Chapter 10: First contact.

The first thing Mark did when he left the village was to set the seal of the guiding star. Surprisingly, making the image was no more difficult than just thinking, the process was easy and smooth.

"It's strange if everything is so where is my success notification"

"Oh really, seeing the history of notifications, Mark could only exclaim mentally"

- You should be careful, I seem to be too lucky. Maybe there won't be a next time.

Slowly walking towards the forest, which is visible almost from the very exit from the village, Mark began to count the steps, trying to measure the distance.

Standing at the entrance to the forest, Mark distinctly heard many small rustlings.

Deciding not to risk it, he picked up a small stone and threw it at the nearest bush from which there was the most noise.

A second later, a rabbit flew out of the bush like lightning at Mark, seemingly nothing special, until you see bloody eyes and teeth that glittered coldly in the light.

At that moment, all instincts screamed at once, and Mark somersaulted to the right, moments later he heard a whistle and the sound of tearing grass in the place where he had previously stood.

Now the rabbit was standing there, he slowly got up, turning his head from a slight concussion.

After seeing the opportunity for Mark making a quick punch, the next thing that happened was the most eerie. The short sword did not take off the head, but stuck in the bones of the rabbit, from this the monster roared in pain that dulled most of the instincts, leaving only rage.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Having jumped on Mark, the rabbit miscalculated the directions due to the sword in his throat and hit the nearest tree, aggravating the wound. This was his end, slowly sliding down the tree leaving his mark in the forest.

This was the second lesson that Mark received from life, there is no epicness in death, only a survivor. Previously intoxicated with his own story, he hoped to create the drive that he imagined when creating a story, but reality never takes into account other people's plans.

A couple of seconds after death, a gray fog began to flow from the corpse, in a second it covered the distance to Mark and entered his chest, this gave a refreshing and very warm feeling throughout the body.

As previously mentioned, the world of "Dwarn" is a dimension where you can get power by killing, and today Mark took the first step towards finding it.

Pulling the sword from the rabbit's neck with difficulty, Mark was finally able to see it in full size, and not a flying shadow. He was a little over a meter tall (from paws to ears) and when trying to lift him, he felt a weight of at least 30 kilograms. Only from the fact that he picked up this carcass, Mark's back hurt.

"The time has come to see a gift rated 10/10."

"Hunger"

Right before his eyes, Mark began to feel how heat and pain began to spread throughout his body, It was an insane feeling. For better or worse, it only lasted a couple of seconds. Ashes could now be seen in Mark's hands, and a small green core. The light from it was dim, and the size was no more than half the nail of the little finger, but the very fact of this horrified Mark.

"So that's why he was so strong, he ended up at rank one when I was at zero"

"Status"

---

Name: Mark Plan

Spark: Blood

Strength: 3 → 5

Agility: 4 → 8

Intelligence: 10

Manno: 0

---

"Wonderful"

"It's like an enhanced Blood Companion skill from the Avenger class"

"Now, I should set a goal to bring my strength and agility to ten, and challenge myself to overcome the sub-rank, as well as find the first rank beast with a blood core. Oh, what a pain that when moving to the next rank, you always need a core to a rank higher, I'm already silent about the sub-rank, where you have to constantly challenge yourself to overcome your limits. Of course there are stimulants, but their effect is only half of the previous option.

"Ugh looks like it's going to be a long day"
