Luke opened his eyes, his vision blurred as he took in his unfamiliar surroundings. The room resembled a hospital room, providing him with some comfort. "So, it was all just a dream," Luke thought, relieved. While he couldn't move his body, he had full control over his head and could look around the room.
"Now, all I need to do is recover and get back to my normal life. But damn, this hospital room is extravagant and luxurious. It's almost as big as my apartment," he muttered, taking in the opulent surroundings. Panic began to settle in as he remembered that he lived in the USA. "Fuck! I hope the car driver is the one paying for this. It was their fault, right? I won't be able to afford a room like this!" Luke's mind raced with worry.
As Luke was lost in his panic, the door to the room slid open, and a couple entered. Luke's gaze shifted towards them, surprised by their striking appearance. Both of them exuded an air of handsomeness, appearing to be in their early thirties. The man carried an aura of nobility, confidence, and authority. His dark hair was neatly slicked back, adding elegance to his overall appearance. His scarlet eyes captivated attention, and he wore a combination of casual black pants, a white shirt, and a dark blue coat-like robe.
The woman, on the other hand, had long silver hair flowing in gentle waves, shimmering like moonlight. Her striking blue eyes held wisdom and depth, while her modest navy dress exuded elegance. Despite her understated attire, she radiated regal aura and goddess-like grace. Luke couldn't help but think, "Oh, they surely look handsome and rich!"
The woman rushed towards Luke, enveloping him in her embrace. "Oh, my little darling, do you know how much I've worried?" she said, her voice carrying a mixture of relief and gratitude.
Luke's brain seemed to stop working as he was pulled into her embrace. "Maria, relax, my dear. Luke is suffocating!" the man intervened, approaching them. Though his tone was casual, it carried the same amount of relief and gratitude.
In that moment, Luke managed to regain his senses, and he asked, his voice filled with confusion, "Umm, who are you guys?"
Upon hearing Luke's question, both the man and woman visibly shook, causing the man to pause. Maria burst into tears and pulled Luke back into her embrace, saying, "My little Luke doesn't remember his mommy anymore!"
"Mom?" Luke's confusion deepened, freezing him in place.
The man regained his composure and gently separated Maria from Luke, asking, "Don't you remember us?"
"No, I don't," Luke replied.
"We are your parents, Luke! You were kidnapped by cult members, and we only managed to find you after three days. When we found you, you were on the verge of death. They had even stripped your crest, something that has never happened before. Your memory loss must be a result of that. So, don't worry, focus on your recovery. I just received a Tier 8 recovery pill for you. The Archmagi had already informed us about the potential for memory loss, but it will recover with time," the man explained, his voice calm on the surface but his clenched fists revealing his underlying tension. After some failed conversation with Luke he stood up say goodbye then leaving with Maria.
Luke was left bewildered, trying to absorb what he had just been told. As he pondered, the door opened once again, and a nurse entered. She respectfully approached him and said, "Your Grace, allow me to help you take your medicine." Assisting him to a seated position, she handed him a round navy blue pill with a wisps of magical aura surrounding it. Luke swallowed the pill, feeling an energy surge through his abdomen and spread throughout his body via his blood vessels. After helping him up, the nurse paid her respects and left.

Fifteen minutes passed, and Luke felt the amazing sensation slowly fade away, leaving his body filled with brimming energy. He realized he could move again. "Ah, it feels good to be able to move," Luke said as he descended from the bed and approached the window. However, on his way, he noticed a reflection in the bathroom mirror, causing him to jump in surprise.
"Ahh? Who are you?" Luke asked, bewildered, as he looked at the handsome young man in the mirror. The reflection mimicked his actions, and it dawned on Luke that he was looking at his own face. "Is that really my face?" Luke touched his face, noticing that he was now taller and had a more muscular yet lean physique. Though he knew he was good-looking, he had never been this handsome before. He desperately wanted to believe that the change was due to the incredible pill he had taken earlier, but deep down, he knew it was not the case. "No wonder that couple from earlier thought I was their son," he murmured, contemplating the cause of this transformation.
"Did I get reincarnated? But why do I still have my past memories? Am I Luke Simmons who got reincarnated into this body, or am I just inheriting the memories of Luke Simmons?" Luke's identity crisis grew stronger as he brainstormed the possibilities. Unbeknownst to him, his subconscious pondering caused his magic power to surge within his body. Pale blue wisps of magical energy swirled around him, as if absorbed by a gravitational force akin to a black hole. Moments later, as more and more magical energy surrounded him, unable to be fully absorbed like a black hole, it abruptly disappeared, suppressed by an unknown force. Luke lost consciousness.
"Where am I?" Luke wondered as he found himself in a dilapidated hallway that seemed on the verge of collapse. The tall, 7-meter-high corridor was about 4 meters wide and constructed with aged bricks, indicating its existence for centuries, if not millennia. While the hallway appeared sturdy despite its age, it was evident that it had been abandoned and untouched by visitors for ages.
As Luke surveyed his surroundings, he noticed that one end of the hallway led towards a source of light, while the other end disappeared into darkness. Confusion filled his mind as he tried to piece together his fragmented memories. "Yes, I remember being in the bathroom, and then... I don't know I reincarnated or I received the memories of someone...And then I lost consciousness?" Luke contemplated, his thoughts racing.
"Let's see... where should I go? How can I leave this place? What brought me here?" Luke pondered, considering his options. "They say it's better to stay in one place and wait for help when you're lost, but who would even be here? And besides, I don't even know who I am!" Luke chuckled at his own predicament, feeling the weight of uncertainty press upon him.
With many possibilities swirling in his mind, Luke ultimately decided to head towards the light. Determined, he embarked on a long, arduous journey, often needing to rest along the way. Doubt and fatigue threatened to overcome him, but he pushed forward, refusing to give up on finding answers.
After what felt like an eternity, Luke finally reached the end of the tunnel. However, instead of being greeted by the sight of the blue sky and warm sun, he found himself in a circular hall with a diameter of 50 meters. In the center stood two pillars, emanating magical energies and adorned with glowing symbols, words, and intricate magic circles. From each pillar, three golden chains extended, also enveloped in magical energy, symbols, and circles, eventually converging at the center.
At the meeting point of the chains, a humanoid figure knelt, facing the entrance from which Luke had emerged. The figure was bound by all three chains at its wrists, neck, and waist. Every time the figure attempted to move, the pillars acted as Tesla coils, sending electric-like energy through the chains, causing the figure to tremble in pain. Curiosity filled Luke as he tried to comprehend the spectacle before him.
Suddenly, the figure raised its head, enduring the voltage coursing through its body, and locked eyes with Luke. It was a breathtakingly beautiful woman with silver hair, golden eyes, and white pupils. Even in her wretched state, her beauty had the power to incite wars and captivate nations.
Then she smiled said slowly "Luke Simmons, I've been waiting for you! "
