Kaint shifted uncomfortably in his sit as the teacher droned on about Curses and Blessings. He had just started school today at the tender age of six. Both of his mothers made sure he was well prepared for everything school could throw at him. Except other people. He could not wrap his mind around the concept of going to school when his mothers were far more qualified to be teaching him anything and he did not quite understand the need to interact with those so far below him. Just look at the lot, with their weak bloodline and lacking dragonic features. The only decent one was the teacher. He at least had dragon fangs and the slit eyes of the higher class.
“Ahem! Mr Macello, care to summarise what I’ve said so far?” The teacher seemed to have noticed his absentminded staring. He mentally ran through what he learnt from his mothers. Curses and Blessings were a result of the old humans’ fusion with magical beasts. The fusion lead to a bloodline stronger than regular humans but not as strong as the magical beast he fused with. Instead the bloodline was filled with magical runes that were mostly dormant. Curses and Blessings were the active runes which were either packets of instincts and emotions of previous dragons and humans or the talents and affinities previous holders of the bloodline had. For some reason Curses and Blessings awoke in pairs, but the main difference was that Curses would wear off with time, while Blessings only grew stronger.
Another thing was that the new humans inherited the strict bloodline hierarchy of the magic beasts, leading to humans with the bloodlines of stronger beasts having the same aura as the beasts. There were also other disadvantages Blessings had and advantages Curses had, but that was for another day.

“No,” he replied nonchalantly, but inwardly he thought to himself, how dare this low class creature speak to his superiors with such a tone. If only he could fell this arrogant creature, but he had promised his family he would not hurt anyone. Well at least projecting some aura would not be considered harming right? The teacher’s face paled, realising who he was speaking to as the wave of aura hit him. Kaint frowned as the students around the teacher paled as well, before they started hyperventilating and frothing. He wished he had better control of his aura.
Naturally school was dismissed early and Kaint was lead to the principal’s office where he waited for his father. Meanwhile, he studied the features of the principal. The principal had black slit eyes and brown horns along with black scale covered legs. After a couple of minutes, his father showed up.
“Gabriel, you know this is exactly why I said not to send your son to school right?” The principal remarked upon Gabriel’s arrival. “Yah, I don’t think my sons ready to go to school yet. We’ll wait till he’s older,” Gabriel reluctantly admitted. “I believe you should consider waiting for him to turn 12 before sending him to that new school they plan to open. He would be part of the first batch,” the principal recommended. “The one all four kingdoms are building?” Gabriel asked. “Yes, I think it would do him good to interact with those of higher standing,” the principal added. “Alright,” Gabriel replied.
Kaint was not to sure about how to feel about all this, but he was happy he had six more years before he had to face school again.
