It was just another normal day for him

It was just another normal day for him

It was just another normal day for him,

nothing could really go wrong, right?

Wrong.

Everything would change in the next few hours for the lad in his

twenties.

Aron was getting home from some errands he was supposed to run,

it was a busy suburban day as usual.

The traffic was just right, enough to make a grown man cry.

He got back to the gated apartment complex made his way to the

basement of his tower.

He noticed a familiar face and also something really wrong going on.

It was criminal intimidation in broad daylight, that too with a gun.

The intimidation turned into some 'roughing up' of the victim which

lead to him bleeding.

He did his best to stop the fight and made time for security to get to the situation.

Sadly, things would take a rough turn for the young man.

The police get called and upon their arrival,

they apprehend both the young man and the culprit.

In the following hours, the upholders of law and order get bribed by the culprit and the case is created with Aron's name as the main culprit.

The gun is put down under Aron's name and Aron is charged under

the Arms Act.

This is followed by being inside the lockup under police custody

and eventually not making bail.

Aron is sent to jail. One of the worst prisons in the country.

A central jail.

Within these borders are thousands of criminals who actually

committed various atrocities.

It was kind of fast and kind of funny, but mostly weird for Aron.

He was simply just surprised before he could take it all in and realize he could not meet his mom for a while.

He was wondering how his mom would be doing without him and that thought itself just made him crazy and feel helpless.

Life had suddenly changed into four walls and bars, lots of iron bars.

"Okay. I spent some time being sad. It's time to now process the situation, the people and the location. "

He looked around, "What if there is a fire?", he wondered.

"I guess I can always just go under that tub sort of a thing filled with water."

He asked himself if the people locked in here with him had blades on them like in the movies.

That would be kind of scary even for the most trained man in combat.

Being caught with a blade on the neck when you're asleep, it is a scary thing to think about.

"Then again, why would anyone even stab me?", he again wondered, " Probably not.". He eventually slept that night wondering about his mom some more.

He was mostly unaware of the hundreds of mosquito bites that happened overnight in the midst of his deep slumber after a rough twenty something hours.

He woke up to a lot of red spots and the cry of the office in duty of the ward.

" File! ",

he shouted, it was followed by the sluggish and sleepy movement of all the inmates and eventually lining up in sets of ten.

It was easy to count for the guards that way, it seems. Great.

Should not take too long, right?

Wrong,

it took forever, also at this point it should be mentioned that it's five o clock in the morning.

Everyone again gets to sleep till eight when another, "File!" almost mimicking a warcry will force everyone to get up and again get in line for the eight o clock count.

There are six counts throughout the day, to make sure the convicts don't stay outside their wards. The food was straight up bad.

Distasteful at best, disgusting at worst.

Even swallowing the food was a chore which felt like should be avoided and which definitely did not feel like it presented a viable solution for

the need of sustenance.

But a man's got to eat, right?

Correct, actually, Aron ate during lunch.

It was the worst kind of rice and pulse he ever had but

he ate it taking into account the hundred sixty people in that room also eating that same lunch and not dying.

You would definitely not die from that food and probably never get diarrhea but you would certainly get a massive heartbreak.
