Chapter 5

"Arise!" A young goblin-guard shouted at the half-empty gallery as a middle-aged noble orc entered the hall. This one was clearly a female, at least that was something Vlad concluded after he saw her immense bosom. She was the size of a compact electric car and wearing a silky robe, showing her bountiful chest. Her face was ugly as an ass of an ass, with two immense tusks protruding from her mouth, decorated with some strange red metal.

"Well, unless there are trans orcs... Imagine that," Loony chirped in.

"Ehm..." Sometimes Vladimir hated his imagination as a few, very quickly smothered, pictures of orcs wearing heavy makeup and pink dresses flashed in his mind. His face blushed, as he stifled a laugh.

Vladimir and Adele were forced to stand up from kneeling with batons hitting their backs leaving red bruises. The gallery started booing. A few strange, rotten fruits landed on them. Vladimir noticed that Adele caught something in her mouth and gulped it with great gusto and grimaced. She looked at him and shrugged.

The orcette sat down and hinted to the rest that they could sit too. She seized the naked man before her, leaned towards her advisor and muttered something. Vlad noticed a badly hidden lust in her red eyes as she looked at his naked cock and chiselled body and shuddered. This time not from the cold.

"What we have here... Two humans, weak as babies, no magic... Unknown meaning of transportation. Probably spies. No known nobles, nor soldiers. No devil interested. No noble interested," she listed through the papers before her. "I will make short work of it. To the Coliseum with both of you. You two and that traitor will make a nice appetizer before the main dish," she menacingly smirked and ogled Vladimir with clear lust in her crimson eyes, "Guards, bring that male into my quarters. I want to taste him." She licked her upper big dark green lip and left.

"Oh boy... Yeah, I am gonna... You know. Out. Wake me up when you are done... Moreover, try not to remember after, please," Loony disappeared.

Vladimir looked at his disinterested mother, but she suddenly smiled, "Enjoy!". Then she was forced to leave back to the underground cells before he could ask what she meant by that. On the other hand, Vladimir was picked up like a sack of potatoes by the advisor.

Vladimir tried to notice as many things as possible. He created a mental map, slowly filling it with all the halls, turns and doors he could notice. The Encyclopaedia has already started to pay off. It's really marvellous.

If it was not for the situation, he would have marvelled at the size and beauty of this place. Black marble pillars in the old Roman style, beautifully sculpted with great care, embedded with argent metal. Murals on the walls showing devils destroying cities and in all kinds of positions, mostly sexual and with, and he could only guess now, exaggerated manhoods, breasts and other secondary signs.

The devils were mostly having two horns, while some of them three. Their skin was prevalently dark and all of them had handsome, aristocratic faces, long black or white hair, no facial hair, long eyebrows and lengthy, pointy ears.

They soon arrived at the quarters of the fat noble lady. The advisor dropped Vladimir on the ground without care and left. He gazed upon the large green menace and realized what his mother meant. He paled as he heard a soft click behind his back as the door closed and he was left with her alone. She was lying naked on a robust sofa, her green bosom spilling on the sides. Her slave-goblins fed her with a leg that could only belong to a goblin's.

The orcette ordered the slave-goblins to push his head between her immense green tights.

"Hey! Help me!" He cried out in his head for Loony's help. However, a reply never came back. “Coward!” Vlad shouted right before his mouth became full.

  [You went insane.]

A man with an empty gaze was thrown inside the cell. He had several whip lashes on his back, ass and other unspeakable places. He was soaked in liquid he hated from the bottom of his heart. He felt... broken. That abomination made him do things... He shivered at the reminiscence and cursed the Encyclopaedia.

"So, that happened... You can look at it from the bright side. She liked you. We could use that," Loony said unnaturally happily.

"We?" Vladimir muttered, but gradually got louder. "We?! WE?!" Vlad started to scream.

"Well... Yes?"

"Go fuck yourself... Really, please do," Vladimir hoarsely whispered as he slumped back, the energy leaving him after the initial outburst. Luckily, the aphrodisiac he was fed already ran out.

"I will leave you to calm yourself. Pussy. He got laid and complained..."

"Good morning, lover boy," Adele greeted him.

"Fuck yourself," Vlad replied.

"Is this how you talk with your mother?" She fenced.

"You mean the murderous Rotshield whore? Yes."

"Still your mother, young man!" She pouted. Her acting skills were stellar.

"Really, you can go fuck yourself too and leave me alone," he scowled at her.

"If I would not be chained to the wall, I would spank you," the playfulness of her voice irritated Vlad to no end. He winced and did not reply. Bad memory!

"Hoooly shit. She made you do what?!" Loony laughed as he watched the memories as a movie.

"Staumaz dammit, QUIET!" the goblin yelled. A person cannot get any sleep here.

"SILENCE!" A gruff voice came from the other side of the cell door.

Vladimir closed his eyes and attempted to [Meditate]. The skill took effect immediately and he slipped into the state.

After what felt like a hundred years, he successfully suppressed the swirling emotions and started thinking clearly.

He remembered a technique called a mind palace. You created a place in your mind and put things in there. To each thing you assigned a memory and whenever you wanted something to remember you found the thing.

So he did exactly that.

[Encyclopaedia sub-technique found. You can now lock memories with a note. Whenever you want to restore the locked memory, you must use a chosen paraphrase, action or both.]

The first thing he did was put the last four hours behind the thickest and sturdiest lock he could imagine, locked it up and threw away the key. He put a note there saying: 'GREEN MENACE! DO NOT UNLOCK UNLESS YOU WANT SUFFER AN ETERNAL PAIN!'.

After another hour passed and he opened his eyes. He was feeling much better. Still scarred, but no longer he felt like running a knife through his heart.

He looked at his aching body confused as he could not remember what happened.

"Hey, do you know what happened?" He asked Loony

"No. Strange... Maybe another torture? Whatever," Loony mentally shrugged. "They sleep anyway so we can look up the rest of the status screen."

"Hmm, sometimes... Just sometimes, you have a good idea. Are you perhaps sick?"

"Yes, we are. So stop being stupid and read," it returned the flame back.

Vladimir rolled his eyes and queried Onyx about resistances.

  [Resistance:

Your ability to resist everything in existence. It adds to ISS and in some cases MPA.

  Serum F1 14%

You were drugged so much, you developed a resistance to it. Either watch your back better or cut the drugs a little bit. Your overall ability to resist alchemical or scientific serums. 1% of serum effect resisted.

  Cutting Trauma F3 96%

You are either a suicidal or very clumsy samurai, or you are into kinky BDSM... Hey, I don't judge! 3% of cutting damage resisted.

  Blunt Trauma F5 45%

Maybe you should be nicer? At least you would not get spanked so much... 5% of blunt damage resisted.

  Mental Disorder E2 12%

As you are suffering from a mental illness, thanks to EES, you developed the resistance quickly. You will resist different kinds of ailments better. Including, but not exclusive, mental attacks, diseases, etc. by 12%.]

"Isn't it getting cheekier?" Vladimir wondered then shrugged. "Whatever. Onyx, skill list."

  [Mastery tiers:

Novice

Beginner

Apprentice

Adept

Master

Grandmaster]

And resistances went from F - SSS grade. Each grade had 10 levels, with each level increasing his natural defenses by 1%. Which was amazing. A percentage increase would snowball pretty quickly, especially on high levels.

The tiers above grandmaster were not listed and Vlad could tell it was because his system was only from 12% functional. He went over the log from the first time and marvelled at how much he was missing. He wondered how he could replace and find those missing parts.

According to Onyx, each tier gave some benefits. A person was able to raise his skills up to a beginner-tier by himself. However, to raise it higher he needed to cultivate one of the three types of energy.

"This is really incredible... This potential is truly amazing..." he was amazed and felt a hope for the first time in two days.

"Finally. It was nigh-time for you to finally decide to stop being such a pussy, knighty-boy," Loony decided to be heard again.

"Shush! I am going to meditate. I need to settle. It was too much. I need to work out a plan. And you are going to be silent!" Vladimir sharply silenced Loony.

Vladimir closed his eyes, cleared his mind and delved into deep focus. Loony rambled, but his voice was subdued and slowly disappeared. Vlad could tell he was still there, he just could not hear him.

⌬⌬⌬⌬⌬⌬⌬⌬⌬⌬

Vladimir's eyes fluttered as he slowly woke up from his dreamless sleep.

The ugliest being Vlad had ever seen stood above him and right in the middle of kicking him

The goblin had to see that he woke up, but it did not stop and let his green foot land on his ribs. Was it out of sheer spite? Order? Vlad coughed as he sharply inhaled.

Then he dropped an olive-green leathery canteen and big, slightly gnawed piece of roasted meat on a bone before him. "Eat, drink. Coliseum awaits you," the goblin hissed and left with a door slam.

"Good morning, honey!" Adele said with a full mouth.

"Why do you even bother? You are his mother as I am his father..." The goblin co-prisoner grumbled as he ravenously devoured his meal. For the first time, he said something different except for snoring, grumbling, growling or yelling. Not that Vladimir understood. Even though he ignored them and did not understand half of what she was saying to her... son... he pieced some things together. Frankly, even his mother was better than her. And that said something as his mother ate her first three kids.

"What did he say?" Vlad asked, sniffing to the meal. Luckily, it did not smell spoilt. Just water and meat.

"And here I thought you would not talk to her... After all, she betrayed you in the worst way possible. Actually, can it be even called betrayal?" Loony chipped in.

"Now, it's only you? Not we? Don’t tell me you are feeling hurt too!" Vlad muttered with a smirk.

"Heh, you are a constant supply of fun," Loony hinted at the screen.

[Analysis complete: Goblin roasted thigh. Canteen of drinkable water.]

"Nothing important... However, I have good news for you! We are going to the Coliseum today," Adele chirped in a good mood. She was fairly glad. She was starting to hurt in the nether area. Even though she was rigorously trained from a young age so she could... grant any wish of any male if the mission required it. However, the orcen “equipment” is quite large for a human to endure. She was marvelling at the stretchiness of the goblinetess and frankly she was being jealous of them. Not that she would ever admit it aloud.

Vladimir picked up the canteen and took a big swig. He was parched as Sahara and ravenous.

"What can we expect there?" He asked in a low voice. He suppressed his churning stomach. He hated it, was confused, irritated and angry. Still, he needed information and the only source was before him.

"Could be anything... Probably rats, whatever it means here. The goblin said we are going to die anyway," she replied while devouring the meat. She planned to fight for every second.

Vladimir sighed and gave the meat bite. It was chewy, but otherwise tasted like pork. The rest of the breakfast went silently.
