stepping more and more into the frontliner or tank role, then having Bastion upgraded would be useful.

But if you add a dedicated Animancer as an Escort, they could use Reflection to make barriers and the like. Do you think Tinuriel needs the extra tankiness?

If it’s a damage reflection like I think it is, then it would be a smart upgrade for her since she is getting hit consistently.
