The waves crash against the sand as hidden shells become uncovered to cover up another. Small crabs chasing the receding waves only reach the waters only to be sent back to land upside down with a loud crash. There, the purple hair of a girl in her early twenties is soaking wet tangled with seaweed as she lay sprawled on the ground covered in wet sand. With every crashing wave, her hair gets swept along with it ready to be taken away.
The sun had begun to climb the horizon, disturbing her slumber only to present her with one of the worst hangovers in her life. The college student is hit with intense smell of salt that eventually caused her to barf all over her favorite Jean jacket and black joggers combining a pool of colors that should never be seen to lead a healthy life.
The waves’ slight tug on her hair and body quietly trying to drag her out to sea fail as she struggled to sit up straight without falling over. All evidence of her throwing up disappear little by little as the sea crashed around her. Even the acidic smell from her breath was covered up by the string stench of salt in the air.
She sat around until night finally came to her senses. She couldn’t resist no longer. She was still a bit drunk. The sea was calling for her and the allure of the dangerous beauty of the uncharted was irresistible. Without another second to waste, step after step, she ran after the the sea. Luckily a man was passing by and witnessed her stagger in and chased after her into the sea.
As she went deeper, suddenly a lantern appeared in her hand as it brightly showed the way. It was as if she was in a dream. She was under water at night but now she could see as clear as day. Even her outfit changed to a flowing black dress that allowed her to swim easily. Swimming deeper, forgetting to catch a breath, her surroundings didn’t change for hours. There was the occasional tiny fish passed her, but she no longer longed to see a colony of fish or a sea anemone. Her deep craving to see something new from when she was younger bubbled up; to explore the unknown grew in her. Her curiosity pushed all bounds and urged her on. The lantern faded away but she could still see now. But then the shadow of a man appeared before her. Suddenly, she woke up in a new place. She started to panic. As she tried to get up, she fainted again. She woke up in the sea again. She reached up towards the sky but continued to sink. The man tightly wrapped his arms around her and began to swim back towards the surface. As they reached the surface, he ran out of energy but luckily, an early fisher’s boat spotted them and was willing to help them out. They threw out a liferaft out for them and he hung onto dear life tightly until his feet reached solid ground again. He did CPR on her and got the water out of her lungs but she was feverishly cold. She fainted again right after coughing up the water. Thinking about how nice of a person he is, the man in his early thirties sighed and thanked the fisher then left the beach to bring her to his home. He can't have his girl die from neumonía, it'd stay on his concience. He did his best to get the sand out of her hair and keep her warm but she stayed ice cold. Worried about her life he cursed under his breath as he quickly put her in a warm bath with her clothes still on. Her temperature had risen to a healthy level but how is she still asleep? He took the liberty to wash her hair with the shampoo and conditioner his ex left behind along with any sand still sticking on to her not thinking about anything in particular. He had a little sister in his home country so he was used to doing things for his little sister like this. The lady really reminded him of his frail little sister still living in his home county.

The man had recently broken up with his girlfriend but most her things were still here. Out of an assortment of clothes mostly composed of uncomfortable dresses, he picked out a pair of comfortable joggers and a baggy white t-shirt and left them next to her with a note. Checking the time, he was gonna be late for his work so he double checked her vitals quickly and left her on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her with a note explaining her situation -where she was and that she could raid the fridge if she wanted and that the hot tub was ready if she wanted that. If she had any questions he left his number at the end of the note.
