Stella POV
Our mission is to steal three new mobile suits in Armory One. Sting and Aule seem to be excited about the mission. I’m scared, I don’t want to die, but it can’t be helped. Neo ordered us. If we are successful, he’ll praise me and I love it when Neo praises me.
We managed to get into the hangar with the spies' information. There were many people guarding the mobile suits but I killed them all along with Sting and Aule. I piloted one of the mobile suits and its name was Gaia.
“Destroy the hangars first! They’ll be coming with mobile suits.”
“Stella! You take the left.”
“Okay.”
I heard Sting give orders, and I followed them. The Gaia’s performance was even better than the intel given to us. Just like in our training, I piloted it skillfully and destroyed any mobile suit I saw. While I was doing my mission. I saw a weird Zaku. I thought it was a nobody and shot it, but it dodged my attack and managed to counter me. I was surprised and thought the pilot was good. I wanted to finish it off, but he just would not go down. I got frustrated, and it was not helping when another one appeared to get in the way. It was a red and white Gundam. I fought it, but it was tough. No matter how much I attack it. It would not go down. I wanted it destroyed. I refuse to lose to him. Aule joined in, and we thought we would finally destroy it. The weird Zaku came in and saved it. Auel managed to bring down the Zaku, but another two Zaku came in, which were white and red, and it annoyed me to no end. Why can’t they just be destroyed!?
“Let’s retreat! Stella! Can you lose him?”
I heard Sting ordered a retreat, but I did not want to. “I’ll destroy him in no time!”
I attacked the red and white Gundam, but it still wouldn’t go down. “I can’t give in to this guy!”
“Stella! Stop it! We need to retreat!”
“Stop it, Sting. She will just hafta die here!”
Die? Me? Die?
“Auel!”
“I’ll give Neo a message on your behalf. “I’ll tell 'em you said, ‘Goodbye’!”
I froze. I didn’t want to die. “Die… I… Goodbye…”
I held myself for comfort, but it did nothing to my trembling body.
“Auel! Why did you say that!”
“She wouldn’t stop! I had no choice!”
“Shut up, fool! That was uncalled for!”
“No!” I was about to run when a large hole opened in the ceiling of the colony. I saw something that would haunt me my whole life. A large creature suddenly came in through the hole, and it landed in front of us. It did not look like a mobile suit, but a monster I thought would only appear in dreams. It towered over us and looked down on us as if we were prey.
“RAAAGGGGGHHHHH”
“Wh-What is that! Hey, Sting I did not hear something like this will appear!”
“I don’t know! It created a hole for us! We should hurry up and retreat! Stella! Let’s go!”
“O-Okay…”
We tried to leave through the hole, but the monster stopped us. It breathed flames toward us, and we barely moved out of the way on time.
“Damnit! This thing is also trying to stop us!” Sting cursed.
“What should we do!? We can’t leave with this thing blocking us! My machine is low on power!” Aule panicked, not knowing what to do.
“Tch, we have no choice. We need to defeat it, at least immobilize it long enough to escape.”
“Are you crazy!? Look at that thing we can’t defeat it with the amount of power we have left!”
“The new model is also here. I’m sure they realize this is no time to fight with each other. Aule! Stella! Attack it!”
“Mou! This is crazy!”
“Y-Yes.”
I followed Sting’s commands. He has a point we would not be able to leave until we defeat this thing. I’m scared, I want to run away but can’t or else I’ll die! We, the red and white Gundam, and the two Zakus made a silent agreement to fight this monster.
We fired beams at the monster, but it only managed to slightly burn its skin and make it angry. It spewed out flames at us, and we all managed to dodge, but one of the red Zaku’s arms got burned off. The new model charged in and swung down its sword on the monster's head. It managed to cut through the monster's skin and make it bleed a little. The monster then flapped its wings, creating strong gusts of wind that even the Gundams could not resist. The winds sent us hurtling toward the ground.
“Aule! Stella! Are you okay!”
“No problem! But Sting, I’m on my last leg over here! One more of that attack, and the Abyss won’t be able to take it!”
We’re going to die! We can’t beat it! I held my shivering body and pleaded for anyone to save me. Neo! Please save me! “Anyone… please. Save me…”
As if answering my prayers, a blue light so bright we had to cover our eyes emerged. I strained my eyes to see what it was. In the light, I saw galaxies with sparkling stars. The light formed into a humanoid giant and landed on the ground, kicking up dirt. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen.
“How beautiful…”

End POV
When the bright light dimmed down, Haru noticed he was high up in the air. “Too high! Eh?”
His first instinct was to grab hold on to something, but he realized he was not falling. He looked down and saw he was standing.
“I’m standing? What!? What happened to my body!?”
His body was not red and silver, with crystals on his arms, legs, chest, and head. “I look like the one in the card… Did I become Ultraman?”
He then noticed he was a giant and could see the entire base. “Everyone is looking at me… It is embarrassing…”
“RAAAAAGGGGGHHHH”
He then turned his attention to Chandlar and saw that it was angry at him, like an animal being protective of its territory. Chandlar roared at Haru and charged at him.
“W-W-Wait time out!”
Chandlar kicks Haru in the stomach and then bites his shoulder. “Ugh!”
His teeth sunk into Haru's flesh but did not break the skin. The pain was unbearable, like being bitten by a wolf. Haru wasn’t used to this kind of pain and rarely got into a fight.
“Let go of me!” Haru kicks away Chandlar sending him quite a distance. Haru was surprised by his newfound strength.
“Did I do that?”
|Ultramen possess a remarkable defense mechanism known as Ultra Armor, which is a natural protective layer formed by harnessing Spacium energy. This formidable defense shield enables them to withstand a wide range of attacks. Additionally, Ginga's crystals located on its forehead, shoulders, forearms, chest, and shins serve as conduits for manipulating Plasma Energy, granting Ginga exceptional control over this powerful force.|
Chandlar gets up and is angry that Haru defied it, so it spews fireballs at Haru in retaliation. Unable to react fast enough, Haru gets hit in his chest and falls down, crashing into a hangar.
“That did not hurt as much as I thought it would be.”
He picks up a nearby vehicle with one hand. The vehicle weighed a few tonnes but on his hand. It felt like he was playing with a plastic toy car.
“The buildings and road seemed all soft. It's like I’m playing in sand.”
“RAAAAAGGGGGHHHH”
Haru gets up and can see Chandlar about to bite him. He grabs its neck and head to stop it. “Grrh!”
He shoves Chandlar aside, narrowly missing him, and delivers a knee to the stomach. Chandlar staggers backward, spotting an opportunity. Haru unleashes a series of punches and kicks.
“RAAAAAGGGGGHHHH”
Chandlar responds by forcefully headbutting Haru, then slamming his tail down on him. The impact of the tail sends Haru sprawling to the ground. “Strong…”
Haru gets up only to see Chandlar fly toward him and kick him with both of its legs. “Agh!” “Gaah!”
Haru gets sent flying from the kick and crashes into a 5 story building. “Ugh… What power…”
“RAAAAAGGGGGHHHH”
Chandlar slowly turns towards the base, where a crowd of people has gathered, seeking shelter near the towering Gundams. Suddenly, flames begin to build in his open mouth, indicating an imminent attack on the base. Panic grips the crowd as they witness this terrifying spectacle. Some people attempt to flee, while others resign themselves to what seems like an inevitable disaster. Meanwhile, Haru, observing the impending threat, is flooded with a rush of memories. Faces of people he knows, his friends, the girl he once rescued, and finally, the image of his own parents all flash before his eyes, heightening the tension of the moment.
“STOP IT!”
In the blink of an eye. Haru moves between the base and Chandlar. Chandlar spews the fireball, and Haru blocks it using his body to protect everyone behind him. He falls to one knee and gazes determinedly at Chandlar.
“RAAAAAGGGGGHHHH”
Haru clenches his fist and feels a surge of emotions. “You will no longer hurt anyone! I promise to stop you! I won’t lose!”
*Insert Ultraman Ginga OST: Ginga No Uta*
Haru rose to his feet, a sensation of unimaginable power surging through him, as if in response to his sheer will. His crystal shone intensely, infusing him with incredible energy. “Taah!”
Haru charges towards Chandlar, his footsteps stirring up clouds of dirt. With a mighty effort, he seizes Chandlar and forcefully shoves him away. Then, using all his strength, he executes a powerful shoulder throw, sending Chandlar hurtling through the air. Chandlar crashes down violently, shattering the ground and sending dirt flying everywhere.
Chandlar rises to his feet as Haru leaps into the air, delivering a high-flying kick toward him. Chandlar stumbles from the impact as Haru unleashes a flurry of powerful punches, chops, and kicks. Stepping back, Haru's right arm begins to glow with immense power, culminating in a devastating straight punch to Chandlar's abdomen, sending him hurtling through the air.
Chandlar senses danger from Haru and decide to take flight. With powerful flaps of its wings, it ascends gracefully into the sky. “You’re not getting away!”
Haru lunged after Chandlar, leaping towards him and reaching out, his fingers just grazing Chandlar's feet as he soared through the air. Haru braced himself for a fall, but to his surprise, he remained suspended in mid-air.
“I’m flying? I’m flying!”
Haru's heart races with exhilaration as he realizes he has the power of flight. Spotting Chandlar trying to escape, Haru takes off in hot pursuit, leaving a trail of sonic booms in his wake. Chandlar panics and unleashes a wall of flames, but Haru skillfully dodges the onslaught, closing in on his target. With lightning speed, Haru seizes Chandlar and unleashes a flurry of kicks and chops, throwing Chandlar off balance. Then, with a powerful kick, Haru sends Chandlar hurtling to the ground in a dramatic crash.
“How do I stop him…” Haru felt something beating inside him again and saw flashes of images. “I see… I got it!”
Haru descended to the ground and spotted Chandlar in a state of daze and weakness. With a determined look, Haru crossed his arms over his chest and then released them to his sides. His crystals blazed with a brilliant yellow light, pulsing with incredible power. Raising one arm toward the sky, bolts of electricity crackled and surged around him. In an instant, dark thunder clouds gathered above Haru, swirling into a vortex of wind and electric energy. Then, a stunning galaxy-shaped disk crackling with electricity materialized above Haru's hand.
“GINGA THUNDERBOLT”
Haru hurls the disk at Chandlar, making a direct hit and sending it airborne. The surge of electricity courses through Chandlar, causing severe damage to his skin and internal organs. Suddenly, with a burst of energy, Chandlar is engulfed in flames and meets a fiery demise.
*End OST*
Upon seeing that Chandlar has passed away, Haru feels a sense of relief and peace. “It’s done…”
A black orb from Chandlar's body flew toward Haru and entered the blue orb in his chest. “What is this?”
Haru inspects the black orb. It looked quite sinister when it suddenly started cracking. The orb breaks and reveals another card similar to Ultraman Ginga, but it is a Kaiju card, and Chandlar is on it. “A new card?”
*Beep, Beep, Beep*
Haru heard a beeping sound and looked down to his chest to see the usual blue light flashing red. “What is this?”
|Color Timer: Found on almost every Ultra, the Color Timer or Warning Light is an important organ for the Ultras, which is used to measure their remaining energy. Most Ultra Warriors are fitted with a Color Timer or some variation of which serves an equivalent purpose.|
“This doesn’t sound good. Is it a warning or something?” Haru is trying to figure out what flashing red signifies.
As he tried to figure out what to do, he watched the stolen Gundams escape through the hole Chandlar had created. Although Haru wanted to go after them, something inside him told him not to. Suddenly, his body began to glow and started to disappear. When he opened his eyes, he saw that he had returned to his human form.
“I’m back… That was a strange experience.”
He looked at the UltraRiser and the two cards he got. “Ultraman huh…”
Haru decided to put it off his mind for now and hurried back to the base. When he got back, everyone was healing the injured and putting out fires, but there didn’t seem to be any more attacks.
”Hey! Haru! You’re safe!”
Haru sees Yolan running toward him in the distance. “Yolan! You’re safe too.”
“Yeah, it is great to see you are alright.”
“How about everyone?” Haru asked.
“They are all in the Minerva.”
“Really? I was also about to go there when the attack happened.”
“Then let’s go. It seems the Minerva is about to be deployed. We need to get there before it leaves us.”
“The Minerva is deploying!? Why?”
“There is a battleship outside the colony. They might be the same ones who stole the Gundams. The higher-ups want to get them back so they are sending the Minerva to capture them.”
“I see…”
“Then let’s go before we’re late.”
“Yes!”
