When Taylor Hawkins and her new, unwanted, partner, Ryan Stone, begin their investigation of a child abduction, she intends to simply solve the case and end their association with each other, as quickly as possible. However, everything changes when a notorious serial killer suddenly re-appears, plunging both of them into a dangerous game that many agents have already lost in the past. As Hawkins and Stone struggle to find a sadistic killer who has proved themself untouchable for decades, and save their own lives in the process, they come to find that the danger runs much deeper than anyone had suspected.
