“Is he still unconscious?” A voice says
“ obviously he is” another replies
“ but how long is he gonna be be asleep for?”
“I don’t know! And stop poking his face”
“Oh look I think he is finally awake”
Taiyou finally regains consciousness “ how long was I asleep for?” He asks
“About a week” a voice replies
Taiyou looks up and sees a petite dark haired woman with blue eyes wearing a nurse outfit
“Who are you?” Taiyou asks
“ I’m kenzo, captain of squad 8” says a young man, around 6”2 , with a brown colored short hair and had an aura that was calm yet unwelcoming and a voice that was calm but you wouldn’t dare disobey
“What happened and how did I get here?” Asks taiyou
“Have you forgotten what happened?” asks kenzo
Taiyou remembers what happened almost immediately
“ so my sister really died huh?” He says trying to hold back his tears
“ unfortunately” says kenzo
“ why am I still alive?”
“We don’t know either, when I saw you that night I was sure it had ripped out your insides, yet when I finally arrived at the scene your body was fresh and had no wounds whatsoever and I saw that thing decapitated with its head on the floor, your regenerative abilities are not human it’s almost impossible to believe, are you sure you’re not one of them?”
“Them?” Taiyou asks
“ the vampires I mean”
“Vampires?”
“ the creatures that attacked that night and killed your sister , they’re vampires”
“Are you for real? They exist?”
You saw it with your own eyes own very eyes the other night boy”
Taiyou remembers the creature he saw that night and how it matched all the descriptions he had ever heard about vampires
“So where is this place?” Taiyou asks
“ this is the base of squad 8” kenzo replies
“Squad 8? What is that?”
“ in other words we are vampire hunters”
“Huh? Vampire hunters, you mean there are people who can hunt vampires?”
“ yes and we are one of them, although not anybody can just become a vampire hunter”
“What do you mean” Taiyou asks?
“ you also have the abilities of a vampire hunter, you awakened them on the night you lost your sister”
Taiyou remains silent deep in thought still trying to process everything he has just learned
“ so are you up for it? will you join us and become a vampire hunter?” Asks kenzo
Taiyou remains silent for another moment, then he speaks
“ I’m not sure I’m cut out for this type of stuff”
“I see so that’s your decision, I guess you can g-“
“ but if it means I can help people and they don’t have to suffer what I went through that night, then I’ll gladly hunt down those bastards even if it costs me my life”
Kenzo looks at him “ even if it means giving up your life?”
Taiyou looks at the palm of his hand “ even if it means giving up my life” he replies
“ good” kenzo says “ miwa here will escort you to your room” he says as he points to the nurse “ your training will start tomorrow morning”
Next Day
As the birds sing, and the sunlight rays hit everywhere Taiyou is up early for the first time since he can remember, he is putting on their training uniform which makes the training tougher cuz it’s extremely heavy which is perfect cuz their actual hunting uniform is also heavy, the design of their overall is just a blue cargo overall jumpsuit delivered to his room last night, while their actual uniform is a dark, late nineteenth century suit, and either a long duster style / Sherlockian coat with a mantle, or coat with long cape that covers the shoulders. Often there are white cuffs sticking out of the coat from the suit.
Taiyou steps out of them room and goes to the training arena to meet kenzo
“ Good morning commander kenzo”
Kenzo turned around” Good morning taiyou”
“ I didn’t know the training arena was outside at the front of the main building” taiyou looks around and see the training court looks more like a sport arena cuz there is a field and tracks but he chooses to ignore it
“ today I shall be teaching you about the basics of divine energy and divine pressure, I’m not teaching you and the other rookie in class with the others cuz we’re already in mid term and I can’t be taking the whole class all the way back to the basics”
“There are others?” Taiyou asks surprised
“Yea I’ll introduce both of you to them today”
“ both of us?”Taiyou asks
“Oh yea, there is another rookie apart from you”
“What’s he like?”
“Um I don’t really get the kid either, but never mind that you will get to see him today”
“Ok” Taiyou replies
“Now have you ever heard of divine energy and divine pressure?”
“No, what’s that?”
“ Divine pressure can be said to be pure or holy energy and not has it in them only a few chosen ones have it”
“ woah so even I have it?”
“Yes you do. Now divine energy is what can be used to exorcise the vampires, without it you can’t kill them”
“ what will happen if you try to fight them without divine energy?”
“ you may injure them and even deal them mortal wounds but they will simply regenerate”
“ woah”
“ yea, but with divine energy they can’t regenerate. Now the amount of divine energy varies within people and so does the color”

“ that’s a simple way to think about it, but having more divine energy doesn’t necessarily mean you are stronger than others, it depends on the amount you can release and how well you can control it, so the more control you have over your divine energy the stronger you get”
“ ok seems easy enough”
“Now let me demonstrate”
Kenzo takes a deep breath and then white energy surrounds his body
“Woah” exclaims taiyou your body is surrounded by white energy
“Yes, now see what happens when I channel it”, now the divine energy moves from his body and now only around his fist
“So cool, and is everybody’s divine energy white?”
“No like u told you the colors vary for some people, tho the most common colors are green and orange, and the rarest are white, purple, black and red”
“Ok I seem to get it now”
“ now to divine pressure, this is one of the two things that separates a strong hunter and a weak one, not every hunter has divine pressure”
“So what is it?”
“Well divine pressure is more like your aura or blood lust, to basically put it you have to be born with divine pressure and once you have it there is no question that you will be extremely strong”
“Ok but you haven’t exactly told me what it is”
“It’s simply the strength of your presence, in fact if it’s too strong people who are weaker than you won’t be able to move, but”
“But what?”
“Keep in mind that it’s not only humans who posses divine energy and divine pressure”
“You mean the vampires have it too?”
“Not all, only the special higher ranked vampires have it”
“Oh I see, but you don’t seem to have divine pressure cuz I’m standing beside you and I don’t feel anything whatsoever”
“Need I demonstrate?”
“No need I don’t think you can use divin-“
Suddenly taiyou is down on his knees as if being crushed by a giant invisible boulder
“Wh, wh, what is this I can’t move, I can’t even breathe properly, it feels like gravity is working against my body and trying to crush me” he looks at kenzo then realizes it’s his divine pressure “is this the strength of a strong vampire hunter? It’s overwhelming” it finally stops and taiyou can move and breathe again
“That was just a demonstration” kenzo said looking plain, “some people can hide their divine pressure if they wish”
Taiyou nods
“Now let’s go time to introduce you to your teammates”
At The Battle Arena Inside The Building
There are two people training who are wearing the same training kit as taiyou, the first is girl with long Lucious brown hair, about 5”5, and is properly developed as a lady both at the back and front. The second is also a girl ,with blonde hair tied into a ponytail, about 5”7, doesn’t smile and is holding a staff.
“Yo” greets kenzo
“Good morning commander” greets the brown haired girl who seems to have a cheerful personality
“Mornin” says the blonde haired girl who seems to have more of a rude personality
“Today we have two new comers”
“Two new comers?” Asks the brown haired girl
“Yes” replies kenzo “come here” kenzo shouts
Taiyou steps out and sees the two girls
“ yo my name is Taiyou”
“Taiyou? Like the sun?” Asks the brown haired girl
“ I’m not sure wether that’s what it means but I think so”
“The brown haired girls name is kimiko” says kenzo
“Nice to meet you” says kimiko as she walks over to shake taiyou
“ nice to meet you too” he can’t help but notice her giant breasts sticking out
“While the other girls name is sayuri, you may have a hard time with her” says kenzo
“Yo nice to meet you my name is Ta-“
“Not interested” interrupts sayuri
“ what’s her problem?” Taiyou asks confused?
“ oh come on out”
“Huh?”
A boy comes out, he’s featured are distinct, his hair is pitch black and a long wolf cut style pitch black eyeballs, he’s 6”0, and is also wearing the training uniform
“I’d like you all to meet katsuragi” says kenzo
“ yo” katsuragi waves and smiles
Taiyou can tell that something about that boy is not normal
“You mean from the katsuragi clan? I thought they were all dead?” Asks kimiko
“Yes, he is the last and only survivor of his clans massacre” replies kenzo
“Yo my name is Taiyou” he says to katsuragi
“Cool Taiyou, like the sun?”
“ why does everyone keep asking?”
“Hey my name is kimiko, has anyone ever told you how good looking you are?” She says as she shakes him and continues to stare at his face
“Plenty” katsuragi replies, katsuragi notices sayuri “hello there my name is katsura-“
“Not interested, pretty face” she interrupts
Katsuragi looks at taiyou “what’s her problem?”
“I’m also trying to figure out” taiyou replies
“ kimiko and sayuri I leave both of them in your hands I’ve taught them both about divine energy and divine pressure so teach them the last and mist important part” says kenzo
“ why can’t you do it” questions sayuri
“ cuz I’m the commander and u can do what ever I want” he replies “ now if you will excuse me” he says as he walks away
“Ok both of you listen up” commands sayuri “ both of you should seat with your legs crossed”
Few Minutes Later
“ we’ve been sitting like this for a while, in tired” taiyou complains
“Shut up” says sayuri “ now both of you listen up, do you know the most important thing that keeps us alive?”
“Food” says taiyou
“Water?” Asks katsuragi
“Games?”
“Phones?”
“Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, both of you are more stupid than you look, the thing that gives us life and the very essence of divine energy and pressure is the soul”
“ the soul?” Asks taiyou
“ yes the soul, we hunters are only able to fight vampires by connecting with our souls, if you can’t connect with your soul you can’t harness divine energy, now since commander kenzo has already taught you about spiritual pressure let me tell you about the second thing that makes a strong hunter different from a weak one, it’s called SOUL DISTORTION”
“What’s that?” Asks taiyou
“ can you just shut up and let me finish?”
Taiyo keeps quiet
“ now like I was saying it is rare for hunters to be able to use soul distortion, soul distortion is a supreme technique where your soul can become a mythical creature,simply put it as when you and your soul have truly become one “ she looks at katsuragi “ it shouldn’t be hard for you seeing you are a katsuragi, your natural talent should make you an extremely strong hunter, although even though your a katsuragi attaining soul amplification will be extremely hard even with your abilities and talents. It’s only a matter of time before your eyes change”
“ eyes change? Katsuragi? What is she talking about? Who exactly is this guy?” These are all the thoughts in taiyou’s head
“Now both of you will have to connect with your soul, clear your mind, close your eyes and think of nothing” commands sayuri
They both follow her instructions
“Once you do this try to locate where the energy from your body is coming from and once you do that you can locate your soul, once you locate your soul you would be able to access your divine energy and use it”
Taiyou is in his mind and is thinking of nothing, he can feel where the energy is coming from, but it doesn’t feel nice it feels scary and evil like the voice that spoke to him on that night, he tries to locate the source of the energy and finally finds it, now he’s located his soul
“ woah where is this, I can’t see a thing it’s pitch black, where is my soul? Oiiiii, oiiiii, soul come out here it’s me the owner of the body”
“Boy” a voice as deep and heavy as thunder sounded, just like the voice that night
“Who are you?” Asks taiyou
“Me?” The voice says, the voice shows itself, it has the same shape and build as taiyou but is pitch black, the creature cackles “ I’m you, I’m your soul”
“ you can’t be m, you look like something that crawled out of the pit of hell” says taiyou
“is that anyway to appreciate me after saving your life that night?”
“ so it was you? Anyway I’m only here cuz I need to be able to access my divine energy”
The creature cackles once again “ah I see so that what you need, fine I shall grant it to you, I want to see how this will play out, I hope you will entertain me” the creature cackles and disappears
Taiyou is back to the mortal world, he looks beside him and sees katsuragi is still trying to access his divine energy.
“Were you able to access?” it asks sayuri
“I’m not sure” taiyou replies
“As expected he is talentless I’m not ready to baby sit a weakling, I’ll just ignore him-“ suddenly there is a a strong push of force on both sayuri and kimiko as if gravity is working against them they both are flat on the floor
“ this divine pressure it’s just like commander kenzo’s, no it’s way creepier like something extremely evil” says kimiko
“ whose divine pressure is this? It feels like it’s sucking the life out of me” says sayuri, she looks at Taiyou and realizes it’s him, but how is he doing it? Suddenly it stops, sayuri and kimiko get up, sayuri grabs taiyou by the shirt
“ what was that?” She questions
“ I don’t know” Taiyou replies
“Are you even human?”
Sayuri looks at katsuragi and notices that he was unfazed by taiyou’s divine pressure
“ he is from the katsuragi clan so it’s to be expected that he can withstand divine pressure that strong”
Katsuragi finally opens his eyes
“ oooh, were you able to access your divine energy?” Asks taiyou
“ I think so” replies katsuragi, he concentrates and then a dark shade of purple energy cloaks his body
“ you were able to do it” says kimiko
“ color purple, the second rarest color of divine energy, as expected you have talent” conments sayuri
“ I don’t think taiyou was able to access” his says kimiko
“ wrong” says katsuragi he was
Sayuri and kimiko both glacé at Taiyou and see a dark cloak of energy surrounding his body, the dark energy he such an even aura to it that it made both sayuri and kimiko scared
“ y, y ,your divine energy is color black” says kimiko
“ yea it’s cool” says taiyou
“ cool” says katsuragi, then him and taiyou high five
“Black divine energy is forbidden energy, and there are only two entities who have ever wielded forbidden energy in history, these two are gonna be extremely strong, possibly stronger than all the commanders ” sayuri says in her mind
“ good job both of you” says sayuri “ the enterance exams are coming up soon, it’s pretty ruthless, hopefully your prepared, it won’t be easy”
“ I’m up for a challenge” says taiyou
“Let’s do this” says katsuragi
Sayuri smiles “ hmph the rookies aren’t that bad after all”
