It was Monday morning. Also, the first day of school.
"Cody!"
A voice can be roughly be heard as it tries to call him.
"Cody!"
The voice called once more, enough to give him slight of consciousness.
"Cody!"
The name echoed in the whole house as the voice tried to call him from downstairs. This time the voice got through and it finally woke him.
"What time is it?" Cody asked while wiping both eyes. He then took a look at his clock.
"Sh*t! It's already 9:00 a.m."
He immediately got up, brushed his teeth, changed clothes, and then proceeded downstairs.
"I called you one-too-many times already" said his aunt as she packs everything he needed for school.
"Sorry, but I got to go." he then quickly grabbed his bag, lunch, and snatched a cold bottle of coffee from the fridge.
“W—wait!” yelled his aunt.
“I’ll be home early, I promise!” yelled Cody back as he ran out of the house.

It's already 9:30 a.m. and Cody ran as fast as he could. The emanating heat coming from his chest spread throughout his entire body. Legs aching from the non-stop running, sweat dripping, short breaths, and dry mouth, which he neglected as he tirelessly ran. Bumping onto several people, he never wasted a single second on looking back. His heart was beating so fast, but he couldn't help feel the excitement as he spotted the school from a distance.
He thought to himself that this day will finally give him the chance he was looking for. Another chance for him to change who he once was. He placed his hands on his chest filled with hope and enthusiasm. His eyes shone brightly as he was looking forward to this new day.
At last, he finally reached the school. After a full-blown marathon starting from his home. His destination is right in front of him. You could see the happiness in him as he smiled while looking at the school.

AURORA ACADEMY
Any person three blocks away could read the institution’s name clearly. It stands as a seven-story building, fully painted in white with royal blue stripes.
Cody was thrilled to be there. He felt the excitement rushing in his blood. New faces, atmosphere, and a brand-new journey. He knew and felt that this was a perfect place for him. After admiring the whole establishment, he headed straight to the admission. He took a class slip and asked directions for the classroom he needs to be in.
“Thank God I made it. It’s 9:45 a.m. and just in time for class” said Cody as he walks by the hallway of the school.
While walking, Cody checks the slip. In the slip were the following information: class, adviser, schedule, and the stamped approval that certified that he is indeed enrolled in the institution. Remembering the instructions that had been given to him by the admission, he finds his classroom in the sixth floor.
“Room 608, huh? Here goes nothing.”
He took a deep breath while holding the door handle. Nervously shaking, he opened the door and proceeded in. Rushing in breathless, he searched for the farthest unoccupied seat and there he sat.
Ending up in the right back corner of the room, next to a window, he gazed on the morning clouds.
“A new start.” Cody said to himself
And with a smile, he daydreamt of having new friends and companions.
