........

In the midst of the vast expanse of the tumultuous ocean, the relentless waves crash against my precarious "boat," if one could even bestow that title upon this rudimentary contraption, causing it to shudder and bounce perilously. "Oh dear! It's not going to hold up for much longer!" I exclaim in a mix of fear and desperation as I notice one of the logs separating itself from my makeshift vessel, further diminishing its already fragile structure. Completely soaked and clinging to life, I tightly grip whatever I can, seeking desperately for any sign of salvation - be it an island, a ship, or any object to anchor my hope to - as I fervently pray for a fortuitous sighting.

From the moment I conceived the idea of this floating platform, I harbored deep misgivings about its feasibility, but my overwhelming desire to escape the confinements of the island obscured my judgment, leading me to overlook the myriad problems it presented. "There goes another log," I lament, leaving me with only one precarious trunk of wood keeping me afloat. At this juncture, my "boat" no longer merits the name, transforming into a mere floating tree trunk at the mercy of the tempestuous ocean currents.

As I peered into the distance, my eyes widened in astonishment and relief as I spotted a ship not too far away from me, bringing a glimmer of hope to my already dwindling spirit. "Yes! Salvation at last!" I couldn't help but shout joyfully as I immediately started rowing the log with all my might, propelling myself towards my potential saviors.

As I drew closer to the ship, my curiosity, intrigued by its intricate design, noticed the striking pink hue. "Hmm, quite an interesting choice of colors," I chuckled to myself, "but hey, to each their own preferences, right?" With renewed determination, I continued to row the log, not minding the quirky color choices of the ship but rather focusing on the rescue it offered.

"I was starting to fear that I might be the only one left on this desolate world," I mused aloud, "but at least now I don't have to entertain that notion any longer." The mere prospect of human contact filled me with anticipation and a mixture of emotions. As the ship grew closer, my attention was drawn to the flag that proudly swayed at the very top. "A skull with a heart? Are they pirates?" My mind raced with various possibilities.

I continue rowing, feeling both apprehension and determination. Deep down, I know the risks of getting on the ship, but something inside me pushes me forward, consequences be damned. "My saviors seem to be of a questionable occupation," I comment, trying to make sense of the situation as I approach the impressive ship, its size becoming even more apparent up close.

With a firm grip on the ladders on the side of the ship, I chuckle nervously, "Well, a savior is a savior, I guess." My heart races as I start to climb, wondering what awaits me on the deck above.

As I ascend, the tension rises when I hear someone shouting, "You're both going to die!!" The words echo in my ears, and I can't help but quicken my climb, trying to reach the top faster. "What the hell is going on up there?" I mutter, my curiosity getting the better of me.

Finally reaching the top, I cautiously peek over the edge to see what's causing the commotion. And there, the sight before me is both peculiar and intriguing. I see a "lady," rather overweight, wielding an iron mace atop the head of a young boy with a straw hat. Surprisingly, the boy seems unfazed, even confident. "That didn't hurt," he remarks casually, as if the mace is merely a minor inconvenience to him. "Cause I'm made of rubber," he adds, leaving me puzzled yet strangely intrigued by this mysterious boy.

Intrigued by the unexpected encounter, I decide to observe a bit longer, trying to figure out the dynamics at play. The lady's aggression and the boy's calm demeanor seem to be at odds with each other. Who are these people, and what is their story? My mind races with questions as I watch this peculiar scene unfold before me, wondering if there's more to this encounter than meets the eye.

"You've gotta be kidding me!" one of the lackeys on the back yelled, his mouth wide open in disbelief. The others around him couldn't help but react the same way, creating a chain reaction of astonishment. And honestly, I couldn't blame them—I was just as surprised. I mean, a man made out of rubber? That sounds completely preposterous!

As the boy with the rubber body made his move, I watched in amazement. His arm swung back in a way I had never seen before, showcasing the unique properties of his rubbery physique. It was as if he wanted to prove to everyone that he truly was made of rubber. "Gum Gum!" he yelled enthusiastically as his arm extended forward at incredible speeds. The force behind his attack was mind-boggling.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Pistol!" His fist crashed against the circular head of the woman, and I could feel the sheer power and speed of his strike even from where I stood. The impact sent the woman flying backward, stunned by the unexpected strength of the boy.

"H-his arm stretched like rubber," one of the men in the back stammered, his voice filled with disbelief. He stood there, staring at his captain, mouth wide open in shock.

"Captain!" another crew member shouted, rushing towards her to check if she was still alive after the intense battle. He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed – their captain being defeated by this mysterious boy.

"He beat Lady Alvida!" the third crew member exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement and fear. "He's not human!!" he continued, shaking his head in disbelief.

The boy, seemingly unaffected by the commotion he caused, raised his voice to drive home the point of his victory. He pointed at the crew members, his determined gaze evident by the slight glare he gave off. "Give Koby a dinghy!" he demanded, his confidence unwavering. "He's gonna join the navy!" He declared, as if sealing the young man's fate with his proclamation.

Amidst the crewmembers' tense expressions, a swift consensus is reached as each one of them, echoing in unison, replies, "Y-yessir," their trepidation palpable, evident through the rhythmic beads of sweat trickling down their faces. The young lad wearing the straw hat chuckles light-heartedly, brushing off the gravity of the situation, while the Koby kid, brimming with emotion, sheds tears of profound gratitude.

Mesmerized by the unfolding spectacle, I decide to step forward, keen to assert my presence amidst this riveting scene of astonishment and anticipation. My feet carry me closer to the dynamic duo, and my amazement can't help but spill over in admiration, "Wow, how truly impressive!" I exclaim, my voice filled with genuine wonder. Eager to delve deeper into the enigma of their extraordinary abilities, I inquire further, "Pray, do tell me how you managed to achieve such a fantastical feat." My astonishment continues to emanate as I express my genuine curiosity.

Turning his gaze towards me, the straw hat boy, brimming with an inquisitive glint in his eyes, acknowledges my sudden presence. The other lad, visibly trembling and taken aback by my unexpected appearance, finds himself startled at the sight of a new observer in the midst of their enthralling demonstration.

Unperturbed by the anxious atmosphere around them, the straw hat boy responds with a playful grin, "Shishishi, that's because I ate the Gum Gum Fruit," he announces, and to illustrate his claim, he effortlessly stretches his cheek to showcase the astounding powers bestowed upon him by the mystical fruit.

"Gum Gum Fruit?" I said incredulously, my tone clearly expressing disbelief. "So you're telling me that by eating a fruit, you gained all these incredible powers?" I shook my head, finding it hard to fathom that such abilities could come from something as simple as a fruit. "I mean, seriously, a fruit gave you all that? It's hard to believe."

"I don't believe it," I asserted, feeling certain that there must be some sort of catch to it all. "There's got to be some downside or limitation to these powers. It can't be that straightforward."

And then, he mentioned the price he paid for consuming the Gum Gum Fruit - losing the ability to swim. "Ah, there we go," I said, nodding knowingly. "I knew there had to be something." It seemed too good to be true, and his revelation confirmed my suspicions.

"Shishishi! I'm Monkey D Luffy! What's your name?" his friendly tone caught me off guard. I paused for a moment, realizing that I couldn't remember my own name due to my memory loss. "My name, huh?" I repeated, speaking more to myself than to Luffy. "I don't know," I confessed, truthfully revealing my current predicament. The question lingered in my head, and it was frustrating not to have an answer. Koby, the boy who found himself in this strange situation alongside me, looked at me with confusion, seemingly unable to grasp the idea of not knowing one's own name.

"How do you not know your own name?" Koby asked, his own curiosity piqued. "Were you not given one?" he inquired, trying to make sense of the situation. It was evident that my memory loss was posing quite the mystery for both of us.

"I have no recollection of my past, and it's as if I woke up one day with a blank slate. I don't even know where I am from or if I have any family members."

As I share my story, Koby's facial expression changes, reflecting his confusion and concern for my situation. On the other hand, Luffy appears intrigued, his eyes shining with curiosity and perhaps a hint of amusement. "I've never met anyone who has lost their memories before," Koby remarks, his emotions in stark contrast to Luffy's.

Luffy, seemingly undeterred by the gravity of my situation, proposes a solution with a carefree smile. "How about this, join my crew, and I'll help you get your memories back!" he says, almost as if he's offering me an adventurous quest.

The mention of joining his crew catches me off guard, and I can't help but question his intentions. "You said your name was Monkey D Luffy, right?" I clarify, trying to grasp the situation. "You want me to join your crew? Like a cruise crew or something?"

Luffy corrects my misunderstanding, and his response leaves me astounded. "No, I want you to join my pirate crew," he declares with unwavering determination. "I'm going to be the king of the pirates!" His ambition is palpable, and I find myself speechless, processing the unexpected offer.

"Huh?" I stammer, surprised by the audacity of his proposition. The idea of joining a pirate crew and embarking on a quest to regain my memories sounds both daunting and thrilling. It's as if fate has thrown me into an extraordinary tale of pirates, kings, and memories.
