A story where anything goes.  Mostly. Crank, an unblooded yautja out to make his own way in a crazy universe, gets a lot more than he bargained for.  No longer content with the usual hunt, Crank endeavors to carve out a new place for himself among the stars.  He settles on Earth--a still developing world with plenty of places to get lost and things to do.  Endless trophies for the taking.   If he can manage to remain undetected and alive that is.  If the oomans who inhabit Earth don't try to kill him, he's sure the rogue hunters will. Stumbling into an old diner, in a one-horse town just off a highway exit, Crank meets some very unlikely allies.  A woman clad in leather, a one-legged legendary frontiersman, a cantankerous goat, and more.   A strange turn of events finds the group stranded in a mysterious desert wasteland.  Stuck without electricity, with very few resources, and with no sense of time or place--they will be forced to survive by their wits. This is a story about finding purpose, finding love, and everything in between.   Contains a romantic subplot.
