“MAGNIFICENT!!!”

Vlad shouted, impressed, as he held the smartphone in his hand, staring at it with great interest.

“You're telling me this small device can communicate across countries and continents? Not only that, but with it, I can find information on practically everything I want?!!”

He said in astonishment and a great deal of excitement. He looked the smartphone over, carefully turning it over front and back as he scrutinised it trying to find its secrets

“What sort of magic was used to create such a thing? Who was the magic genius that did it?”

The thing on his hand not only made letters obsolete, but it also made libraries obsolete; plus, with this, instead of having no proper way to communicate with his wives when they were out of range, he could simply use this smartphone to ascertain their whereabouts. This thing was beyond useful.

“I'm afraid no magic was used to create that device, in fact, no mages were involved in making it, the cell phone was invented by a human with zero magic abilities”

Dominic explained with a small smile on his face, the astonishment in Vlad's face was something he believed he'd never witness.

“Do not lie to me Dominic, while I can acknowledge that humans are a crafty species, they have managed to survive this long with creatures like us that feed on them but such a thing can never be done without help from the magically gifted”

Vlad denied it, He in no way thought humans were incapable of creating great things the features of humans that he respected were their ingenuity and spirit however for creatures that couldn't wield magic without help, he found it hard to believe that they could create such a brilliant and revolutionary device without the aid of something or someone magically gifted.

“I'm afraid that is the truth, my lord; in the past 200 hundred years, humans have managed to make a multitude of things that one would think impossible without magic, yet they did.”

“I have to see how this is made myself, no words will convince me till I witness how it's created”

He said, tossing the phone at Dominic and sitting back down on the couch; he simply did not want to accept that such a brilliant device worked completely independently from the supernatural.

Even the so-called S.E.E organisation that his wives told him about worked because of humans using magic; without magic, humans were simply no match for the supernatural.

“I understand my lord, I'll try and find the factory and request a tour”

Dominic said that although he supposed that it would be unbelievable to anyone who has yet to fully experience the world as it is right now, he didn't expect Vlad to be so hard to convince of something so trivial.

“You do that.”

He said as he lounged on the couch and let Dominic continue his babble about the history of the last 200 years; it was interesting to find out about all the things that happened in that time frame; a lot of wars happened, which was typical of every species that can think.

Unfortunately, their study session was cut short as Elizabeth burst through the room, ducking from the ice spears thrown at her head.

“Oh, come on, Val! It's just Ice cream, I didn’t even eat it all”

She pleaded as she flew around the room, dodging the eerily sharp spears of Ice that sought to impale her. It was unfortunate that her pleas went unheard as the ice queen only responded with more spears, her wrath would not be quelled.

Their sudden arrival had quickly turned the room chaotic, with Dominic doing his best not to get impaled while Vlad simply sat on his couch, already waiting for this spat to end; this was typical of the two, so he was used to it; in fact, he found it to be oddly nostalgic.

“ Val, please be reasonable, I didn’t even finish it”

Elizabeth tried to reason, but that fell on deaf ears as another spear of ice was launched in her direction, forcing her to avoid it.

*Crash!!*

She was quick to duck down and let the ice spear crash onto the wall and shatter into pieces.

“I didn't even give you permission to eat It, now pay with your blood, you bitch!”

Vlad couldn't help but note that her voice was a bit more angry than she usually would be at Elizabeth’s antics.

“It's just ice cream, it's not a big deal, or are you still salty that I got to him first”

Elizabeth responded with a cocky grin on her face, only amplifying Valerie’s rage; although one could never tell by looking at her face, the blue-eyed vampire jumped into the air, this time planning to use her hands to choke the bitch, since the ice spears had proved ineffective.

As the two continued their spat, Vlad turned his head towards the door and quirked a brow before smiling, it seemed that he had visitors.

“I think it would be a good time for me to loosen my bones, don't you think?”

He asked the half-vampire that was being used as a shield by Elizabeth to protect herself from Valerie’s wrath; the whole situation was quite comical in his eyes, eliciting an amused smile from his face.

“What!”

The two women shouted in unison as they heard him speak, with Elizabeth quickly jumping over both Dominic and Valerie and grasping Vlad's arm.

“Oh I know the perfect place for our date, plus you need some new clothes, I know just the store that has the clothes you’d like”

Elizabeth said as she clung to his arm; however, Valerie didn't react to her actions as she was able to quickly notice what Vlad was alluding to.

“Oh it's not anything like that my dear, We have guests so I thought I'd greet them personally”

Vlad explained, causing Elizabeth to raise a brow before focusing her senses and realising what Vlad was talking about.

“There's no need to take of them yourself M'lord I can–”

“No, no. Dominic, it's imperative that I stretch my arms and legs, a good battle will help me reinvigorate myself”

He informed, the two wives shared a glance and decided not to oppose him on the issue; despite him not being at full power just yet, it would be good to have him experience battle; after all, it has been two centuries, and he needs to re‐learn how to move his body properly.

“If that's how you feel, then no one here has a right to stop you, so we'll let you deal with it, darling”

Valerie informed as she slumped on the couch, Elizabeth gave a nod to her words and joined her on the couch.

Vlad exited the room with slight eagerness and as he did so, Elizabeth spoke to their half-vampire butler

“Dominic bring us something to eat while we wait”

Dominic gave a bow and exited the room going to the Kitchen, the mood had switched to serious in an instant, they were just fighting moments ago yet the sat in silence together like nothing ever happened.
