Halls

Believe me, a 16 year old boy depleted of memory and a grand hotel hall does NOT make a good combo.

….

“WHOA WHAT TH-”

Thump

Skyler, a teenage boy with lots of curiosity and a secret he himself doesn't even know.

And the strange surroundings accompanied by the eerie silence.

“What the f-”

Skyler is interrupted by a small water drop that has landed on his hair..it was like any other water drop, but slimy and thick…

Drip….drop…drip…drop…

Now that Skyler noticed, this place was indeed very, very wet, somehow.

And what place was he in?

A dimly (Barely, even) lit room, with those 1990s style wallpaper, except its aged about 50 years, judging on it being full of mildew in the corners, the kingdom like mold, the rotting smell of what was probably some dead animal concealed within it’s walls… the height of this chamber thing as about 5 times as tall as Skyler, the single lightbulbs hanging from a long thread embedded in the sulky ceilings…

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

Very welcoming indeed.

Oh, Skyler just stepped on a mysterious bone that made an exceptional amount of noise..

The pieces of broken bone stuck to the bottom of his boots, using the sticky puddle on the limestone floor with a liquid as mysterious as the bones.

Wow, its surely more welcoming now!

….

Skyler deep breathes, finding himself breathing in what is probably toxic mold spore air…or maybe it was the 1900s garage smell, which was arguably worse.. The smell made him stop taking deep breaths as he just stared to the end of this long neverending hall…or nt. There was heavy fog.

He looked down and breathed, hoping this maybe would poison him a bit less…as he saw a post-it note.Just a normal, not moldy or decayed light yellow post-it note..weirdly out of place and weirdly suits a horror game plot. Maybe reading the post-it would kill him or something, but not only was it unlikely, if he can’t escape, dying may be the next best option…Skyler thought to himself as he picks up the post-it, feeling what was probably the only thing dry here.

“Discover, Learn, [BLACKED OUT], forget.”

….The post-it read out. Great, exactly what he needs to get out of this hellish place, more ominous messages on post-it notes….hooray.

“CYCLE∴”

The last part on the very end of the empty post-it says to him. Really? Some sort of…Harry Potter lore? Normally, he would freak out, but this time, he’s just..thinking, and now that he thinks about it, he actually hasn't really freaked out much since he entered. I mean, he is a 16 year old edgy teen and he did just get dropped into a random hall that practically resembles hell in Greek mythology. It;s starting to feel quite like a fever dream, honestly.

He’s trapped here, or at least that he thinks. An optimal solution is going to be finding a way out of this..place. But how? It all seems hopeless, doesn't it.

“Well, I don't get to think that..this early on.”

And he was right. This place needed to be explored, maybe there was some sort of exit in this long neverending hall..well, it better be not neverending…he’s not sure though, the turquoise fog blocks him from seeing more than forty metres…

There isn't really any choice, is there?
