Reunion

He was at last back to his hometown. Though he didn't remember it very well he was able to recognize a few landmarks. He was send to a hospital maintained by the government for around 5 years after his mother and father died. The problem is that he can't remember what happened very well. He did not have many things to do beside reading books in the hospital and thus he developed an interest in Logical Reasoning by reading and solving Sudokus, Jokers, Crossword and many logical puzzles which required brains.

Well after 5 years of being away from his hometown Raiku was very curious to check out his childhood friends. As he walked down the road to his house, he was consumed by his old memories of his friends. "Ah! Those were quite some days!" he murmered to himself as he walked only to bump into a blonde girl. Raiku being the one to stand while the girl fell made her very angry and was shouting out very loud "The hell's wrong with you? Can you not see a girl like me walking walking down the road, or was it all very planned you big dork". As about Raiku was going to apologize to her, two people appeared from behind the wall.

Raiku stops speaking and stares at the people who just arrived at the scene with a face purely curious and astonished. The guy from the group ran up to help the blonde girl up, “She might be her girlfriend” was the first thing that came to Raiku's mind. Though his doubts were soon solved as he saw the blonde girl refusing his help, at this Raiku had a good laugh at himself. The second girl seeing him laugh was indeed quite annoyed and came to him just to give a good long lecture. But before she could speak a word more a thought crossed her mind and in a very low voice asked whether he was Raiku or someone else.

Raiku as predicted wasn't able to hear what she said and thus had a blank expression on his face. At this the guys stood up and punched Raiku quite hard, the reason he gave was that Raiku push her down on purpose and didn't reply to the question asked by the second girl, Raiku thought was quite illogical as he kinda knew that not even the guy heard the question asked to him. Well, he didn't wanted a fight so he drew himself out of the scenario just by apologizing to the girl, and as far as the second girl mattered when Raiku asked her to repeat she said “It doesn't mater, we have got a big day today. Don't spoil it for us...” as she said her voice slowly began to fade. At this they bid an unpleasant 'bye' to each and thus parted. Raiku was in a deep thought on the way home, he was quite sure that he'd seen those guys over there somewhere else. Though he didn't remember seeing the blonde girl. He instantly grew sad because he caused trouble for the blonde girl as all the while towards his house he wore a little sad expression. Though he admitted that she was quite beautiful.

As Raiku walked beside the cherry blossoms he instantly knew that he was around his home where he'd invited his childhood friends. The first thing Raiku does before unpacking all his stuff was to decorate the room. His friends were coming over to help him unpack and also to see him after such a long duration. “Let's see, there were Mokoto-kun, Shiro-kun and Azuki-chan and many more coming over right”, Raiku asked himself, “Well let's stay in wait for them”. Hours passed but no one arrived. Raiku being very sad still convinced himself that they might have appropriate reasons, and so he began unpacking his stuff. Suddenly something sort of a stone came flying into the house through the window with a note attached to it. It said ~ Get outside the house ~. Raiku first thought of it as a prank and ignored but again after 2 minutes 5 shots came. One of them had a bracelet, which was recognized by Raiku. He remember it giving to Azuki during his departure when his parents were still alive.

Curiously he gets out of his house and suddenly is greeted by a loads of fireworks. Raiku is in awe by seeing this. “This must be Azuki and gang's doing...” and by saying this to himself he called out their names as loud as possible, at this from behind the bushes jumped a guy on him, followed by 2 girls walking up to Raiku. When Raiku and the girls eye meets they both jump with a huge amount of shock in their body, Raiku realizes that they were the people whom he met earlier.

A huge time gap of silences is observed, only to be broken by the blonde girl apologizing to Raiku for the previous incident. “By any chance are you Raiku?” asked the second girl, at this Raiku instantly knew that they were his old friends though he didn't remember seeing the blonde girl. Raiku replies with a “yes” and before he could speak anything more the guys jumps on him, “ Oh Raiku, We all have missed you so much, welcome back and for earlier sorry ”. Then the girl apologizes and greets Raiku with a big hug! Raiku now was very happy to meet his childhood friends, soon a bunch of more of his friends arrive with a welcoming cake and some bottles of sake too. Inspite of being under aged, Raiku and Mokoto drank too much whereas the girls weren't able to agree and be on par with it's taste. Suddenly Raiku looks around with a puzzled face. Unable to find what he was searching for, he asked Mokoto about Shiro's whereabouts. At this the crowd gathering him became quite, all at once. Raiku was very much astonished at seeing such a reply and then turns to Azuki. In a very low voice Azuki speaks into his ears, “He's dead”. At hearing this Raiku throws up the liquor he had in his mouth. “What in the world do you mean by that?” ~ Raiku asked Azuki who was almost just going to breakdown to tears, She replied, “His cause of death was unknown, but it is belived that it was caused by a deadly insect bite.”. Raiku now more shocked shouted “An insect bite! That just feels like a big fake report!” “Though it isn't” explained Mokoto, “There was an insect bite on his neck”.

Well the whole party went on just fine, except that it was just a bit gloomy. When everyone was paying respect to Raiku's late father and mother, Raiku sits back in a corner remembering his time with his father, mother, Shiro and his friends. He remembers all the good things such as finding and being chosen as the leader of their gang of 24 members just at the age of 14, and the bad things such as fighting Shiro over useless things. His gang was known in the whole city for being the good guys. They usually caught local criminals, helped in solving cases only a detective can solve, and many more. Remembering thoughts all over the place, placed tears in his eyes, though he wasn't crying hard, he was weeping. “Are you fine?” asks the blonde girl, coming over to him. Raiku sees the girl and wipes his eyes. “You certainly look like you aren't fine, may I sit down?”. Without receiving Raiku's permission, she sat down beside him. The girl says “My name is Lily John, I'm from the US, nice to meet you!” Raiku at hearing her soft beautiful voice looks up to her and sees her properly for the first time. Raiku just out of curiosity asks Lily the reason of her bad mood when they met for the first time. Lily shyly said “It is a very long story...” though after much pressure by Raiku she says “... I tried asking Mokoto-kun out, though he rejected me. He said that he had another girl whom he loved. I was angry just to...” She sniffs, “just to hide my tears”. And then as strong as a bomb, she burst to tears, fortunately nobody is able to hear her cry as they started a load of EDM songs.

At once I tried to quite her by trying ways to cheer her up“What an irony...” says Lily, “I came here to cheer you up, though I end up the one who needed to be cheered.”.

At last the party comes to an end and so does the unpacking of stuff. He bids Azuki, Lily, Mokoto and the rest of 20 members a good-bye. He then stares at the stars for about a minute “... My school's gonna start from tomorrow huh?” he questions himself, and without a word he bids himself a good night too.
