Epilogue - A Lesson Learned (or Robotnik's Worst Day)

A sudden series of booming 'knocks' echoed out through Robotnik's main base. Puzzled, the doctor checked the nearest security monitor, but didn't see anyone at the base's entrance. Turning to his ever-present assistant, he asked:

“Orbot, were we expecting any visitors?”

However, any reply the robot may have made was lost as the door to the lab they were working in slid open.

“Oh, no, I just decided to drop by after I finished up my business with Sonic and the others. There is something we need to ‘discuss’ after all, and I have been waiting far too long to discuss it with you already. I also brought along a friend, but, don’t worry, she only came along to observe: She won’t interfere with our ‘discussion’.”

With ‘eyes’ now glowing a crimson red, Amy “Metal” Rose then proceeded to thoroughly educate the doctor on the inappropriateness of turning a delicate young maiden into a metal facsimile of herself without having even at least asked her first. Rouge, who had immediately agreed to come along when Amy explained the nature of the ‘errand’ she needed to take care of, even if the bat had also decided it would only be fair to leave what happened next in the hands of her justifiably ‘peeved’ friend, just watched with immense enjoyment (and the occasional verbal encouragement).

“Ahhh!! Orbot, the note…the next…LESS…underline it…30…NO, 50 TIMES!!!”

As various explosions, cries of distress, and incoherent shouts could be heard echoing out of the Eggman’s base, it was safe to say that this was a lesson the doctor would NEVER forget.
