Day 1
We have a grand ambition. This project is going to be amazing. As a mage myself, knowledge is power! Despite being a senior member of our organization, hERO Bane, they really went all out to restrict information about this project. I just know it is going to change the world, we're going to make a 'Hero'.
Day 2
Okay, I know now a lot more information than before. Lower-tier members might not even know what this project is about. So, we kidnapped a few humans from a nearby village. Scratch that, we burned the entire village down to the ground and kidnapped everyone there.
Except for the humans under the age of 15. We only kidnapped adults, though I think 15 is too old, I already felt like an adult when I was 14 or 13. Anyways, yeah, no children. Adults only!
So we just killed all the children and took there souls instead. Children souls have a lot of uses, we can use them for 'Divine Alters', 'Eldritch Eaters', 'Death Reincarnation', 'Angel blessings', and much more.
Alright. We first started using some skills. Of course. We completely got rid of the egos in those humans. They still have souls, we just removed the ego of the soul. It's strange and overly complicated. If we removed the soul, then it won't be able to level and gain EXP. How else are we supposed to make the ultimate weapon without it being able to level up?
Later, a lot of our test subjects collapsed and died. Humans are egoistic creatures, they need an ego to pilot there soul. Well, pilot is the wrong word. Hmm... How do I explain this? Like ego is the brain while the soul is the body. So, some species cannot live without an ego, especially humans. They are inherently selfish. As a human myself, I completely agree!
So we had to needlessly waste a ton of mana to continue sustaining the soul and physical body. Usually the soul, even without an ego, can sustain the body, but such is the nature of humans. They cannot even sustain there own body. I wish I was born as an elf or dwarf. Maybe not dwarf, Draganic?
We sold a few children souls to an ancient lich and a Nightmare Necromancer. We got ahold of a few cursed relics and tons of [Black Mana] which we can pump our test subjects full of to continue making them more likely to survive. Everything is going excellently.
Day 4
I got caught up in too much work so I didn't have time to write a Day 3 entry. They assigned me to constantly pump [Black Mana] into this certain body. It was a minotaur which they caught from a forest. I had to, 24/7, supply it's body with [Black Mana] along with seven other mages.
Finally, we made an 'Abyssal Minotaur' which has already been long invented by other organizations. They just needed to harvest it's heart. Then they ordered to have some more [Black Mana] pumped directly into it's soul, luckily, I wasn't assigned to it. Suck it Bernardo! That damn fire mage, thinking he's so much better than me. What a hot-blooded brat.
We had to kidnap more humans so we signed an agreement from the neighboring kingdom to donate there criminals to us. I don't think they would act very fondly of us if we asked them if we could slaughter a few villages. We got about 1,000 new test subjects. The ones we kidnapped from the village are almost all out. Except for about twelve of them. We have already pumped them with [Black Mana] and considering how they haven't died yet, experiments with [Golden Mana] are already being set in motion.
The cursed relics have been fused with some of our test subjects. Some mages have already done this before and they created Relic Beings in which infused with [Black Mana] is turned into a Dark Relic Being. These creatures sometimes shed [Artifact Residue] which is can be only found by destroying extremely rare and strong artifacts. By doing that, they release dust which is called [Artifact Residue]. But now, we don't need to do that. We have Dark Relic Beings to shed for us and we can easily get that ingredient.
Day 5
[Golden Mana] tests were successful. In some sense. The test subjects have great power flowing through them, though very dark due to the [Black Mana]. We got more test subjects to turn into Dark Relic Beings and we finally used the [Artifact Residue] for something. We tried infusing it with some of the [Golden Mana] humans and we ended up lost 3 of our valuable test subjects. Only 9 more test subjects with [Golden Mana] remain, though I hardly think we will only have 9 after today. After all, more [Golden Mana] tests are being carried out. They have to do something, right?
We decided that the [Artifact Residue] had too much artifact energy to be absorbed by biological matter. We had to dilute it somehow. So we just did what we always do, pump it full of [Black Mana]. It solves all your problems!
We tried infusing the now-turned [Dark Artifact Residue] into our test subjects and it actually worked. Nothing has changed physically, but there soul is now overflowing with power, and different types of power. Such as healing power, fire power, ice power, divine power, and much more. Artifacts are pretty versatile y'know? And yet, it is not enough. We need a 'Hero', like in the legends. Mystical heroes from another dimension summoned by the Great Goddess. So for us to create a hero, we need something from the Goddess. She doesn't exist though.
Our men in the north had sent an expedition to the Cosmos. A strange place very far up, it reminded us of the starry skies, that's why it's called the Cosmos. Some ways to get up there is a ladder that seems to stretch all the way to infinity. Eventually it reaches the Cosmos.
Our men signed a contract with a Reaper and it guided us through a cave which led to the Cosmos. We previous tried without the support of a Reaper, but the maze was far too large and many dangerous entities lurked there. The cave itself it filled with mana so dense that if your body wasn't high-leveled enough, you would be crushed by the overwhelming pressure.
We continued making more Abyssal Minotaur's, harvesting there hearts, then filling there soul with [Black Mana]. Once we had enough darkened souls, we harvested them too. We sold the rest of the minotaur's body. The hearts were used to make a variety of alchemical items, I'm not too familiar in that region so I didn't understand anything.
Day 6
Day 8
They finally came back with good news. I tried to write some new entries but the work is starting to get more intense. They wanted to me completely and magically configurate the souls of goblins. The Minotaur souls were used as buffs and ingredients for special tools to help with magically configurating aspects of a being.
Oh right, the good news. The men from the north just barely managed to survive the great forces living there. Our theory is that the Cosmos is the higher realm and much bigger than our world, Avalon. Some great creatures were duking it out and our men managed to grab about twenty vials of there blood. The shockwaves killed a lot of our weaker men.
The vial contains the blood of higher beings. They must've broken the level barrier. They have to. Our men are extremely strong and almost nothing in Avalon can stop them. So now, we have this vial to act as a substitute of the Goddess's power. If she exists, I would love to research her.
Yesterday they ordered a shipment of [Transcendent Mana] which is probably the highest grade of mana. At least in Avalon. Anyways, the shipment reached today and now we can supply our most prominent test subjects with this mana. We now have about 211 test subjects with [Golden Mana] and [Dark Artifact Residue]. Things are looking good for us. Infusing [Transcendent Mana] with our test subjects takes a bit of time. It's now a waiting game to see which test subject digests it first.
Day 11
Our first test subject to digest the [Transcendent Mana] is codenamed A01, The first letter, and first number. The first of firsts. We have many expectations for A01. I'm quite excited. This is the first being to have [Black Mana], [Golden Mana], [Transcendent Mana], AND [Dark Artifact Residue] all in one! We just have to wait for the rest of the test subjects to digest it.
Meanwhile, the configuration was a success! It surprised almost everyone working on the project. We had a dedicated team, which included me, researching and testing configuration methods on goblins. We actually made a goblin evolve before it even reached Level 20! This is maddening! This is against the laws of god! Well, we actually possess the vial containing the blood of gods. Nothing can stop us! Nothing!
Day 13
A lot of our test subjects seem to be struggling with surviving after digesting [Transcendent Mana], we may need some sort of vitality mixture to increase there chances of survival. Meanwhile, A01 actually talked! Though, his mental state was still blurry. It was like he was a baby.
So, we trapped him in a cell isolated from the outside world. He must've grown an ego. Which is practically impossible but, this whole project has been full of impossible.
An idea just popped into my mind. We looked for maybe the Troll Emperor bloodline to steal from, because trolls often have great regeneration. We already have some of that bloodline in our warehouses. We just need to infuse it with some other materials to make it suitable for absorption. However, additionally, we could find a snake. The Guardian Snake. He came down from the Cosmos and rained down destruction for 50 years before going to sleep. It's been 450 years since that happened. Maybe... We kill him? You see, the Guardian Snake became essentially unkillable, every time it had injuries the Guardian Snake just shed it's skin and it was completely fine. If we could get some of it's materials... I wonder...
Day 21
I've been so busy lately, it's hard to tell what's up and down anymore. The Constellation Destruction Coalition had been formed to slay the snake. Our organization is probably the most largest one out of all organizations. Plus, with the aid of some kingdoms and empires, we gathered enough strong warriors to possibly slay the Guardian Snake.
Ancient masters and legendary warriors who were thought to be dead for centuries emerged. Some preceding the chaos of when the Guardian Snake came down. It was going to be a legendary battle. I'm so excited, if it succeeds, imagine all that knowledge from the insides of that snake. Ooh!
Day 31
The snake had woken up and caused all of Avalon to tremble. The battle between the Constellation Destruction Coalition and the Guardian Snake is still ongoing. I assume heavy casualties. They'll need to hit the snake in one go, but seeing as how the battle is still going on, they didn't succeed for the one hit one kill. It'll get harder as time passes as there strength dwindles while the Guardian Snake is still in peak performance. I wonder how it'll go.

More of our test subjects have grown egos. It's surprising actually. We isolated more of them. Originally, we were going to fuse all of our test subjects into one, but what if we had an army of heroes? The thought itself makes me salivate. Our egoless test subjects number in the hundreds of thousands, and those infused with our materials are about 7,000. Those with egos number around 200. We're thinking of destroying there egos but there is risk of losing everything they gained and accidently killing them. We won't take that risk. At least, not yet. We're not that desperate.
Day 42
It succeeded! It really did! The Guardian Snake died! The warrior who dealt the final blow, Lewis Bino, is most probably the highest leveled person in Avalon. But the most important thing is, we get the corpse of the Guardian Snake. They can take whatever magical runes or skill tones the Guardian Snake dropped. As long as we get the rights to the body.
Day 43
We completely disassembled it's huge clunky body. The scales were infused with huge amounts of unknown mana. The meat and bones had special spells all over it. Probably from it's passive buffs. We immediately started the combining process. We used lot's of [Transcendent Mana] and rare liquids from across the world to ready the materials for absorption. The Troll Emperor was actually hunted down and killed by one of our special teams and we used it's blood and refined it over and over again before fusing it with other materials.
The Troll's blood goes first. Over the past few days, our mage team found out that using soul configuration to infuse materials with biological matter is the way to go. Usually we used a bunch of tools and mana strings to do minuscule cuts on the soul, and use some methods to transfer the materials inside then quickly repair it and hope it get's absorbed. However, soul configuration, makes it so it was like part of the being in the first place. This is the most legendary state of experimenting. This is biological engineering!
Day 45
We found that many of our test subjects rejected the Troll's blood so we just used brute force and channeled more extreme amounts of mana into our soul configuration and managed to fuse it with them. Much to the subjects pain. We would knock them out, but they absorb it better if they are conscious. Oh well, not our fault. Blame mother nature... I wonder what materials could be found in mother nature?
Day 49
The snake bits took a bit of processing, lot's of boring stuff in my opinion. Then we infused it within our test subjects. This time it caused extreme pain, though it meant lot's of activity for the brain so it would absorb the material faster and better. Making them even more resilient and powerful. For some of our prominent test subjects we used pain enhancing spells. More activity means better stats! Or at least that's what we think. Never actually tested it. We could use some memory deletion spell but it requires large amounts of mana which we can redirect to better causes.
We think we are almost done with our super weapon. We've actually locked there souls using soul configuration.
Oh and, another Demon King was selected. These damn nasty bastards always keep coming back for more. And they get stronger and stronger. They become as strong as those higher beings from the Cosmos. This is why we made our super weapon.
Day 50
Seeing the destructive force of the Demons, maybe we need a bit more kick to our heroes. There is a special void altar somewhere in Avalon. We can make another contract to give our Heroes the blessing of the Void. The Void, is technically not much better than the demons. However, they sometimes have Reapers make contracts with us and we get lot's of goodies. We have a bunch of children souls so no need to worry.
Day 54
Something strange happened at our base of operations. A weird crack appeared in the air. Something leaked out but it got absorbed by the test subjects who were being held in the cells underneath that crack. We checked Ultimate Appraisal on all of them, but nothing weird happened. Strange.. I'm sure it wasn't nothing, but I guess the thing that leaked out was so miniscule that it doesn't matter. Oh well! Just another day on the job.
The Void Altar was found and we made a contract with a Void King. We trusted some junior diplomats to the job. Now we have some void shards. Just touching it gives you a -100% EXP Gain for an hour. Imagine what absorption would do. Though, I'm sure with all of the mana in the body the penalty can get nullified.
Day 69
Ahh.. What a nice day. I'm feeling terrific. Nothing bad is happening, at all. The Void Shards were absorbed beautifully! With cries of agony of course, but to make the super weapon, we need everything possible,
Day 74
Our test subjects with egos now number close to 100,000! We plan to sacrifice all that energy to one person. It'll be subject A01, our first of firsts. The first to become a weapon of mass destruction. The amount of buffs he'll have can rival those higher beings from the Cosmos. The only problem is how to deal with if he get's too strong. Maybe we can destroy his ego and replace it with a spirit who's in a contract with us. Many plans...
Day 78
Weird things have been happening. Specifically to our test subjects. Some of them show much more signs of sentient life. Which, I guess they are. They're a new species too. However, the amount of things inside them is convoluted that even with Ultimate Appraisal we can't see any of there levels, stats, or species. Just the effects. Which is weird, since Ultimate Appraisal should've been able to see that. Even with all the buffs.
Though I guess it doesn't matter. Anyways, we decided to destroy all the egos of the test subjects. Including A01. It'll make the fusing process of all of our test subjects easier. As for resistance... It won't happen. Despite these guys being sentient and having egos, they're in a dream state. It's like being half-asleep, while drunk and also being a fucking tree.
Day 81
On about Day 90 We're planning to wipe all egos. Were currently harboring mana and multiplying it so we can do it all in one go. Meanwhile, something incredibly strange happened. All the test subjects... woke up. They became, sober? Like, they woke up from there dream state. They can think clearly. Like a real human. Well, they aren't humans anymore, so there thought process is probably different.
Wiping the egos will now be a lot harder so we're getting additional help. Also, one of our guards were attacking by a test subject. The guard had came into the cell, gave it food, and was about to leave. Then the test subject had changed his face from one of 'drooling everywhere with a creepy smile on it's face' to 'I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL THE SHIT OUT OF YOU'
The guard almost died. Thankfully, the test subject is fine.
Day 82
What. I'm in disbelief. We executed the test subject... But he lived? Then we killed him again. Then he came back up!? How!? This.. What? We ended up just trapping back in a cell again.
Day 83
We decided to kill a random test subject, one with an ego. It first tried to resist but a swift stab to the skull ended it's life. We left the spear inside it's head for 10 minutes, and it didn't come back to life. Then as soon as we pulled it out of it's head, we jumped at the guard. However, multiple people were watching and stopped the test subject before it could kill. This was completely stupefying everyone. Things needed to change. This meant that our test subjects are potentially immortal.
Day 84
Someone died. We are commencing the Ego Wipe operation tomorrow.
We discovered something grave about these... 'Immortals'.. they have skills! How? However, they were really weak. It's just a test subject snuck up on a guard beating another test subject for not eating. The attacker used some sort of dart and shot it into a vital part of the guards neck. Then he turned green and died. We're now on high alert. We completely locked down the building. We decided to erase the attackers ego completely and burnt his body. For some strange reason, the body burned away. Perhaps the skill was tied to ego? We would've liked an Immortal Hero. That would be something. We could probably skill extract tomorrow when we do the Ego Wipe operation .
Day 85
Holy shit. That went terribly wrong. I'm frantically writing this as I'm locked in a tiny janitor room with 2 other mages. What the fuck do I do!? What the actual fuck happened?!
I still can't believe it but... A01 had escaped our facility. Apparently another test subject had a teleportation skill which leveled up! A teleportation skill! How!? They're so rare, how can a test subject own one!? And yet, it even levels up!? It teleported both of them outside the facility where A01 escaped but the teleporter was caught and was ego erased. Then we cut off there head and hanged it in the main hall as a warning to the other test subjects. But instead of making them scared, it made them enraged. Then something unbelievable happened.
It wasn't the test subjects, it wasn't some greedy kingdom... It was the Void Contract! I don't know what written in there, but it allowed the Void creatures to descend upon Avalon! But only in our location! ONLY!
All the test subjects escaped, well, not all. Some are still inside the facility. Hunting for us. The Void Contract has caused void creatures to hunt for us. If they kill us all, they get to roam the mortal world for free! With the combined forces of the Demon King and Void King, the entire world is screwed! The only other way to escape would be through the Cosmos, but the mana is too thick for lower beings to survive. Even I can't breathe there!
To think this all started with A01 and that damned teleporter. Our first of firsts.. the first to grow an ego, the first to digest [Transcendent Mana], and the first to escape.
Wait, I'll be right back.
Day 86(?)
I'm not actually sure what day it is. We've spent a lot running away from void creatures and former test subjects. Some backup from our organization came. However, not a lot will come. Our project was so secret that only 10% of our organization actually knew. They didn't know the Guardian Snake was for, and our men from the north didn't even know where they were delivering the vials of blood to and what they were for.
We're actually screwed. Though, maybe not for long. Those stupid fucking junior diplomats from before who screwed up the contract told us that they looked through it again and they found the "Void Page" which was hidden away and it said the real details. The only thing that mattered though was that if they couldn't kill all of the people affiliated with the contract, which meant the top 10% of our organization, then they had to return to the Void Realm. They had to kill us within 30 days. So I just have to continue to running.
Day 89(???)
I've been hiding in the sewers chewing on some rotten bread. My companions are all dead. They actually died from the very own test subjects instead of the void creatures. Funny. I guess the Hero Project is over... I'm feeling very empty right now...
Day ???
I don't know how long it's been, but the junior diplomats lied again. Even if I survive for 30 days, I won't live for much longer. I've been afflicted with many Void Poisons so I'm basically a goner. However, the thing the junior diplomats lied about, though I guess they just didn't mention it, was that our souls are also brought to the Void Realm. Can you believe that? The end of us all were the junior diplomats. I guess they didn't tell us about the last clause because they wanted us to survive till the end. To push the Void Creatures back to the Void Realm. "Honorable." I think the 30 days are almost up. If anybody reads this, know that we created those immortals.
The fact that they escaped, means big impacts for the world. Our greatest killing machine, the "Hero".
----------------------------------------
Isaac closed the old journal. He thought that they must've done some terrible things. He looks to the ruined mountain corrupted with purple residue everywhere. The Void Creatures were sent back. And so was the author of this journal.
Isaac smiled, and silently thanked the mage for helping create him.
"Status"

It is 2x stronger and faster than a regular fireball. Casting speed is 1.5x more faster.
Isaac wondered if the people from the organization would've ever predicted this. He smiled again and started walking away from the ruined mountain. Isaac was one of the hunters who hunted down the personnel during the void chaos. Other Immortalians had long left. Some went very far away. It didn't seem like they liked to be beside each other.
It was only a matter of time before other beings see them and take interest. When that time came, the world will shake.
