Brian hums a bit as he watched the commercial. He personally found it a bit…eccentric for his liking, really. He missed when he could watch TV without having to listen to a commercial every five minutes.
He shakes his head, snapping out of his thoughts. That’s not the part he should be focusing on, after all, he had gotten the game, a special edition too!

You see, his older brother is actually a software designer for FD Incorporated. The lead designer, in fact! At least for this project, that is…
But his brother actually gave Brian one hell of a birthday present. Adrian, his brother, always knew Brian was bit of a fan of RTS games. Especially the older ones, where you could lord over entire kingdoms and armies! And, of course, Adrian knew that may be a prominent feature.
So…his brother had gotten Brian a unique version of the game. It was something called a…”Villain Pack.” According to Adrian, it would give him a little bit of a…push in the wrong direction.
As for what he meant by that, Brian has no idea. All he knew, was that Adrian was being purposely ominous just to mess with him.
Brian quietly sighs. He loves his brother, but he can be a bit…much. Especially when it comes to video games. The only reason he knows this isn’t Adrian trying to set him back behind the other players, is that he cares too much about his job to do anything that drastic.
He takes a deep look in his room at the silver, glimmering metal of his high grade VR capsule, one he had gotten years ago yet was still one of the most advanced capsules.
Turns out, improving a metal bed is harder then it looks. No figure.
He turns stands up, turning towards the VR capsule to his left, letting out a small yawn.
“Well…guess it’s time.” He mumbles softly, walking towards his capsule. The game was about to launch in only about an hour max. Luckily those with ultimate edition gets extra time to customize their characters before the rest of the world can. Also those with the Villain Pack, he suppose.
Going inside the actual capsule has never been very comfortable. Yes there’s some soft fluff in the sides so you don’t have to lay against solid steel, but still, you have to lay a certain way and feel it clasp on your limbs. Very disheartening.
He lays there for a moment or two, before suddenly, everything goes black, and a single blue screen appears in front of his eyes.
GREETINGS, TRAVELER.
