“I don’t understand why your feeling negative about this? Is there something you want to talk about?”
. . .
“It’s just that..I have some doubts about this invasion plan that Druella has planned out for the new world..”
. . .
“Why would you say that? This is Druella! The Fourth Princess of the Mamono Realm! The one who put an end to The Order and was able to bring harmony between the Humans and the Mamonos!”
. . .
“Am not doubting her leadership for this invasion Daniella..it’s just..about the rumors I’ve heard about..”
. . .
“Mmm? What rumors?”
. . .
“You know..as the witches are switching rows for the grand invasion and for the first wave to invade..I’ve heard that..they felt something..off about that world, like it feels..dead.”
. . .
“Oh don’t be ridiculous Jamey! They are just tired is all, whatever they say is probably just pure nonsense!
. . .
“Well yes bu-“
. . .
“It’s been centuries sense this world has been freed by the clutches of the Chief God and every human out there have been turned into a Incubus or monsterized to one of us! And plus, last I heard from many of the Dark Knights is that this world is almost like ours, but get this! They don’t have any capable means to produce magic in the slightest! They are entirely defenseless against us!
. . .
“W-well Druella did check that world some centuries ago..we don’t know if they could have become more advance tha-“
. . .
“Advance?! Hah!~ The only way they could have possibly advance is with magic as it’s a necessity! And even if they had advance they’ll all fall attractive into our precious bodies!~”
. . .
“That’s..way overly optimistic of you Daniella, like sure, the invasion might not be most difficult that we can’t handle..but that doesn’t mean it’ll be the easiest task in the world.”
. . .
“Ugh..if this is about you being un-“
. . .
“No it’s not the part where of the rumors, but because it’s in general Daniella. Not everything is so simple in life”
. . .
“Tsk~ What makes you say that?~ Is it because your nervous getting a husband?~
. . .
“No because unlike you I at least don’t think about a dick every hour like an idiot and has a carrot to suck on when lonely”

When Cece Sasha joined to be apart of the first wave of the invasion of this new world, where the invasion was blessed by the Fallen God and Hel themselves to conquer this world to free itself from its chains of the cycle violence and despair that humanity has fallen into. She had imagined it that this world would quite appear absolutely similar to hers.
The first wave to this new world was rather simple, it had two options, it was either gather any information of this new world and to study the people of any weakness of any kind so they could take advantage of that which was the most favorable approach. And the second? It was the most obvious and most favorite option amongst the mamonos but except her.
To soften up the lands of this world, which meant that they would get a taste of human males, future husbands essentially, the first and official of their kind to appear in part of the liberation of this world.
It was what Cece was looking forward to before she entered through the magical mirror that connected through the main portal. And what was explained to her was that she would be either transported to a populated city or a unpopulated village. But that was for regular Mamonos, ones with unique properties, for example Both options were great to her opinion as it would mean she would gather intelligence on where she was, and what to plan on for the second phase.
But once she landed upon on top of a concrete building what she was greeted by..a very dark night.
She was initially confused by this greeting to this new world as a Dhampir, while considered to be half human and half vampire, she still had enhanced vision that would help her during the night and it would eventually help gather information and an eventual husband but..it felt like her vision was retorted to nothing more than human vision as..it was dark to the likes she ever seen. It was like someone was tampering with her vision which shouldn’t be possible as she couldn’t sense any mana of any kind. Unless someone was also tampering with her senses as well.
She then looked up at the sky and from what her vision could see, the night sky was blocked out from dark grey clouds, which come to think of it, and seemed that any direction her eyes laid upon..the sky remained blocked no matter the distance.
But of course this confused Cece as she could vividly remember that Druella had told them all that this world was quite similar to their own, but with the sky being clouded that appeared to be pure darkness, said completely otherwise what the fourth princess have said to them all.
When her gaze returner down below, she viewed down onto the city itself, whom at first glance? It looked to be in horrible condition and the people? They all appeared in clothing to which was nothing more than strange attires to her, they all almost had similar clothing as some looked different from one another.
To which she then took account of how many people were active during at this time, if she was correct and judging by how dark it was despite the clouds covering the sky, it was in the middle of the night. Which didn’t explain the number of people being out in the city, was it possible that they’ve lost track of what time it was? Or was it that they have vastly different sleeping hours, or maybe..because they didn’t feel tired at all.
But before she could observe the humans down below from the building, a gush of wind flew into her and she shivered as she quickly went to warm herself, that gush of wind was just..unnormally cold for no reason as the atmosphere around her was fresh. But it also gave her an unnatural taste.
A disgusting metallic taste that almost made her want to puke it out but almost held it in, but she made a decision to go inside a building and get shelter before morning arrived as she couldn’t handle standing up there as her clothes didn’t keep her warm in this environment.
She then quietly as she could jumped from building to building until she stumbled upon a seemly old abandoned building and climbed through the window..which just felt too easy in her opinion and unsettling for some apparent reason as she vision went through the building. And the first site she saw? She saw the floor, the walls and the ceiling to be dirtied of decay, there were desks around the place with items she isn’t familiar with, and while there were pieces of papers on the said desks. Cece then went to the desk and picked up one of the pieces of paper and began to read. Too which she couldn’t understand a single thing.
She couldn’t understand a single word as apparently this was written in a different tongue, which she made a mental note to make sure to get over this problem as soon as possible for the future, as this world or this section of the world, apparently spoke a completely different language than the one back home. She then laid the piece of paper down and looked towards the front of the wall where all the desks were pointed at and something caught her interest.
What caught her interest was five things, those four things included two small portraits that laid on the very top of the wall, there also laid some form of poster of some kind, then there was a three lined flag attached to the last last thing that laid proudly in the wall, it a map.
Cece moved quickly to see the map up close, and the first thing she quickly note of? This map looked in much better condition than most of the rest of the objects in the room, hell it could be described the map looked brand new along side with the two portraits.
And when she viewed the map, she took note that it looked vastly different than she would’ve ever imagined it, the map had a singular ocean in the left that would spread itself in the landmass that almost appeared to have multiple islands surrounding it, and two of them were massive as it was just a cling away from the rest of this mainland. She also took notice that in some areas of the map were seemly cut off when it reach the edge of the map, did it mean that this was merely a section of this world?
It also didn’t go unnoticed that there were multiple light black lines across the map as there were a multitude of them. So the first thought to Cece was that this meant the amount of countries in this landmass? But another confusing thing she took note that some sections were completely blacked out, as one in the south west were instead of it being laid in some color. There was a big rectangle shaped line that went west downward that simply said “Bürgerkriegslinie” and it quite similar for the aforementioned two islands as there were multiple black spots who were either connected or separated who were simply called “Zusammengebrochene Autorität”. And it also included the southern portion of some land that looked like a foot of sorts.
She simply pouted at this, it was quite already frustrating that she couldn’t understand a single word in this map. Apart of the upper center of the map whose nation was in a dark greyed scheme along side with it being surrounded by other grey nations? The only word she could somewhat understand into her own language was that of “Vaterland” whom she assumed was..fatherland? What kind of name was that for a nation? Did it mean anything?
She felt like she was getting a headache the longer she looked at the map, as one look at what borders the “Militärkommissar Polens” as the nation in question had a blood red color under the name “Großer Sowjetstaat Eurasien” whom almost encompassed the entirety of the eastern landmass as it reaches up to “Sami-Stämme” and to the bottom to “Ungarischer Staat” and “Volksrepublik Jugoslawien”.
Just the name “Großer Sowjetstaat Eurasien” felt wrong in some strange way, and seeing how it just was the entirety of the eastern section of the map and seeing how it got cut off, she then began to question something. ‘How big was this Eurasien nation is..?’.
Deciding to save her head from getting an headache any further, she then simply looked to the side abit to see the poster and, while the style of the poster was odd, she didn’t understand what it was trying to mean.
What the poster showed was a man that appeared to be this nations knight although weirdly dressed, it’s entire atire didn’t fit that of a knight and it wore some strange clothing that was grey with multiple gadgets of some kind, the man’s face was completely covered by some armored face whos eyes were glowing bright right, who also had a strange helmet with what appeared to be two lighting bolts just slightly connected to one another, and it was holding some what appeared to be metal parts jointed together and pointing it towards…a red colored hammer and sickle..? Which appeared to be cracked?
And of course the poster had words on it, it just she couldn’t understand it once more. “Verteidigt das Vaterland! Verteidige das Vaterland vor der korrupten Ideologie des utopischen Kommunismus! Verteidigt das Vaterland! , Zerstöre den Kommunismus, um Deutschland zu retten!”
She mentally shrugged as it was clear that someone probably made this as a gift of appreciation or sorts, and she made it to remind herself to berate this artist in the future for not even including the man’s face, it was practically an insult to her.
The flag was next that caught her attention, it looked..both simplistic yet odd at the same time. The flag consisted of three horizontal stripes, black was on the top, white on the middle, and red at the bottom. It also included a symbol in the middle that almost represented a cross with four arms of equal length which was colored black.
Did she know what did either the colors and the symbol means? Not a chance, all she can assume from this flag is..nothing at all.
Moving her sight to the two small portraits, there were a clear distinction between the two men in the portrait, one appeared to be completely bald as there was only air to the sides of he’s head. The other man wore a cap that had to what appeared to be a eagle and some unknown symbol in the cap. Both looked old, most likely in their 70s at best, they also wore also wore some form of stylish uniform, were these the monarchs? Why would there be two portraits? We’re they sharing power in some weird form?
And while she would’ve fantasize about meeting and making one of them her husband, with obviously fixing some parts, one with their old age and one of them being bald. Their..expressions was what immediately turned her down, instead a smile, like she had expected as monarchs would want a positive image of themselves, these two..had a expression of completely neutral or even stoic, she could even hint some kind of hate coming from the one with the cap.
That’s when she noticed that they also had names on the small portraits, she squinted her eyes and saw the bald man’s name. ‘Hans Speidel’, she saw the one with the cap. ‘Otto Ernst Remer’.
While she didn’t know where they were, but she knows that in due time, Druella will find where Speidel and Remer are located, the two will tell everything they know, then soon their frowned looks will be replaced by-
Her inner thoughts were so then suddenly interrupted when she heard loud footsteps walking across the wooden floor, but she then quickly took note that it wasn’t one pair of footsteps, it was two, and judging by the sound of the steps, they were coming up the stairs.
She instantly looked for some place to hide, it didn’t help that there wasn’t any option available as it just a bunch of desks, there wasn’t even a cabinet. But hearing the footsteps now being in the floor and almost seemly approaching this room, she immediately dashed towards under the desk that was one of the ones that had the bottom completely cover.
The footsteps now had reached the room with their boots still being heavy each time it took a step on the floor. One of the footsteps stopped while the other kept going as it stopped near one of the desks but not quite near her’s. She then heard them speak in a foreign language quite similar to what she had seen so far.
“Ich verstehe nicht, warum du paranoid bist, Gebundenemann” She heard someone with a gruff and covered voice first spoke. Did he had something covering he’s mouth, was it a bandana? And judging from where it was spoken, he was probably near the door.
There was an audible sigh coming from inside “Ich bin nicht paranoid” He said while still going through some pieces of paper. “Ich mache mir einfach Sorgen über die aktuelle Situation zwischen unseren beiden Generälen. Sigismund” Which like he simply stated something.
“Bist du immer noch dabei? Um Himmels willen Gebundenemann, das könnte entweder kommunistische oder mcarthuristische Propaganda sein.” The muffled man simply exclaimed.
“Makarthuristische Propaganda? Wirklich?” The man simply said and judging by the tone of the voice, it sounded like he was in disbelief.
“Was? Sie können nicht ganz glauben, dass ihre Absicht darin besteht, freundschaftliche Beziehungen zu uns zu pflegen, oder?” He said in a questioning tone.
“Nun, ich kann mit Sicherheit sagen, dass ich lieber mit einem Soldaten aus Nordamerika fotografieren würde als mit einem von den Sturmtruppen” Which sounded in a matter of fact.
There was light scoff coming from the muffled man. “Das ist unglaublich, aber so oder so, wonach suchen Sie?”
“Äh, es ist nur ein Foto, das ich suche.” The man near her simply said.
There was once more a sigh coming from the muffled man as the footsteps from him then began as he walked away as the shuffling kept on going.
Cece now deciding to take a peak at the now sole occupant in the room, she slowly moved her head towards the direction of where the paper were shuffling. And she took her time to look around as she strangely couldn’t sense him yet, but then her eyes then laid them directly at the man, making her take a good look on who it was.
The man in question appeared to be in he’s late 20s or early 30s if he’s was face was to tell as it also included a rough mustache, He wore some form of cap that embedded some kind of mark on front it, kinda like the one of the portrait of Remer but with a different cap. Cece also saw that he’s uniform was tainted in a light grey color who had many pockets and she also saw that he had something attached to he’s belt, as she expected it to be a sword, it was instead some holster that carried a lump of metal?
But redirecting her attention towards the man’s face once more, her mind began to fantasize about him, her heart began to heat up at the thought of him becoming her husband, the way he’s face was..it was just perfect, it was wonderfully perfect for Cece, and the eyes-..
. . .
. . .
…He’s eyes..
They looked completely blank, lifeless even.
Her mind went back into reality within an instant as she steady reexamined the man, as he’s eyes looked completely dead from the inside, she couldn’t sense him at all. This bewildered her as that was impossible, she was looking straight at him, she should be able to sense he’s mana-…
She couldn’t sense it either, she couldn’t sense the man’s Mana which meant..he was completely manaless. This couldn’t be, while she has heard previously before her venture into this world that the humans here didn’t have discovered magic or might be able to cast magic but..she didn’t think that they’d be completely manaless!
Another question then fueled her already confused state, how was he walking around and moving without any mana? Because as far as her studies has been was that Incubus and Mamonos required Mana to live, because without they would die. And yet, this juman was a prime example of a manaless being that was still alive. Was it possible that humans at one point were completely manaless?
She then realized the shuffling of the papers has stopped and the man had a grim expression on he’s face as he looked into..what appeared to be a piece of paper? Of course she didn’t understand the importance of it but whatever it was, it was clearly sentimental as he then carefully folded it and placed it on its front pocket.
He then simply sighed before rubbing he’s face with he’s right hand before eventually turning around and seemly heading towards the doorway to make he’s exit.
As the man got out of her sight, she couldn’t help but also feel a sense of sadness coming from the man, and judging by the face alone, he must have been through a lot to have an expression like that. And now, she couldn’t explain it, she needed to fix that properly.
Without a hint of hesitation, she leaped out from the bottom of the desk and immediately rushed towards the unprepared man whom when he heard the rushing footsteps he then placed he’s hand on the piece of metal on he’s holster and attempted to turn around but he was too late.
“Wa-“ He attempted to say before Cece did her act, she immediately grabbed a hold onto him by pulling him toward her and then she revealed her fangs to which they sank immediately into the throat of her will be soon husband.
As her fangs made contact into the man’s neck and deepened into the skin, Cece would’ve have imagined it as a delightful experience, one where it would mark the beginning of their relationship and eventual love.
But instead of that outcome, it something else as the taste didn’t come not even thirty seconds later and when she received the taste, it was…
. . .
. . .
…It was revolting.
In reaction she then moved to remove her fangs from the man’s neck and covered her mouth with her hands as her fangs began to hurt, it was like her fangs sank into a rotten garlic, it was distasteful, horrendous even. It felt like she wanted to throw up but kept her composure. She then felt something warm in mouth that soon connected to her hands to which she removed her hands from her mouth and she found..blood?
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
She then heard a the man’s body then collapse to the ground including a loud thunderous sound to almost made her ears ring violently. She turned to the man her eyes widen at complete shock.
The man who she had bitten was now on the ground squirming as both he’s hands were on the wound on he’s neck as he made gurgling sounds as blood began to leak out of he’s neck and he’s mouth. Cece froze completely still when she saw this, her eyes began to water as she didn’t mean to do this at all.
She was only attempting to pleasure him, she never had the intention to harm him in any way, the fangs were meant to fill him with joy and lust, not..cause him to bleed.
But her stasis was cut short as Cece heard footsteps were stomping all the way towards this room and she heard the muffled man yelling. “Gebundenemann?! Was ist passiert?!”
Her instincts then suddenly kicked in, she needed to leave, and the only way was to go through the doorway and knock the man off balance and run down the stairs as fast as she could. The window wasn’t an option as it was too far away and the man might caught her by then. And judging by the tone of voice of the incoming occupant? Her capture would not be a pretty one.
She then rush her way towards the doorway to which she collided toward the man with the muffled voice. Cece acted quickly before the man could react and threw her into the room where she had regrettably harmed the man and immediately close the door right after, Cece then set her sights on the stairs to which she began to quickly began to descend down the stairs before the Dhampir heard the man she threw into the man yell out of the top of lungs in complete rage.
“Eindringling! Wir haben einen Eindringling!”
By this new development, her pace quicken as she began to take twice the steps as she went down the stairs until she reached the final sets of stairs that’ll most likely lead to the outside, but one simple misstep on the stairs caused her to fall down the stairs until she reached the bottom.
Slightly dazed from the blunt damage in the head from the slight misstep on the stairs but she heard a door open and a loud pair of footsteps storming the sta- It wasn’t one pair, it was multiple pairs. In fact she heard some coming from the door she was infront of.
It felt like the entire building was activated all of a sudden, it was like it was a dens nest that had its occupants resting, but by her desire of wanting that man to be her husband, she had awaken every single person on the building.
Acting quickly, she got back to her feet and looked towards the nearest doorway that didn’t have any footsteps emitting from and she spotted one in the right and so she ran towards that direction.
As she ran into the room to which it strangely had a whole bunch of clothes either piled up in the corner or in floor scattered, she immediately heard footsteps from a closed metal door, but unlike the other footsteps that were light, these were heavy stomps and they were fast approaching just like the others.
Her eyes then laid upon another door who had nothing emitting from it and she quickly took a glance on some bold writing on it. ‘Nur Sturmtruppen’. Which meant a short meaning to some kind of basement or to the sewers right?
Suddenly hearing the front doors of the building opening and the footsteps on the stairs closing in, she heard some yell in their language at her. “Dort! Schnapp dir diesen Hurensohn!” She immediately went to the door and opened it went inside and turned back to quickly close it and lock it, Cece got a good glance on one of males who on pursuit after her and..the only thing she saw on the man’s face was pure distain and hatred.
She then suddenly heard the closed door then get kicked open and the only glimpse she got was a armored leg sticking out from the doorway but she then soon closed the door and she made a quick look the door she closed and Cece saw a key on the lock to which she quickly placed her hand on the key and turned it to which she heard a click, indicating she had locked it.
Before she could’ve taken a breather, there a frantic turning on the knob before instantly followed by hard knocks before a voice came in. “Öffne die Tür.”
If she had to describe on how the voice sounded like, then the thing she could say that the voice sounded completely disconnected to emotion as it sounded completely calm, but not like she could sink on that thought any longer.
A kick was heard emitting from the door and in response Cece jumped as in a instant reaction as she almost lost her footing once more. The almost immediate realization made her start to go the steps fast as these men were now tearing down the door by brute force.
Each step she made on the stairs felt like there was an equal response on the door as it felt like the kicks were accelerating in response to her descent downward.
She was too focused on getting away from the men after her, that she hadn’t noticed the increasing foul stench that was becoming more unbearable the more she stepped into the basement, but another thing motivating her was that when she turned a bend, she saw light, which meant that it a basement and when she got there, she would find a mirror to tail gate out of the place she found herself in or enter the sewer system in there.
As she reached the final steps of the stairs, Cece looked up at the basement floor she had entered and her body completely freezed when her eyes laid upon the room.
Her eyes began to widen and her pupil’s began to shrink as her body began to shake violently as tears began to fall from her eyes as her blood ran completely cold.
At first she was silent, then followed a blood curling scream.
What Cece’s eyes saw within the room before her has swepted away any innocence she had in her mind with complete terror, she couldn’t describe it, she simply couldn’t, her mind couldn’t register properly on what she was seeing, but she knew exactly what she was looking.
Her mind being so devastated by the view of the basement that she didn’t even hear the loud clanking stomps of footsteps coming from the stairs.
She didn’t even acknowledge that they were now directly behind her before she was hit in the back of her by something heavy and was blatantly metallic.
Cece fell on the floor as her voice was now completely gone as her throat felt like there was now being blocked before she was lifted up by a gloved hand directly in the throat.
As she began to slowly choked at the immense force of the hand, what she was able to see next was not what she wanted to see at all.
The man holding her by the throat with only a single hand was incredibly armored to the point where any points of exposed skin was not seen in the slightest, it’s mouth was closed off with some kind of weird mechanism mask with two weird looking circles with holes on them and the man’s helmet was equally weirdly shaped helmet with two lighting bolts attached to it which included them penetrating a skull.
But the one thing she focused on the most was it’s eyes, it’s eyes glowing bright blood red as if she was a simple prey to this predator, the man’s glowing red eyes were in a complete show of aura surrounding him as of the personification of death itself.
The last thing she was able to see before her vision blacked out, was that the mask some forming into a creepy smile almost her imagination purposely made the mask smile, she then heard the man speak her in a cold but stoic tone.

Within the confinements of a building within the D.C area lies Captain Gordon Denton, who is simply awaiting in a lone room with a Tv blasting news out of its speakers as he sat in a chair with he’s hands gripping onto the Newspaper, even if the paper he hold was the same it was a few days ago, the first few words were always the same.
“US-SOVIET COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN, BERIA REMAINS SILENT”
He growled as he folded the newspaper to the side as he didn’t need to read the rest to figure out what led to this god forsaken breakdown.
Lavrentiy Beria, The leader of the Soviet Union ever sense 1953, after the bastard Joseph Stalin died due to either having an heart attack or having a stroke, he didn’t remember how he died but a dead communist was a good communist.
But that fucker Beria was nothing more than a complete warmonger and he’s actions ever sense he’s ascendance to the primer has showed it.
Aggression on Turkish territory.
Threatening on invading the Western portion of West Berlin.
Disturbing Waters on Occupied Japan after the Communists won in Korea. Alongside with the Chinese also threatening the newly annex territory of Taiwan after overthrowing the corrupt Military Dictatorship that caused the so much suffering toward Taiwanese civilians.
And now with the Cuban Communists who are now in procession of the newly acquired nukes from the Soviets. Many of which are the most recent created Tsar Bomba who is considered to be the most destructive nuke the Soviets have in their arsenal.
To which another factor was that the Soviets have massed produced the damn bomb multiple times, while the US had no leads on how many to be exact, it was a big estimate that it would be world ending. Which was enough to cause an atmosphere that was of fear and panic within the US government. Fear and Panic that easily could’ve been avoided if the fucking British and French government had bothered to check their waters to prevent this occasion when Kennedy had asked them to.
The mighty United Kingdom and French Fourth Republic. One led by a English Imperial Opportunist Prime Minister Enoch Powell and French under a Military Dictatorship after the previous government collapsed due to social unrest to a whole list of reasons that he hasn’t remember but if he had to guess, it had to to do with hard purges against any left winged politician to Soviet sympathizers.
The two nations were nothing more than a prime example of European colonialism as they made it their complete duty to hold on onto their colonies to whatever deems necessary. Which, just by saying that it means that it hasn’t gone by the books for them. Especially after their botched attempted of capturing the Suez Canal and subdoing Egypt in the process. And their eventual expulsion from NATO which led to their dissolution of the alliance.
Before the Suez Canal Crisis even began, relations between the US and the two Europeans powers was always tense at best, as the US never say eye to eye with the policies that the two European powers had, wether it was making West Germany into a second Weimar Republic, threatening to invade Falangist Spain multiple for a large amounts of French collaborators seeking refuge in said state and Spain refusing to send them to the French. And lastly, the American lack of commitment in the European theater World War 2.
When Pearl Harbor was surprised attacked by the Japanese Empire in the early week of December 1941, the President Joseph P. Kennedy formally declared war on the Japanese Empire and its Allies in the pacific, and only in the pacific as to Kennedy it wasn’t in the American interest nor to sacrifice their soldiers to a foreign conflict that doesn’t threatened American sovereignty.
And so, the entire bull work of the American industry and soldiers were entirely focused on crushing the Japanese in the pacific and Asia while leaving the British Empire and the Soviets to fend for themselves against Himmlers Germany. No matter how many times did Churchill plead or request for American assistance, the US simply didn’t acknowledge it as wasn’t a priority as much as the Japanese.
The American intervention into the European theater only came in September 5th 1945 after the Japanese Cities of Hiroshima, Kokura, Nagasaki, Kyoto, Osaka, Niigata were completely obliterated from J. Robert Oppenheimer Nuclear bombs, that’s when the US turned its attention to Europe, under President Harry S. Truman.
The World War officially ended with a Hanover and Nuremberg being wiped completely from the map and the Wehrmacht lead by Hans Speidel, couped the Nazi’s who then unconditional surrendered. Finally marking the end of World War 2 and sparking the beginning of a new war of a different kind with the Soviets.
But even with the Soviets being the much bigger threat than the two of them, the British and French had apparently made it their only set priority for their colonies instead against the fight against communism.
If the utter failure of the Korean War was anything to indicate, the Cold War wasn’t going with the US’s favor, and the European Duals wasn’t helping them in the slightest, to which bring some level of comfort that the British and French were kicked out of NATO because he could only think that instead the two being ready to sending their troops to the meat grinder in Africa to preserve their colonies and getting caught off guard when the Soviets cause a sudden invasion into their lands and getting overran. Especially towards the British, if Operational Sea Lion was anything to go by, even if the Operation was short sighted and it had catastrophic results for the Germans, it showed that the British Isles weren’t as hard to invade to which the British had led to thought everyone.
And the current status of their colonies world wide? It was a estimate to show that the two European powers were already losing control over their colonial possessions. The countryside of their African colonies were a constant state of social unrest that the only cities that didn’t experience any violence were a very select few. Indochina was nothing more than a absolute hellhole for the French as they had to struggle against Ho Chi Minh’s forces as it shown that to the French leaving the colony to focus on Algeria as while it’s the only one they have some control. And for the British?
Well the only thing Gordon heard that it was in a similar state to that of France but somewhat more stable, except for their “most prized colony”. The last he heard of the British Raj was that 90% wasn’t even in British control as it’s either in complete anarchy, under local warlords or in control of the Indian National Congress. Who knew that executing Gandhi was a terrible idea.
He would’ve kept thinking about the absolute mess that the two European powers were if they weren’t knocked to the side as the door suddenly opened to reveal a presiding officer in the other side. Captain Denton simply sighed before standing up while straightening himself up and saluting at the officer to whom he did it like wise.
The Officer the spoke up to him. “Captain Gordon Denton, your court marshal trail is postponed until further notice, you are to return to your unit in Okinawa immediately.” He said as he turned around to leave.
. . .
. . .
. . .
“What?”
Denton blurted it out with a snarled which immediately caught the attention of the presiding officer whom then again turned with an eyebrow raised and tired look. “You seem, disappointed?” He said with a questioning look.
“Disappointed?” Denton said trying to clarify what the officer told him. “I am far from fucking disappointed, I was ordered to move here for a designated court marshal trial for a reason I don’t understand and only to wait 9 days to be told to fuck off?” He claimed angrily.
The presiding officer only looked at the captain as he was utterly baffled at what he just heard. And before Captain could utter another word, the officer spoke first with a stern tone. “Your on thin ice Gordon”.
Gordon only looked at him with visibly confusion and frustration on he’s eyes, the officer then sighed and continued. “The reason why you were here to be court marshaled was due to you not following direct orders from Colonel Lewin after he told you to stand down after your company fired upon Japanese protesters.” He said with slight irritation on the end of he’s sentence.
“My men didn’t fire upon those Nips for all fun and games.” Gordon simply retorted. “One of those nips shot one of my men on the ground, and as far as my men told me, the nips helped that murderer escape, so as far as I was considered, the Nips were assisting on assassinating troops stationed. So what I did was justified.”
“One Japanese shooter didn’t mean you have the confirmation to shoot up protesters in the vicinity” The officer said with he’s cool beginning to fall off. “Your company was responsible for the death of over 45 civilians with countless more being injured in the hundreds. Some whom were in their homes not being apart of the protest until you ordered your soldiers to barge into apartment homes and dragged them out for beating or execution! If Brigadier General Tibbet’s haven’t ordered you to stand down and you kept on this rampage, then you would’ve been executed for inciting genocide against the Japanese population!”
Denton simply glared at the officer before him as he did the same back at him as began to continue abit with some of its cool returned. “The fact that your in a rank of a captain after all the grotesque things you have done in your military career not only astounds me but it utterly baffled me that you were able to get to the rank of Captain.”.
Gordon knew what the officer was referring to and he could tell that this officer in particular must’ve done he’s homework on him just so he can get a better idea on who Gordon Denton was, and judging by the expression and the comment he made, it didn’t particularly paint him in a good light.
The presiding officer then simply sighed before speaking once more. “But, recalling all of that. The reason why your court marshal trail is being postponed until further notice is that the Military Chain of command and Brigadier General Tibbet’s is willing to sweep this incident under the rug. However, with the pretense that you will control your temper and will be approaching problems with a softer approach.” The officer simply said.
Denton didn’t say anything as he stood in complete silence, he’s gaze was only hardened and the officer show it, he clearly wasn’t happy about it, but seeing he’s track record, it’s most likely that he’ll stick to it, he may be a reckless captain, but he was a loyal follower.
The officer then turned around when Denton lowered he’s gaze toward the floor, he walked towards the door before looking once more at the Captain. “Remember, you been stuck in that rank for the past 20 years, this is your last official warning, your on thin ice as it is, so don’t fuck it up.” He said before closing the door behind him.
The captain remained still as he begin to ingest all of the information that he was given by the presiding officer, and he didn’t like it one bit.
Go soft? Is that what the presiding officer really told him to do? Approach with a softer tone. That might has well be just handing over their guns and just hoping for the best that they won’t have a change of heart and shoot them in the backs.
The 40 year old Captain hands then balled into fists as they bang to shake. And the warning? The Military Chain of command could shove it up their ass for all he cared, he wasn’t going to let the joke of the Geneva Convention, they cou-. . .
. . .
. . .God damnit.
He then unballed he’s fists and proceeded to rest he’s hands on the chair’s shoulders and sighed in slight frustration. He didn’t like it, It’s like he’s dealing with a bunch of idiots who thought that gaining the hearts of the people was the best solution. And he was once in belief of this, but the occupation of Japan showed other wise to this theory.
He never liked the Japanese, not in the slightest. The Pacific front and he’s duty of being part of keeping the peace in the further occupation of Japan was a testament to that, they were like wild animals who once believed they were the conquerers of Asia who were destined to be rulers of the continent, to now being a bunch of rats who’s island are now exposed by the Communists who now almost rule all of East Asia with the US only there to defend them. Bunch of ungrateful pieces of shit.
But he just couldn’t understand why. Why was he so insistent on going soft? He wasn’t there to experience the unrelenting banzai charges in the Battle of Iwo Jima, He wasn’t there to hellish experience in the Battle of Okinawa, he wasn’t there to experience how it felt to be at the mercy of such horrid animals when they butchered and ate he’s Squad right infront of him,he wasn’t there to have victory taken away by a bunch of Chinese scum, he wasn’t there to and he wasn’t there to feel the retreat from Busan to leave the Korean Peninsula in complete communist control, and he wasn’t there to experience the hellish occupation of the damn islands.
He wasn’t there at all.
He then promptly shook as he gripped on tighter on the chair’s shoulder before taking a few calming breaths did he firmly stood up as he looked at the clock slowly as its ticks continued on.
He swore, being soft and acting to care will be the downfall of this god forsaken nation if it continues its deeds.
He momentarily closed he’s eyes deep in thought before opening them once more to him raising an eyebrow in confusion.
The clock has stopped ticking, and it appeared to be frozen? Come to think it, he couldn’t hear anything. He looked up to the side to see the Tv completely frozen of a news reporter looking down on the table at a piece of paper. Completely Unmoving, almost like a statue.
Gordon then felt, odd. Almost like there was something crawling within he’s skin. He looked around the eirely silent room and he felt like, he was already been here. Multiple times.
That. That didn’t make any sense, he only came into this room 9 days ago, he never once came into this room in he’s lifetime yet. He felt like he was here, this exact same spot, and..the exact same conversation?
But before he could even dwell on that thought, he a loud blaring siren reached he’s eardrums with the siren being loud enough for Denton to cover both he’s ears for the blasting sound to not damage them. It was so loud that it felt that it coming from everywhere at once.
But this siren felt, familiar as well, then he felt some amount of fear creeping up to him. It was like it was trying to warn him of something, something that he couldn’t understand at that very moment.
Then, coming from the windows, there was a sudden blast that shut off the sirens, Denton turned to windows only to be met with a massive shockwave that made him get throw back into the chair breaking it when made contact.
As he was dizzied from the shockwave, he then tasted it, metal. He tasted metal, and just like that. He felt like he froze himself as he only knew one thing.
D.C was gone.
And he felt the wave of death slowly approaching as the temperature in the room began to skyrocket as he felt he’s skin beginning to burn, and as he looked up to the window, he saw the wave of fierier death slowly approaching him, almost in a mocking way as it soon went through the wall that included the windows.
He didn’t close he’s eyes at all as he felt them burn as the wave of flaming death approached him ever so mockly. And when it finally reached him, he’s entire vision went dark.
Location: Liberation State of Korea, Classified
Date: February 25th, 1995
Time: 4:30 am
Gordon eyes shot open immediately upon waking up to a ringing noise. He eyes darted towards the alarm clock, he then moved he’s left hand and promptly shut it off as he laid in he’s chair in slight confusion.
What? How. He could’ve sworn that he just in. . .
. . .
. . .oh.
It happened again. The repeating condition.
The Lieutenant General then slowly placed he’s hands onto he’s forehead to collectivize he’s thoughts and at the remembrance the condition once more.
So far, this condition never came up again for a long time, 10 years at best. And it was slightly worse than last time as it didn’t include the burning of he’s skin. It was like the entire purpose of those “dreams” is just to mock him for surviving the bombs when others didn’t. And each dream had a worse outcome than the last.
But, he knew that he wasn’t the only one who has this condition, a multitude of other Generals who had experienced the nukes has this condition, each different depending who the person, but the condition was always different for them, it was never the same scenario, except for him.
While he had question for this reasoning, he promptly chose to ignore it as he didn’t view it as a good investment of he’s time and effort. But he did know what he had to do when the condition return at least once.
The Denton then reached towards a drawer that was in the side of he’s desk and opened it and reach down inside without looking, he then grabbed something plastic and pull it out while closing the drawer as he looked at what he grabbed.
Unmarked Medication, the only ever medication that anyone from North America gets due to the bombs massively effecting their immune system that their effectively immune from any sorts of virus or bacteria known to man. But this medication helps. Or he hopes so.
Popping it open he then takes a handful much before closing the lid it once more before laying down the empty plastic bottle onto the table before moving he’s gas mask slightly up and he promptly swallowed the pills and putting the gas mask in place.
While he didn’t feel any different at the current moment, he could only hope that it would go away as soon as possible.
But now, work was needed to be done, and he had to remind himself what was suppose to be done today. So he looked upon two pieces of documents and promptly picked up the nearest close to him, and looked at the title of the document.
To whom he immediately placed it down when realizing what it was. He wanted to ball he’s hands into fists, but he kept he’s cool. Yes, he didn’t like what it was told in the document, but that doesn’t mean he won’t follow through like an idiot as it made common sense.
The Military Junta can’t forever bomb China back into the Stone Age, it was practically impossible. And even with he’s dedication to keeping General LeMays legacy alive as much as possible and to keep he’s plan of the subhuman Chinese to return as a backwater society as they destined to be for contributioning to the cause of expanding Utopian Communism. It would only drain on resources against the rebellions in the Military Territories and the inevitable conflict with the Eurasians once more and it was already signed by both General Kennith and General Sanborn. Both respectively in charge of the Military Territory of Nippon and the Military Territory of Taiwan respectively, and both were in charge of keeping the bombing raids as they both station and fuel the aircraft, so he’s say won’t mean jack shit. But at least they have caused massive amounts of damage to the Chinese that they’ll never have a war footing ever again.
Gordon’s eyes was then laid onto another document that was perfectly still on the table. He didn’t quite remember taking a look at it, so the most logically standpoint was to simple read what it was. He then opened the document. What caught he’s attention right away was one singular term.
CODE MUTANTEM
He never once heard of this term once in he’s life. But sensing it was something that only the ones to know are the Military Cabinet or the CIA, he didn’t question it as he knew the Cabinet knew best. As so he continued to read what it had inside.
And the more he read, the more he was both in understanding and both confused. What it said in the document was just what to do when an actual, mutant was discovered, it had procedures, regulations, immediate orders when such an occurrence happens, it was the usually and overall pretty much understandable considering the current circumstances on this world. But he confused of why it sent now, or possibly that it was sent by mistake.
And it has to do with the simple fact that it has been 30 years sense the initial start of nuclear war, and there has never been a report of actual mutants that doesn’t take a form of a human. And even so, why would they give it out just up till now? Did. Something happen back in the continental Americas?
He then closed the document and laid it down onto the table before weighing his options for the moment. But before he could even think for a second, he then received a call from the telephone. He put he’s hand on it and picked it up and placed it on he’s ear. “Speak” He started with a calm but stoic tone.
“Lieutenant General sir” The man on the other side spoke, in a clear Korean accent. “Scientist Soo-Jin Sung has request your presence immediately”
The Lieutenant General rose an highbrow when he this, Soo-Jin was a decorated scientist within the ranks of the Korean State. Her occupation was based on the study of the human body and such, whom she fit perfectly well into studying of the effects of chemical weapons and studying Homo Sapien atomis, who was majority North Americans apart of the Military Junta due to it being ground zero for the large amounts of nukes launched onto the Northern continent of the Americas.
“What’s the situation?” He stated firmly, he didn’t expect much, at most he expected the man in the other side to say they made a breakthrough on the study of the human body or maybe something on chemical weapons. But what was said next made him freeze.
“Sir, it’s related to Code Mutantem, a patrol unit was ambushed by some of them, one is in critical condition.”
