[ Vox's POV ]

I'm one of the generals of the undead army.

Vox, the frost coffin.

Ever since I'm a child, I was blessed with high magic power.

My parents immediately reported it to the king and instantly, I was taken to a research institute for mages and study there my whole life, till I was 18.

The king, on my birthday, was delighted of my progress that he permits me to own a power that will heighten my own.

The God of winter death, Itztlacoliuhqui, answered my call and my power.

He gave me the ability, Frost coffin, an ability that freezes the whole entity. In short, I can turn anything into ice from its deepest root till it's completely turned to ice.

After that, I became a general, joining other nine people.

The black berserker, Gunther.

The moon child, Velvet.

The blood witch, Seleca.

The night Hunter, Gill.

The dark thorn, Felt.

The Arachne, Vera.

The undead Prince, Grachiel.

The blood rose, Rosetta.

And the killer maid, Merry.

Prince Grachiel, is the only Prince of this clan, unluckily for the king, the Prince was in love with a woman of a different clan. The two different clans were in an uproar of what has become of the love, a child. All we generals were also dumbfounded and at the same time have mix feelings of anger and curiosity. Because, two different people, had a child with two mix element. Life and Death, those are a bizarre combination.

The king, cast away his son, also Prince Grachiel's wife had been cast away by her family too. With many followers, Prince Grachiel departed with his followers together with his pregnant wife. All us generals, were comrades, and decided to follow him. But, me personally, I don't care either because, I'm a man that pursuit my own curiosity and only followed the couple to see the child's growth as a variant or a disruptor of balance of this world. I'm having no interest in anything, but when I take an interest unto something, I shall witness its beauty.

After giving birth, the child didn't cry nor say anything. Merry the head maid, with her knowledge, said something about an illness that only children with enormous mana that their body can't handle is preventing the child to be awaken. The mana circulating her body is so huge that her brain can't handle it and made the body to hibernate. That was my hypothesis, according to Merry, the child will be awaken when the body can handle its own mana. What I'm wondering is, when I was born, I too had enormous mana. Maybe my mana is just not too abnormal like her, or is it because that child had two mix elements on her body rejecting each other?

Prince Grachiel prepared a magic item, cursed coffin, a magic item that prevents harm to the person inside of it. Also, that magic item has its merits and demerits. One of its merits are its protection, the other are high healing and the ability to make the body inside felt comfortable. Its demerits are, fast growth of the body, nightmares, and the most horrible thing distortion. Let me explain, the inside of the coffin is like a different dimension were time flows are different than usual and also the body be distorted because of the casual space distortions inside the coffin.

The prince well knew that something will happen with his daughter. But he remove that way of thinking and think of something positive. We stayed in an abandoned village that seemed to be attacked several years ago. We rebuilt it and made a village specifically for the protection of the little princess.

But, the two couple died, the war between the two clans resulting to many bloodshed and resulting our clan to lose with the members of royalty. Mary was shook and regretted not being there to help the clan. All we generals regret it, but, we can't undo what has happened. We continue rebuilding the village, Mary was in charge of taking care of the princess. The elves brought by the wife of our Prince also help with the village and having a good relationship with our clan.

The princess wake up, after waking up, Mary instantly brought her outside and start the ceremony instantly.

"Isn't it early?" (Gunther)

"Hmm, I don't know what that old lady was thinking, but we should follow her orders."

After the ceremony, her status was seen by all of us, we were shook to see the infinite mana but what shook us the most was her race. High liches are monsters that is hard to take down, liches are nuisances already but higher ranking are the most dangerous one. The whole clan along with the elves debated whether we can trust the princess, Mary said she will handle it and seems she had trust with the princess.

The debate ended with mix feelings, we agreed to judge the princess whether she is a threat or a blessing to the clan. But me, I was intrigued with the infinite mana and how'd she became a high lich.

Morning came, Mary called us generals to teach the princess, I was assigned as the magic instructor.

"Vox, I will teach you about magics."

We were in front of her introducing ourselves.

"I will be in your care too." (Princess)

She seems normal.

Now let's see what her power can do.

It's my time now to teach her, but, I would like to see her in action.

She agreed to my proposal, I will be examining your infinite mana.

We are both outside in a more open space, she's using three staffs, I know the two staffs but I don't know what the other one is.

After chanting something, a magic circle appeared, I was filled with excitement because I saw a very unusual magic circle. Dark feathers appeared and crows roamed the sky. Wait! I see those crows in an ancient book, those are nightmare crows, though being just a simple monster, and they had the ability to curse the person they made contact with. I don't want to be flustered so I immediately counterattack with my ice. That was a wonderful staff, the nightmare crows existed on ancient times believing that a group of crows would result to an impending crisis.

"Is that all you got?"

I want to mock her so she could show me more of that unusual magic.

She chant something again, a maid appeared this time, wait it's a doll?

Moving dolls aren't that unusual. But the movement of the doll is fascinating.

The doll summoned a giant scissor, I covered my hand with ice and block its attack.

Then roots appeared and bind me, hmm it makes me immovable but I can destroy this roots with my ice, but something stopped me.

I sense a massive amount of magic energy.

She using that staff again and start to chant, a giant magic circle appeared from the sky, my heart is beating so fast because I saw the scene of a godly magic I didn't know. A massive spear appeared, I forgot I needed to flee but my mind and my eyes are more focus on the complicated magic circle. And again, I heard Hime was chanting again and a transparent dome covered the entire village with four huge floating pillars with unfamiliar markings flying outside the barrier.

I never felt more curious than when I was in that magic laboratory in the kingdom.

I have decided, I will teach our princess magic, I will make her more powerful, I will be his master.
