Eight centuries since its inception, the Yatto Empire stands as the mightiest dominion beneath the heavens. Its banners stretch across land and sea, from the frostbitten reaches of Narwa to the emerald waves that caress Dartu’s shores.

Once a land of warring lords and fragmented clans, Yatto has been forged into a single great empire, although wicked tongues still name it the Patchwork Kingdom. Each of the seven provinces is a world unto itself, with its own customs, traditions, and even system of governance.

The King Emperor, Sovereign of Yatto and Lord of All Lands Beneath the Moon, rules over this sprawling dominion from his capital, the Azure Throne. He is aided in this by the Five Fingers, a council of the most powerful and distinguished lords.

To the west lies the sworn rival to Yatto, the Quwri Empire. It is a vast continuous land of red deserts and gilded palaces, which has clashed with Yatto for generations. Though peace is often proclaimed, the embers of war rarely grow cold. The borderlands are home to countless skirmishes, uneasy truces, and tales of legend.

Fifteen years past, when the Yatto Empire trembled under the weight of insurrection, salvation came not from within but from across the western seas. The Iron League of Bironia lent their strength to the Emperor’s cause. In exchange for trade privileges and political footholds, their ironclad legions helped crush the rebel forces with ruthless efficiency.

Bironia's alliance, though born of necessity, carried a cost beyond coin and treaties. Its influence seeped into the empire’s courts and councils. Even now, the Iron League's foreign customs and fervent devotion to the Broken God stir unease.
