Announcement

I apologize for my absence here; I've been in another country without any internet. My uncle had a stroke and we had to leave to visit him with no preparation. But my perspective as an author has changed quite a bit since I had a talk with him in the hospital.

It turns he actually was reading my story and didn't know I was the author. I've since told him and we've had a good time discussing it. He was quite interested in the universe I'm building, enjoying the apathy or downright hatred towards humanity as a whole. "It's a rare thing to see done well in fiction", he said.

One thing he didn't like was that the protagonist was not scared or intimidated by his situation. Not even a little bit. That wasn't human and it plain didn't convey a compelling story. I admit, that was a rather large mistake on my part. He gave me some 'required reading' on that subject, the works of HP Lovecraft. I loved every word of it, devouring The Call of Cthulhu and The Dunwich Horror  within a day. I highly recommend them.

The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

As I sat back at home, staring at my screen wondering what to write in the next chapter of Underpowered?, I realized that this story could be so much more. It could have rolling horror and suspense, weaved into an entertaining bildungsroman. It could be something that my Uncle would read with respect, and maybe a slight bit of fear.

So, I'll be scrapping this story where it's at and moving onto a quasi-fanfiction novel set in the Cthulhu mythos. These chapters will still be available to read, but I'll also link to the new novel when I release it. Thank you all.

I'a I'a Cthulhu fhtagn.

tl;dr - Underpowered?  is scrapped and to be replaced soon with a bigger and better novel.
