“Do you ever get bored?”
“Mm? What do you mean?”
“I mean… You’re always looking at the same wall every day at this same hour.”
“Huh… I do don’t I.”
“It’s almost possessive in fact.”
“That’s real cheap coming from you Senri. You come here every single day just like me.”
“Well… I have my reasons.”
“So what’s with the question?”
“Are you going to answer it?”
“Depends, are you going to tell me why you come here every single day after help hour.”
“What I do on my free time is none of your business Clyde.”
“Then why is it yours when it comes to my own Senri? Hmm?”
“Just answer the question Clyde!”
Senri huffed with her cheeks puffed up in a fit. Clyde himself just sighed softly but his usual grin tainted his lips. He stared at the plan marble wall with only a single window just above to give it light. A light that was only allowed to enter due to open spaces. A light they weren’t allowed to bask in.
“I come here every day because this is one of the only places I can go to see the light from outside. Well the only place where an official won’t tell you off for being where you’re not supposed to anyways.”
“Ahh… I see.”
“Mhm.”
“Clyde?”
“Yes?”
“Are you an idiot?”
Clyde jolted where he was laying and frowned at Senri. The twin tailed blonde came into his vision. She had a cute face but to him it felt a little rough. Though if he was like any open like his other co-workers, he would have put some points to the way her body filled out. But of course he wasn’t like the rest of his co-workers who fawned over the smallest part of females. Honestly he didn’t have such interests. His interests were…
“Those Champions huh? Don’t know why you attached to those brutes.”
“Mm… They may be brutes Senri but they still have a life we never had or have in fact. Wouldn’t you agree?”
“I quite like my life thank you very much. Who want’s to go out in the wild just to get themselves killed? Our roles as Helper Units is all I need for Voliko’s sake!”
“No need to bring our god into this Senri!”
Clyde reprimanded Senri for her cursed words but she herself just puffed her cheeks in defiance.
“Our god did good by making our race survive! If it wasn’t for that we would be dying like brutes and not be remembered for anything.”
“So there is glory in being a Helper Unit?”
“Of course there is! Other wise those chaotic barbarians would be dead by now if it wasn’t for our help.”
Clyde went silent as the light from the window slowly dimmed. Clouds seemed to form from the tinted glass making the entire area shrouded in darkness. Only their shadows painted the dark wall due to the building’s lights from behind. Hearing a soft gong echo all around brought Clyde to the reality that he so desperately tried to fight.
“Come on Clyde. Free time is over and now we have to go rest for the next day.”
“Just give me five minutes Senri. I promise I’ll head to my dorm right after.”
“Cly-”
“Five minutes Senri please. Just five more minutes.”
Feeling distress from her friends voice did Senri back off. Walking down the usual small corridor that lead to the main one, Senri turned her attention behind her as she watched the solemn back shrouded in darkness fade away from her vision.
----------------------------------------
[Long ago there were five different races that clashed in arms due to differences in Elgria. Each race represented a clan and each clan represented an element. The Earth Clan or the Dwarf Race was famous for their metal works and construction. Their tools and weapons could have rivaled the ones blessed by gods making them dangerous to the other clans. The Wind Clan or the Elvish Race despised the Earth Clan because such creations went against the code of the gods. The Light Clan or the Human Race also agreed on this sentiment but were against the Wind Clan’s rituals to use nature to their beckoning. The Fire Clan or the Dragonoid Race disliked the way the Light Clan was wasteful in resources. Both the Wind Clan and the Earth Clan agreed with this but were also against the Fire Clan’s Slavery Laws which even the Light and Dark Clan or the Demon Race both agreed on.
The differences just kept stacking over time till each clan and race counted each other as an evil that must be erased. Their creator Selphio was distressed at his creations chaos and war. Selphio created these races in accordance to ancient law as did the many other gods of the other continents. Being one of the five major gods of life he couldn’t stand for this. He needed a plan to make sure all the races got along peacefully like they should have. Then an idea popped into his. What if a lesser god of life created a one time race in Elgria and became a neutral enemy of the Five Clans. Such a thing wasn’t against the ancient laws and could work. Putting his work together, Selphio managed to trick a lesser god of life to create a sixth race. The Grey Clan or the Void Race. It was said that this race was similar to the human race but was weaker in all terms of intelligence and strength but in terms of magic they rivaled even the Wind, Fire, Light, and Dark Clans all together.
Selphio made a bet with the lesser god. If his race managed to win in an all out war with the five different clans then he shall take over as the main god of creation for Elgria. If his race failed then they were subjected to whatever fact Selphio desired for them. Seeing a chance that no other lesser god could have did the lesser god accept the terms under ancient law. Rowldian the major god of war and Yubio the major goddess of Law both agreed to the war between each of these gods. What happened was lost in text eons ago.]
Putting down the ancient text did Clyde Southweather sigh in disbelieve. Hoping to find answers on his Clan’s history was always futile. Each time a new text came into his hands, the more complex and hidden the history became. Sighing again but this time in frustration, his softly short brown hair became messy due to the pulled Clyde gave it. He finally stopped after a few times silently screaming in frustration before picking up the next text book. But before he could even dive into the words, a bell rang all around him.
“All ready time? I thought I had another hour or so… Oh well.”
Placing the text back on the beside table did Clyde jump from his small mattress of a bed and walk to the tiny sink to the left. His room or dorm was small enough to fit a sink and an oven including his small mattress. In all honesty this is how all people who were below level three lived their lives. Clyde examined his face in the mirror. No hints of fatigue layered his face or hints of last nights late night reading getting to his facial features. A small perk being part of the Void Race. No matter what they did, they never ran out of energy or stamina but that didn’t mean they couldn’t rest.Rest was something Clyde never did due to many reasons. Brushing off his thoughts did he give his features one last look before placing his glasses on his face. He wasn’t much of a looker which granted he got this information from other females of his race. He wasn’t built like the rest of his co-workers or actually just looked built. Due to a magical composition he had like the rest of his race, he automatically have in humane strength. This helped him keep up with the rest of his co-workers with their daily task.
Grabbing his vest and helmet, Clyde locked the door to dorm 142 and placed the key in his vest pocket. Work was something every one of his race was required to do. The long corridors that the entire building was made of was a normal sight for Clyde. Getting to his work station wasn’t that long due to it being on the basement floor. More or less Clyde lined up with the rest of his colleagues waiting for the instructions from their section leader. His work station was a small cramped furnace type room which dealt with different metals and tools.Clyde’s job was to deliver the tools and metals to local areas on the basement floor or the higher floors. The basement floor consisted of productivity and relay work shops. Which only included one main corridor that lead to the elevator shafts at one end and the other end lead to a dead end. Branching off the corridor was were the dorms and work stations resided. Each corridor was labeled with a letter and a number between 1-10. Overall there was only thirty different corridors for each different departments and the dorms they are affiliated with. The basement floor itself was a pitch black work area with medium levels of oxygen output to begin with. As such those who reach old age are put down due to inconsistencies. It was the way the law was. Not being able to work is a cause of death due to old laws and ways.
“Line up you runts! We got a job! A big one in fact.”
The same line was said like it was said a thousand times. The same old script that Clyde’s section leader always announced.
“More metals and tools must be made for the level 5 and up. The people upstairs really are in need and thank us for our work!”
Just the same lies and same truths. People on the higher floors needed metals and tools but treated the metals like trash.
“Also before we break in our usual routine, I got some other news.”
Clyde broke from his stupor and actually paid attention to his supervisor once these words came out of his mouth. It was rare even for anything extra to appear in the daily instructions.
“We got a new recruit from the development floor. His name is Brane Rufford. You treat him right because the gods only know we need fresh hands around this joint. “
While the rest of the group laughed in unison, Clyde focused his attention on the new recruit that was hiding behind his section leader. Just like Clyde, the boy was a smaller build and a head shorter then him. Being 5’1’ meant the boy was very small compared to the rest of his colleagues. His messy black hair and dirty face was evident that he was trained the work they did but his clothes looked clean. Well it was none of his business.
“Going to assign the recruit to someone who works in his field…”
“Then let Clyde do it!” Said a random voice.
“Yeah Clyde and Brane are in the same division right boss?” Said another random voice.
“Well you look at that! Clyde is in the same division! Let’s get him to do it.”
Now it was his business. Not wanting to train the recruit did Clyde try to push the matter on someone else.
“Can’t someone from the metal division show him the ropes? I can’t work with him on my tail!”
“Hey unlike you Clyde, the metal division needs a lot more help!” ranted a random voice to his left.
“All you do is just clean the metals and process them!”
“And it’s a long process! Just take the kid and stop arguing!” Said another random voice.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“Well you heard them Clyde, looks like you have to take this guy under your wing. If you fall under the usual delivery rate today I will deduct your free time.”
Clyde cursed silently under his breath as his teeth clench shut. He nodded only in agreement before his mouth got the better of him. With that Clyde was stuck explaining the floor and the role of their job to Brane. Currently right now Clyde was finishing up a delivery on corridor A2 and was making his way to the main corridor.
“The corridors are branched off in blocks that are labeled A-C and each corridor is numbered 1-10. Since we work in the metal and tool workshop we are block C. We make deliveries to blocks A-B. Understand so far?”
“Yes teacher!”
“Again for the last time, don’t call me teacher! Just call me Clyde!”
“Yes Mr. Clyde!”
Seeing that he was getting nowhere with the younger boy did he sigh in defeat. Clyde liked the boy’s outgoing attitude and enthusiasm since such characteristics were rare on the basement floor. But such a personality is soon to fall into an abyss due to the fact that nature of their work. Such a thing was disappointing at the least. Clyde himself was similar to the boy just as he got out of the development floor years ago. Reality changed him overall.
“So once we make all the deliveries to the other blocks then we start sorting out deliveries to the other five floors.”
“Ah! I know this one! The five floors are the development floor, shopping district floor, medical center floor, guild central floor, and the paragon floor!”
“Mm it seems they still study in the development floor huh? So you know why we have all these floors?”
“Because we are the base settled before the tower Yeco which is said to be the largest dungeon in the continent of Elgria! We cater to all champions before they set off to dungeon’s dangers right?”
“So what floor is this?”
The boy paused in his response as they finally made it to the elevator station at the end of the main corridor. The elevator station was one big room with only one main elevator that went to the first floor and small little elevators that traveled through out the building. These elevators is what the delivery service used to send all materials and items through out the building.
“I really don’t know what floor this is Mr. Clyde. They only told me what skills I need and not to worry what floor I was being sent too.”
Clyde grimaced at that fact as he pushed one of the carts next to the small elevator labeled ‘12’ before sending it up. Of course the development floor did their ways to this.
“This is the basement floor Brane.”
“Basement floor?”
“Yes Brane. Those level 1-3 are only allowed to work in this floor. As such our classes consist of only labor inducing roles.”
“So we do we go to the other floors?”
Clyde turned his attention to the little one next to him and cringed at the sparkle in the boy’s eyes.
“No Brane. You don’t get to go to the other floors. Only the section leaders are allowed to go up the tower and that’s only to the development floor to get recruits and instructions for the day. Even then section leaders are chosen only by the development floor. If you weren’t chosen as a section leader then you have no hope of ever going up the tower.”
“But-”
“Enough Brane. That’s the reality of our work. We work to the bone while those on higher floors have it easy. It’s always been this way.”
“But that’s not fair!”
Clyde frowned at the boy’s objection and pushed another cart into another elevator. Of course it wasn’t fair but old laws were not to be broken.
“It doesn’t matter kid. That’s life. Now come on, we won’t get free time if we don’t finish this work.”
Both Clyde and Brane worked in silence till they finally got all the carts pushed up to the higher floors. The gong rung again signifying the end of their shift. Sighing in relieve did both of the boys settle down on a nearby empty cart and took their break.
“Mr. Clyde?”
“Mm?”
“Is there really no way to go up the building? To see the outside world. The outside world was beautiful during all times of the day. Even if it was only a small window.”
“Yes… This is our fate. This is why our roles fit into play.”
“Will I never get to see the sky again?”
The entire conversation went silent again as Clyde’s thought plagued his mind. He understood the boy’s feelings. Clyde’s hand slowly gravitated to the boy’s dark black hair and ruffled it softly. Brane was surprised by the sudden contact and flinched away.
“Oh sorry! I just… My hand just...”
It went silent again till a small giggle escaped from the boy’s lips till finally his entire frame was shaking from laughter. Clyde himself was taken back from the laughter but joined in. It wasn’t so bad have someone like Brane around Clyde thought. Maybe it was okay to show him the spot.
“Hey Brane, do you still want to see the sky?”
Brane stopped his laughter and gave Clyde a look of puzzlement.
“What do you mean Mr. Clyde?”
“What if I had a way for you to see the sky?”
This made Brane perk up from his seat and gave Clyde a series look.
“Do you really mean that Mr. Clyde?”
“Indeed. Come follow me.”
Clyde moved from the cart and dashed from the elevator station with Brane in tow. The faster they got their the faster Clyde would feel good about it. Besides he knew Senri must have been there already. Down the main corridor did the two rush as the traffic of workers on their free period made their ways either to their dorms are other workstations. Brane struggled with the flow of workers but he discovered that Clyde didn’t have a problem with the tide of workers. Soon they ended up at the dead end of the main corridor which caused Brane to question Clyde.
“Mr. Clyde… This is the end like you showed me earlier today.”
“Yes I know Brane. This way.”
Turning left did Brane notice a corridor he didn’t see last time. This corridor was labeled ‘C11’ with the numbers above the entrance falling off. The entire corridor itself look deserted unlike the other ones. Even the entire corridor didn’t have lights.
“Mr. Clyde…?”
“Come Brane, it’s fine okay? Just follow me.”
“But it’s dark Mr. Clyde...”
“Do you trust me Brane?”
Brane paused for a moment as he contemplated Clyde’s words. Though the encroaching fear from the dark corridor hit his mind, the passion behind Clyde’s words caused him to rethink his actions. Giving in did Brane nod his head softly at Clyde. Smiling softly for the first time did Clyde motioned the boy to follow him and rushed into the dark corridor. The more they walked the darker the corridor got which caused Brane’s hairs to stand on edge.
“Mr. Clyde… Was there always eleven corridors?”
“Actually no. Like I said previously, each block only has ten corridors to it.”
“Then why is this one labeled eleven sir?”
“Because it was a failed construction attempt. This corridor was made to make bigger space for the old residents of the basement floor but the longer it took to make this corridor, the faster the laws caught up and it wasn’t even needed anymore.”
“Then why are we going down this-”
Brane stopped his questioning when he noticed a small faint of light glow down the end of the corridor. It was different from the buildings lights. In fact it looked quite familiar to him. The closer they got the more Brane recognized the light. It was light from the outside!
“Mr. Clyde… Is that...”
They finally stopped their trek into the corridor to reveal a small door leading into a room. The room was small but it had a single mattress and a couple of chairs in the middle. Nothing was in the small room except for the light pouring down from a single window from above casting rays of light onto a wall.
“Yes it is. Go ahead, I got to turn on the magical generator just in case the light from the window goes out.”
Clyde turned towards the magical generator to turn on the lights in the corridor to reveal more of the room. It was soft lights that didn’t interfere with the natural lighting but it was enough to reveal tables and small plates everywhere. Brane himself was touching the wall that the ray of lights were touching and looking up towards the window. The sky mirrored his orbs with a smile slowly creeping on his features.
“What is this room Mr. Clyde? How did you find it?”
Clyde settled down on a nearby chair and noted that his friend never showed up. Shaking his head at the thought did he respond to Brane.
“I found it long ago when I met a friend. She showed me this room and I been here every free period looking at that wall and window.”
“It’s amazing… Have you tried… You know...”
Taking a hint at what Brane was mentioning did he shake his head at the boy.
“No Brane, the window is permanently sealed with magic. Nothing can break it out or open it unfortunately.”
Such a conclusion made Brane’s expression drop but it didn’t by that much. The boy turned his attention back to the window above as Clyde just watched the boy. Who knows how long this went but slowly the light from the window was dimming showing that it was almost time to leave due to the free period.
“Come on Brane. Free period is almost over.”
“Ah… I see.”
If Brane was trying hard to hide his disappointment then he wasn’t doing a good job Clyde thought. He smiled apologetically at Brane as he got up from his chair.
“Come on, you have more time tomorrow and the next during your free periods.”
“You mean I can come again…?”
“Well you already know this place so I don’t see why not.”
Brane’s facial expressions broke out in a grin before Clyde found himself being held by a boy way younger then him.
“Thank you so much Mr. Clyde!”
“Off! Hugs are a no!”
Objecting to the boy’s affection did Clyde managed to squirm out of the boy’s grasp and move back a few paces. Brane himself rubbed the back of his head apologetically.
“Sorry Mr. Clyde. Didn’t know you didn’t like being held.”
“That’s because Clyde has a phobia of love and affection. I swear the boy needs to get that checked other wise girls won’t like him.”
A new voice brought their attention to the entrance of the room. A blonde woman woman in a single pony tail had her hands on her hips as her curves did her justice. Today she was wearing her usual work outfit which was a nurses outfit and a single blue ribbon that tied up her hair into the pony tail. Her cute face made Brane blush softly which wasn’t something Clyde didn’t catch. Sighing at the arrival of his other friend did he raise an eyebrow at the blonde woman.
“Boy? Aren’t we the same age Senri, besides aren’t you a little late to the party?”
“I would have gotten here faster Clyde if it wasn’t for the fact that this is a dead zone.”
Clyde’s eyes widen in shock at his friends statement and shook his head in disbelief.
“There is no way this area is a death zone. That term hasn’t been used in a hundred years Senri.”
Senri’s gaze drifted away from Clyde’s as she rubbed her left arm. The discomfort in the girls response to his own caused Clyde to break into a cold sweat.
“What do we do then Senri. If this is a dead zone then you shouldn’t be here!”
“Mr. Clyde, what’s a dead zone?”
Brane tried to grasp the situation but was only shut out. Senri returned her attention back to Clyde and gave him a thumbs up.
“Don’t worry Clyde! We can take the service elevator to the next floor and escape this massacre!”
“That doesn’t answer my question Senri! Why are you here?”
“Because...”
“Because what?”
“Because I care about you okay! I overhead my co-workers talking about the purge of the basement floor. Apparently there is to many workers down here and the people on the paragon floor thought it was neccesary to purge the entire floor to make room for the next recruits in the development floor. Hearing this I couldn’t just stand there and let you die!”
Screaming at the top of her lungs did Clyde shut his trap. Senri huffed softly before she started to wipe the tears that were escaping her eyes. Clyde’s mind racing but he actions took over his body. He walked towards Senri and patted her shoulder giving her a warm smile.
“Okay I believe you. So that elevator, it’s the same one you take to get down here right?”
Senri finally finished wiping her face and smiled back at Clyde softly. She nodded her head.
“Yes it is. It’s just outside the corridor. All we have to do is take it up to the third floor and make our way down to the development floor.”
“Good. Then why are we wasting time. Let’s go Brane.”
“Whoa Whoa! Wait! Who is this?”
Senri stopped Clyde’s movement towards the exit of the room and stared in disbelieve at the younger boy. Brane himself now noticing he was part of the conversation did he stutter at the question.
“M-my name is Brane Ma’am! I just started working here today.”
Senri’s jaw dropped slightly before turning towards Clyde and walking to the other side of the room. She started to whisper softly so Brane couldn’t hear anything.
“Who is this...”
“You heard him Senri, his name is Brane.”
“I know his name! I am asking why he is here!”
“Because...”
Clyde looked to the side and eyed the boy.
“Because he reminds me of me when we first started working in this forsaken building.”
Senri paused at Clyde’s statement and stared at the boy across the room with him. They stood there for a couple seconds before Senri responded.
“He does look like you doesn’t he. Poor boy.”
“Hey! What’s that supposed to mean!”
Senri just pushed out her tongue at Clyde before walking towards Brane.
“Brane was it? Well you are coming with us.”
With that Senri just turned around and walked out of the room and into the corridor. Rolling his eyes, Clyde beckoned a confused Brane to follow. They both followed the blonde pony tailed woman through the corridor. But of course Brane still had questions.
“So what is a dead zone Mr. Clyde?”
Clyde sighed softly before turning his attention back to Brane.
“A dead zone is when a floor is used by champions for practice. In the odd sense it means everyone in the floor is supposed to die.”
Clyde could hear Brane’s swallow even from a few feet away. Poor guy and even on the first day of the job too.
“Y-you seem awfully calm about this Mr. Clyde….”
The fear in the boy’s voice wasn’t unnoticed by the other too. Clyde just frowned and turned his attention back to the corridor.
“Because there is no use in panicking right now Brane. If we did then we get nowhere. Honestly I don’t want to die even though I hate the way my life is.”
“Why… Why though.”
“Because if I died then I would never get to see that window again.”
This quieted down Brane as they finally made it to the main corridor. The usual bustle of the main corridor was silent which was unusual to Clyde. It was to quiet in fact.
“Clyde… Is it always this quiet…?”
“No it’s not… Go get the elevator ready. I have a few things to get.”
“What are you talking about Clyde!?”
Clyde was stopped by Senri’s hand just as he was about to rush off down the main corridor. He turned his head towards Senri and softly removed the hand.
“I need to get a few things Senri. Please just understand. My research is in my dorm.”
The importance of his research was known by Senri. It was something that was actually valuable on this floor. The one thing that was important to Clyde. It wasn’t something you could replace easily. Giving in did she shake her head softly.
“Just get back here quick okay? The faster we get out of here the safer it is.”
“I’ll be quick!”
With that Clyde gave a smirk before rushing down the main corridor towards his dorm.
“You better Clyde. You better.”
----------------------------------------
The more he ran the more disturbed he was by the sight before him. Countless blood stains painted the walls of the main corridor. The more he ran towards his dorm the more the screams increased. Each time a flash of light from another corridor flashed to the side knowing that meant someone died. He manged to get to corridor C1 and ran towards his dorm. The more he traveled into the corridor the more the screams echoed through out the walls. The more he felt his blood pumping through his veins. When he finally made it to his dorm he noticed all the doors next to his were wide open and blood marks were dragged out of the said dorms.
Trying not the throw up due to the smell did he manage to take out his key from his vest and open the door to his dorm. His hands found his research in a second and his sighed in relieve.
“Thank the gods this is safe.”
“Thank the gods? Oh boy you are not even out of it yet monster.”
Feeling his blood go cold did Clyde turn around to face where the unusual voice came from. Just outside his dorm room stood a man with belts covering his entire head. His eyes, mouth, and hair were the only things poking out of the belts as his entire body was wrapped in a black cloth and wore long black pants. In the man’s hands were to long jaded daggers with blood dripping from the ends. The crazy man was covered in blood. Clyde can only guess what that blood was.
“Not going to beg your life monster? Pathetic! At least some of them fought! You evil ways of seducing woman and slaving children are over!”
The mans words brought Clyde back to reality of the situation as his body went tense. Noticing the man in front of him did the man in belts chuckled menacingly.
“That’s it! It won’t be a challenge if you monsters don’t fight. I mean come on! You’re only level 1-3! You can’t do anything to us!”
Clyde’s eyes drafted up towards above the mans head which revealed his name and the level he was plus the class. Noticing the man was level 60 caused Clyde eyes to widen even more.
“Oh come on now, I am not just going to kill you. You monsters are to easy to kill. Let’s play a game, if you can run and escape this place I don’t kill you. But if I find you, hehehe well that would be fun wouldn’t it?”
The man chuckled more to himself as he clutched his blades closer to chest as if allowing Clyde to run out of the room. Not taking any second chances did he bolt out of the room and towards the main corridor. The more he ran the more he heard the chuckle from the man behind him echo more through out the corridor. Each time he made a step the more heavier his body felt. He didn’t know this feeling but if he had to describe it… It would be that he was about to die. He finally saw the end of the main corridor and noticed the elevator ready with Senri and Brane inside. Senri noticed Clyde and smiled in relieve in his returning figure. But her smile dropped when she caught his expression.
“Clyde? What’s wrong Clyde?”
“Start the elevator come on!”
“The elevator needs a few seconds before it charges! It will take time!”
“Then take my research and guard it with your life!”
Clyde shoved the tome into Senri’s hand causing her to give him a look of befuddlement.
“What are you saying Clyde?”
“There is a champion behind me Senri and he is ready to kill...”
Senri’s eyes went wide at this statement as Brane looked like he was about to faint at the news.
“He’s a champion… Right Mr. Clyde? He won’t hurt us because we help him right…?”
Clyde shook his head softly as he shoved the tome more into Senri’s hand and pushed her into the elevator.
“Just get the elevator started and go Senri! I will distract him!”
“I won’t leave-”
“We don’t have time Senri!”
Clyde’s shout shut Senri’s little mouth causing her to look at him with disbelief this time. He shook his head and grinned.
“Just keep them both safe.”
With that Clyde turned from the elevator and yelled towards the main corridor.
“I’m over here freak! Come and get me!”
Clyde turned into corridor C11 and disappeared without a trace. With his disappearance did the appearance of a frightening force followed. The man with many belts frightened both Senri and Bran as the blood trailed behind the man as his daggers made their skin crawl. The man noticing there was more rats on the floor smiled wickedly at his new prey.
“Wait here… I will get you my-”
He swung his daggers softly.
“-little-”
He turned his attention to corridor C11 and smiled even more.
“-monsters. So wait here to get killed.”
He laugh was fit for a mad man as it made their blood in their veins go cold. Even Brane seemed he was on the urge of fainting due to the pressure the man was giving off. The man continued his menacing laugh as he made his way down the corridor. The moment the elevator was ready did the blood curdling screams from C11 traveled to the group in the elevator causing Senri to slam on the power button of the elevator. At least the two of them were able to escape.
