Antiques

Lanaery's taste buds were going through a series of flavor explosions she had never experienced before.

She was completely sure that even the most delicious dish in Sacred Origin lost out to this food called a hamburger!

"Hehe, I told you it would be delicious."

Rose smiled proudly as if she was the one who made the burger.

"...You're right. This is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life!"

It wasn't just empty words. Lanaery just realized something really incredible. Her perception of her divine power began to break free!

After the battle against Azther, her divine power was practically gone, her hero heart was almost destroyed, and what was affected the most was her perception of her divine power.

In Sacred Origin, each hero needed to increase the perception of their element if they wanted to keep improving. Whether it's to learn new abilities or increase their realms as heroes!

Somehow or another, this hamburger managed to free her perception of divine power from one of the chains that were created as a punishment for using power beyond what Lanaery could afford.

On Lanaery's head was a beautiful ball of light.

That ball of light was where all the perception of her divine power was gathered. Originally this ball of light should have been moving in another layer of reality where all the elements were in their most primitive form.

Unfortunately, this ball of light was now imprisoned, unable to move due to the countless chains of all colors, which were actually chains made of elements that only appeared when a hero did something that angered the other elements.

For this reason, even with more divine power, she will only be able to use basic abilities until more elemental chains disappear.

Rose, who had finished eating, looked at Lanaery in confusion.

A moment ago, she talked about how that hamburger was the best thing she had ever tasted.

Now she had been silent with her eyes closed for several minutes.

How could Rose not be confused?

Still, she wasn't going to interrupt her thoughts. Who knew if it was something really important and she interrupted Lanaery?

Rose wouldn't be able to look Lanaery in the eye again out of embarrassment.

Finally, after a few more minutes. Lanaery opened her eyes and smiled at Rose.

"Your world has very good things. Even the food of any restaurant can bring so many benefits."

Rose, with question marks on her head, said, "Benefits?"

What kind of benefits can a simple hamburger bring? Rose wanted to tell Lanaery this, but she was afraid of being too disrespectful to her master.

Having already learned how to use this holographic display, Lanaery ordered ten hamburgers!

Even the pretty girl who greeted them both as they entered the restaurant looked at Lanaery's order in surprise. She saw the order because she received a notification on her holographic wristband every time people placed an order.

Rose was also not far behind in her reaction and looked with her delicate purple eyes at Lanaery as if she was getting to know a new facet of her master!

So for this reason, the master remained silent?

She was thinking if she should order more burgers?

These questions that were never going to be answered floated through Rose's mind.

--------------

Thirty minutes later.

Both Lanaery and Rose were in front of a fancy glass-walled shop with many antiques inside the shop that could be easily seen from outside.

In the upper left corner of the store was a sign that read: Antiques Way to Art.

Ting-a-ling!

Although the glass door opened like the other doors in this world, its sound was completely different: as if it were the sound of a small bell.

Lanaery immediately walked over to the nearest antique item.

It was a pair of worn metal gloves with green leaves drawn on the back of each glove.

These gloves were placed inside a small square showcase.

In the lower part of the showcase case, there was a holographic text that said in which rainbow portal these gloves were found, and in front of this text, you could see a 3D image of the landscape of that place.

It was a ruin covered with vines and weeds.

Everywhere you could see marks that a long time ago there was a great battle in that place that ended up destroying everything.

If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Lanaery wanted to touch these gloves to see if they contained divine power, but the showcase prevented her.

"Young lady, are you interested in those gloves?"

Suddenly, a man who appeared to be in his fifties with a look that exudes elegance and class spoke to Lanaery.

Although this man was also stunned for a moment by Lanaery's peerless appearance, he quickly organized his thoughts and entered his businessman mode.

Lanaery, hearing the man call her young lady, didn't bother at all. She understood very well that due to her divine power, her outward appearance was that of a seventeen-year-old, despite her being in her twenty-seventh year.

"You could say I'm interested. But first of all, I'd like to touch them to see if they're good enough to buy."

Lanaery instantly responded by making up an excuse for this elegant man to let her touch the gloves.

"Do you need to touch these gloves?"

The man was silent for a moment until an understanding smile appears on his lips, and he said, "I see you're an antique collector with years of experience, aren't you?"

"Uh... Yeah"

Lanaery just nodded.

"Haha, let's see if these gloves are to your liking."

This man opened the case and passed the gloves to Lanaery with a smile.

Touching the gloves, Lanaery instantly knew that these gloves had no divine power at all.

These changes of mood were reflected in her beautiful face, which the man saw.

"The years of experience can be seen in your eyes. You're right, these gloves are very normal. According to the battle marks of the being who used them, it was not a very good fighter."

"Since these gloves are not to your liking, let me show you the rest of my collection."

"By the way, my name is Jack. It's such an honor to meet someone with such a love of antiques."

"Lanaery..."

Not knowing what was going on, Lanaery just answered automatically and followed Jack to continue touching the rest of the antique items in the store.

Rose, who had been close to Lanaery the whole time, was speechless, seeing what had just happened.

An hour later, at the Antiques Way to Art store.

"My apologies, Miss Lanaery. It seems that none of the products in the store are to your liking."

"I thought that at least that pair of daggers that supposedly hid a great power of the thunder element would be to your liking."

"I never imagined that they were actually fake..."

With an embarrassed looked. Jack looked at the glass showcase where the daggers were.

Only now, this showcase was completely black with a word in red that read, "Fake Product."

Lanaery was also completely disappointed not to find a single antique item with divine power inside of it.

About the daggers Jack mentioned. She simply noted that the thunder effect released by these daggers was just for show; they actually didn't have even a bit of thunder element.

"Master Suries, we just have to try our luck at the other antique shops in town."

She would try to buy all the antique items online from her.

But it would be too expensive, and although she had enough money. She didn't have that much money to buy these antiques with prices up to hundreds of millions of Stars Coins.

"...It only remains to try."

Lanaery nodded understandingly.

Jack listened to the sad conversation between the two girls. He seriously thought about something and said, "Actually, there are some antiques in one of the store's warehouses that are normally reserved for some special customers."

"As a thank you for finding out that pair of daggers were fake, I'll give you an antique at 90% off the antique items I only sell to those special customers."

Lanaery's golden eyes gleamed when she heard that there were still more antiques to be seen in this place.

Jack took them to one of the storage rooms on the fourth floor of the store.

He used his fingerprint and passed his eye on a retinal detector, thus opening the door to this warehouse.

Looking around. Lanaery and Rose were shocked to see antiques that gave off a strong sense of violence, evil, and slaughter.

Just seeing this, Lanaery wondered if there really was something with divine power in this place that seemed to only contain evil.

"I can allow you to touch these antiques. But you have to be careful not to inject your mental energy into them."

Jack warned Lanaery in all sincerity. He recalled the time a very trusting level five Star Master injected his mental energy into a great sword covered in a very terrifying demon fire.

That Star Master turned to ashes so fast that Jack didn't have time to save him.

Of course, he told the two of them about this unfortunate situation so that they wouldn't be reckless.

Rose, who was already completely scared. She carefully follows Lanaery, avoiding getting closer than two feet to these antiques.

Lanaery didn't have a single point of mental energy, so she calmly approached a very normal-looking black necklace. She gently touches it, only to discover that there was no divine power within this necklace either.

Although she saw that there was a very evil element within the necklace that strangely seemed a bit familiar to her.

But Lanaery was sure she had never seen such an evil element before.

"!"

Suddenly, she connected this feeling of familiarity with the corrupted elements of the Abyssal Clones that she had fought for years!

Lanaery instantly removed her hands from this necklace, as she felt that this completely black element tried to attack her as if she felt in danger.

"What's happening?"

Jack asked, after seeing Lanaery's reaction to this necklace.

From his point of view, this necklace was completely harmless as long as no one injected their mental energy into it.

"...Nothing, let's keep looking at the rest of the antiques."

Lanaery forced herself to ignore this strange and evil element.

After a few minutes of touching different antiques, she finally found an item with some divine power inside. Before absorbing this divine power, she told Rose that she wanted to buy it.

Since it would be troublesome for Jack to watch this antique crumble to dust before his eyes.

Lanaery looked through the last few items, but she found nothing that had divine power.

So she finally only bought the antique item with divine power inside it.

It was a white conical candle with golden symbols that had a blue flame that constantly released screams in an unknown language.

"A wise decision, curiously this antique has quite a few people who want to buy it. All this because it was found in a rainbow portal of seven stars."

Jack said with curiosity in his eyes, but business comes first for him.

"The price of this antique is one million Stars Coins."

Rose almost felt her heart stop at this price.

"With the 90% discount, its final price is one hundred thousand Stars Coins."

Jack finished speaking with a professional smile.

"We take it!"

Rose immediately placed her holographic wristband near a payment device and completed the purchase.

"Thank you very much for your patronage. I look forward to your visit again soon."

Jack looked at Lanaery and said, "Miss Lanaery, on your next visit, I'll have lots of new antiques. I hope there's something you like in the next batch."

Lanaery nodded and with a beautiful smile, she said, "I'll see you again."

Jack watched as the two ladies disappeared into the distance.

Ting-a-ling!

After that, a beautiful woman entered the store and said, "Jack, do you still have that antique that looks like a conical candle?"

"I'll give you ten times what it's worth if you sell it to me now." She said with arrogance and a bit of haste.

-------------

On the way back, Lanaery asked Rose about the rainbow portals That were such a hot topic in this world.

Rose told her that they were incomplete worlds that could be accessed with rainbow crystals that created a portal to enter these incomplete worlds.

According to what she said. Inside these incomplete worlds were all kinds of treasures and opportunities to become much stronger!

But that there were also countless terrifying creatures that humans called Gillions.
