Sorry there hasn't been a new chapter for a while. Real life has been keeping me pretty busy lately, but that isn't necessarily why there has been no new chapter.
I have decided to rewrite the story. I already typed out a general outline of about 90% of the new story, but I will need to dive deeper into the outline for the first arc/volume 1, and get in those details. I will most likely be dropping the "Days of Reincarnation" subtitle for the overall story, instead, using it only as the subtitle for volume 1/first arc. In fact, I am actually contemplating whether or not, Lyliss should be a reincarnated person in this rewrite. To be honest, reincarnation effects the overall plot very little, perhaps it will be kept in to add some contrast in ethics/policies/perspective/etc.. between Iesvetta (name of the world), and our world.
As far as technical aspects go, I plan to look into some style guides, and research effective world building and character development. At this point, tone is undecided, but I have already written out a chapter that follows the other main character (was yet to be introduced in the previous incarnation of the story, but she is in the story description) and it's pretty dark. I am leaning towards a 3rd person PoV for the rewrite.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
To be a bit more specific about what to expect from the first arc:
* I plan for the first arc to actually cover Lyliss' childhood (no crazy time skips this time).
* Falcrest has been changed to be a port town (not like you could tell it wasn't before XD).
* I plan to make impending war a background element for the story.
* Like in the first version of the story, of the four grand noble houses, the Dunivere will be in the spotlight, but I plan to detail the Ashlett a little bit, at least enough for you guys to get a sense of their ideology.
* And more......
I do hope to be writing regularly by the end of next month, but who knows... I will put out another update when things are more finalized. Until then, stay well.
