I moved back to my room with way to much on my mind. I didn't have to decide right away, but the longer I waited the less camouflage I'd get from registering a crappy power. I either needed to commit and sell myself as one of the sheeple soon, or go completely black. I just didn't have enough information to make the decision.

To take my mind off it I checked the phone that was being repaired. There was no cracks in the case anymore but it didn't turn on, so I decided it needed more time and put it back on the repair rune to cook.

In my next attempt to distract myself, I tried to focus and check my anima levels to see if I could form another rune yet. The feeling was nebulous, but I got the impression that I hadn't quite got there yet.

That raised an eyebrow as i checked the clock and started doing some mental math. I should have written down exactly when I'd created each of the previous runes, because I was forced to use rough guesses to build a timeline. According to my calculations, I needed to wait somewhere between 6 and 12 hours between runes, but did that depend on the type of runes or what I was doing while I waited? Anima comes back naturally, but could I do something to speed it up? There was just so much I didn't know.

I flipped open the notes app on my phone and started jotting down questions, as well as spitballing experiments I could run with my limited resources to try and get some answers.
