Moon rose up high in the sky. The town of Apostle had grown silent, streets empty and doors of the beautiful stone houses locked up tightly. It became a daily routine for the people of Yulia since the attacks of the Vampires began. Vampires were considered to be a myth during Mid Eighteenth century and Late Eighteenth century. But, the cases of vampirism and the deaths of people increased due to a severe loss of blood increased to a great extent in Early Nineteenth century. Thus, a day came when the governments of all countries in Europia received a letter... A letter that changed the way people of Europia used to think. The day when everyone witnessed and realised the existence of a new race, a new threat, a new enemy called 'The Vampires'.
Humanity was shoved into the brink of extinction. Governments of Europia were in complete trouble. Everywhere there was havoc and destruction. Several people died every day and the world descended into a new era, 'The Era of Darkness'.
At last, the countries come to a mutual agreement of making of an independent institution called 'The Council of Counter-Vampires' also known as 'The Guardians of Dawn.'
The institution was set up in every country, state and cities to control the terrorism caused by the vampires. There was a facility called, 'The Krosslia' which kept the prisoner vampires for interrogation.

In the silence of the night, a shadow moved swiftly through the streets of Apostle. He wore a black overcoat and had two swords sheathed at his back. The handle of the sword glinted as he drifted through the roofs of the houses. He had something attached to his torso.
"Ray here, I am in Ward no. 43, hunting an A-Rated Vampire, " informed Ray.
"Joshua here, from CCV Hunting Headquarters, are you in need of assistance, Hunter Ray," asked Joshua.
"No need of sending a backup squad, I can handle it," replied Ray adjusting his glasses that glowed in the moonlight.
"Roger that, just keep updating me with every news, "
"I will try to keep that in mind," said Ray as he jumped off a three-storey building.
He pressed a button which was placed on the thing.

A Rope which had hooks attached to its front came out of that equipment and the hook got struck to the nearest building which was 20 feet away. Ray hung from the rope until he reached the wall. He then took out two sharp knives like object and struck them into the stone wall and started to climb up.
"Welcome! How puny creatures you humans are. Struggling to keep up with us but you will never have what we have 'Immortality'." smirked the man who wore a black cloak and was covering his head with a hood.

"Hehehe... You Vampires had never understood us and never will. Today is your last day bloody vampire. I will make sure you rot in the hell." barked Ray.
"You won't be able to even touch me killing is a far off thing. I am immortal and even the god himself won't be able to stop us. You, humans, are impure creatures and like you, your silver weapons are impure... So, it won't have any effect on us, 'The Emperors of Night'." laughed the Vampire.
"We, 'The Guardians of Dawn', now know your little secret," informed Kai.
"What secret?"
"The secret of making silver effective against Vampires."
"It...It can't be. You must be joking, " said a shocked vampire.
"You wanna know... To make weapons made of silver pure and effective against vampires, one has to mix the silver from a vampire's bone and then forge it in the blood of a vampire. You are no more immortal, " grinned Ray.
"You... I will kill you and feed on your blood, " barked the Vampire and rushed towards Ray.
"He is fast, " thought Ray as he tried to move.
The Vampire lost no time in nearing Ray. The abilities like Super Strength provided him with an agility that was impossible to match by a mere mortal but Ray just did fine with his blades. The Vampire used his sharp claws to pierce Ray's skin but Ray dodged every attack. The Vampire did an unexpected thing...
He took his thumb towards his mouth and opened his mouth wide. The fangs grew till his lower jaw and glowed in the silvery light of the moon. He simply inserted his own fangs in his thumb and started extracting blood from it. Then, He ripped off his cloak revealing a black tight pant. His eyes' pupils started to change its colour from black to red and something came out of his back...
"It can't be... He's developing
Grinze... but, that was just myth, " blurted Ray.
"Don't be surprised... sometimes myths could be the truth which cannot be ignored, " laughed the vampire.
Four Tails came out of his back sharpening itself into four piercing Knives. He then jumped off in the air and arched backwards and then in a swift motion he launched all the knives towards Ray."
"DIE!!!" he yelled
Ray deflected all the knives with the help of his blades but one of his blades cracked. The sharp objects grew back on the back of the vampire and he again launched it towards him. This time Ray dodged all the objects and it hit the roof of the building, piercing it.
The Vampire then neared Ray with super speed and scratched him with the sharp claws and drained all the energy from his body. Ray fell down, lifelessly staring at the vampire with hatred.
"I...I...wi..ll...ki...kill..yo...u" struggled Ray.
The Vampire stood down and came near his ears and whispered slowly,
"Bad news, I can't kill you right now but I want to inform you that we vampires will now be able to roam in the daylight because the thing we were hunting to get rid of the curse is now within our reach. Get ready to suffer... witness our true strength... we shall rise and destroy your puny little continent and make you our slaves. We are the rulers and you are the slaves... Farewell, puny human, " clarified the Vampire as his body became normal.
Ray stayed there lifelessly, watching the vampire vanish through the buildings.
"I...w...won...t...for...g...et, " struggled Ray as his pupils started to close on their own and he got unconscious...
