Tutoring

I twist in my bed, sleeping soundly, completely drained from the training I did in the mountains at night.

Bang.

My bedroom door fling open.

“I have a surprise for you!!!” Ava says as she leans on top of me, her large boobs pressing against my chest.

“Ehh… What is it?” I say lazily as I yawn, I was still extremely drained from yesterday’s training.

“You would have to go down and ask your father if you want to know.” Mom said with a wink, mother was hyper as always.

I got out of bed and followed mother down to the living room.

Click. Click. Click. Click.

Me and mom walk.

Father in the living room, sitting on a one-man sofa reading the newspaper, looking serious as always.

Father was mostly a man of few words, and today was not different.

Mom and I take the seats facing father. The silence between me and father was tense, while mom was jolly as ever.

Finally father broke the silence, “I have heard from your mother that you have been sneaking around to the mountains to practice magic.” His voice was stern, to a point where it was kind of frightening.

Shit. I’m about to get scolded, ain’t I?

Father continued, “There is no need for you to sneak around anymore, I have hired a magic tutor for you, she should be coming soon.”

Ehhh? Wait what? I thought I was going to get scolded. My dad hired me as a magic tutor? And it's a “she”? Images of beautiful tutors from the animes I have watched flood my mind, from elves to demons to humans. Wait, wouldn’t there also be a chance that she's… the picture of a muscular gorilla like woman come into my mind.

Aghhh… No way dad would torture me like that, would he? I shake the thought away.

I went outside and sat on the stairs of the front door, staring, waiting, excited for the tutor isekai life I once so longed for and am truly about to experience.

15 minutes…

30 minutes…

1 hour…

2 hours…

Snoring… Aghh!

Well, that was a long time waiting, Aghhh, I thought dad said she was coming soon.

Clank. Clank. Clank. Clank.

Is that her? A carriage, pulled by a raptor, came towards the mansion.

I stared excitedly, it's finally about to happen, I’m officially learning magic!

The carriage stopped in front of the mansion, as a young green haired girl wearing a dark green robe and hood walked out, she held a long wooden staff with a large purple orb on the top. Looking closely, the girl kind of has the characteristics of an elf, for example, her ears, although they aren’t long, they are pointy at the tip.

I wasn’t expecting my tutor to be a teen, she looks like she’s around 15.

“Oh, you must be Felt.” A voice behind me spoke out, I turned around, “Mother?!” I was surprised, mother was there the whole time, I didn’t even notice.

At this point in time, my ability to detect magic is already at a point where not many can dodge my sight, to think mother has the ability to suppress her aura enough to dodge my notice. I shiver, I knew mother was a potent magic user, sensing her mana was much stronger than any of the people nearby, but I never knew her control over mana was this strong. It's kind of frightening to think about.

“Oh you must be Mrs Hashino, where is young master Hashino?” Felt replies as she looks around the garden.

Guess it's rare to see someone as young as me to get a magic tutor… Sigh… I guess we are both suprised.

“Here!”

Felt looks down, spotting me on the stairs, “Oh…” She sounds disappointed.

“So? Shall we start?” Felt continues.

//

Felt had a head of green hair, cut short above her shoulder with a long braid hanging from her left shoulder. Her eyes were lazy as if she was half asleep. Her dark green robe covered her ears.

I stand next to Felt in the middle of the garden, “Let's start by testing your mana capacity and output first.” Felt says as she hands me a clear stone, “Focus your mana into your hands and flow it all into the crystal.”

Wouldn’t the stone break if I put all of my mana in? I guess I’ll just follow the instructions. I shrugged off the thought.

I held the crystal tightly and began focusing all my mana, forcing it into the crystal. The crystal began glowing, first green, then blue, then purple, then red… The crystal glowed brightly as the mana leaked out from it.

“No way… How is anyone allowed so much mana…” Felt voice shook as she blankly stared down at the glowing crystal in my hand, now black.

Crack. Crack.

“THROW IT AWAY, THE CRYSTAL!”

Crack.

“THROW IT!”

I throw the crystal into the sky.

Boom.

An overwhelming amount of mana explodes into the air.

The impact of the explosion pushes Felt away, crashing into a tree, “Ow…”

The tree snaps in two.

FELT

Felt opens her eyes again, her vision is blurry, all she sees is a small figure.

The figure is Jin, holding his hand out, a glowing magic circle with runes.

“elementary level healing… Is that elementary level healing?”

“Yes master.” Jin replies.

“No way…”

“Master should rest for a bit.”

Felt in her room, lies on her bed, her face smothered into the pillow.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

How is such a small child so strong… elementary healing at four… Breaking a magic crystal.

Nyan…! Nyannnn… Sounds of pleasure came from the room next door.

Quite a lot has happened today… I’m teaching a genius child… huh?

“Guess I should relieve some stress…” Felt thinks in her mind as she puts her hand under her dress.

JIN

That was quite the day, wasn’t it? I stretch on my bed.

Was the crystal breaking supposed to happen? Master Felt sure was quite shocked when she saw it happen, maybe it's just not common for children.

Ahhh… No need to overthink this, I can just ask master Felt.

I get out of my bed. The door creaks as I slowly open it.

Nyannnn! Nyan… Sigh… mom and dad sure are having a good time, why did I die a virgin… I’m jealous. I guess a sneak peek wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Let me quickly explain the layout of the second floor of the mansion before continuing.

The configuration goes as follow: Felt’s room (guest room) > Ava and Julian’s bedroom (master bedroom) > My bedroom > Piano room > maid bedroom 1 > maid bedroom 2 > Lily’s bedroom (maid bedroom 3)

Now I have that out of the way.

I walk over to the nyannyan noises coming from the master bedroom. Sigh… This seems so wrong, what if I get caught. I guess I can easily get away with it, I’m a four year old child that doesn’t know anything, or so I look like one…

It’s already late at night, close to midnight, none of the maids should be awake at this hour, so why is there light at the end of the corridor?

They sure look like they are going at it, the yelping and moaning just don’t stop, I guess I can expect a little brother or sister sooner rather than later.

Shake. Shake, I shouldn’t be peeking at my parents anyways, might as well investigate the light at the end of the hallway.

I walked towards the light, the light wasn’t bright, like a dying flame. As I walked closer…

Mmmmmm… Mmmmm…

A mysterious noise came out of the room, don't tell me the mansion is haunted.

I slowly creaked open the door, opening a tiny slit to peek inside.

Inside was Felt… Hmmm, how should I phrase this… Touching herself to the sounds of pleasure from the room next door? Her hand under her skirt with movements that I won’t bother to describe.

This feels illegal to watch, I guess she's at the age where she does this sort of stuff, she looks like a teenager after all… BUT that still doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel illegal to watch… It's like the things you see in the unspeakable ecchi animes.

I shouldn’t disturb her, I’ll just ask the question tomorrow.

//

Within a blink of an eye 4 months have passed, I have perfected most elementary level magic and am currently moving onto intermediate.

Felt is a great teacher, her style of teaching doesn’t fit the era. A lot of interactive learning, it's not what you are thinking. Practicing spells in the field as she explains the logic behind said spell is one of the most common practices for her.

She goes through information quickly, skipping part of the textbook she deems unnecessary, for example the whole 90 pages of beginner magic. Her fast style of teaching is quite hard to catch up at first, but with her patient teaching and repeating I caught up.

Within the four months we have been together the curriculum is already half finished.

I was just sitting at my desk, doing my research.

Since I learned all the elementary level spells, I began doing research trying to find ways to more effectively hone my magic. It's quite fun, you see, solving problems, at least it's fun for me, it's kind of like chemistry playing around with the incantation and images instead of chemical substances.

This would be a good time to explain what I am researching, ‘Arieus’ the reconstruction spell, this spell destroys the matter onto a atomic level then rearranges it, this can change the form from solid to liquid, switch up the atomic configuration changing the element, kinda of overpowered not gonna lie.

Knock. Knock.

The noise came from my bedroom door, I looked over from my desk as it happened.

“Jin, it's me, Felt. Can I come in?”

My guard was quickly lowered as I heard teacher Felt’s voice.

The door slides open as a young green hair girl in a robe walks in. She goes towards my bed, sitting on it. With a loud sigh Felts body relaxes and loosens up, flopping on my bed.

“Hey… Jin… What are you doing…” Felt lazily says as she glanced over at my desk, where I sit, extremely focused.

“Uhhhh… Nothing.” I swiftly reply with a jolt, quickly trying to hide my research.

Before my hand even got to the drawers, Felts hand already blocked the path, holding onto the pieces of paper which is my research.

Snatching them from my hands, Felt analysed the handwriting on the paper, “Huh? What language is this? Are these incantations for advanced level manipulation magic?!” Felt exclaimed as she read through my papers, some written in japanese and some written in the language they use here, whatever its called. Her expression clearly showed her astonishment.

Calming down she places the papers back on my desktop, her finger pointing at a line in the incantation. “This part should be smoother to focus on the flow of the chant.”

Eh? Is Felt giving me advice? Well… that’s unexpected. Felt was always helpful, commonly seen to help along with the housework, using her magic to assist the mansion’s maids even if she's not required to do so.

“Hey… Uhh… Jin, if you want, I could give you extra lessons at night to further your knowledge on higher level magic, not required in the curriculum.”

Huh? Is she asking to help me with my research? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from someone who knows this stuff. Beaming with excitement I quickly agreed to the extra lessons. “Yes, I would love to.”

FELT

Recently Jin has been growing exponentially faster than before. I don’t know the reason, but it seems like he figured something out. If he continues growing this quickly I’m afraid I wouldn’t have anything to teach him soon.

Today at around 3 am in the morning, I went to the bathroom, when I walked back down the hallway. I saw something peculiar, a light coming from the slit of Jin’s bedroom door, it wasn’t a bright light, just a smothering flame from a candle.

No one should be awake at this time in the night, especially not a 5 year old child. My brain went over multiple different answers for the light, maybe he was scared of the dark?

I wanted to know more. As I walked closer and closer to Jin’s room, an interesting noise sounded from inside, a scratching sound, not of skin, but of something else.

Hmm? He should be awake then, I wonder what he’s doing, what's all that scratching sound.

I knocked.

The scratching paused.

It was definitely him making the noise.

I knock once again, “Jin, it’s me, Felt, can I come in?

The lock clicked, Jin unlocked the door, I opened it and went inside his room, his room was quite the show, it was the polar opposite of what a child’s room should look like, there weren’t any toys scattered around, I mean there weren’t any toys at all, like there is one I guess but I don’t think I would classify that as a toy, a battered wooden doll, used for practicing combat stood in the corner of his room.

This wasn’t the only odd part of his room, his bedroom doesn’t seem like a bedroom at all, looking closely it looks more to be a study than anything, shelves on the walls stacked book atop of books, there were at least a few hundred i’d say.

Is he really a five year old?

I laid down on Jin’s bed, I glanced back looking at Jin, he was extremely focused on something, the scratching sound of pen on parchment continued, what could he be doing?

Aren't kids around this age supposed to be running around the field, playing around with toys and having fun?

I was getting continuously interested in what Jin was doing. I stood up and walked towards Jin’s desk where he sat. As I approached Jin seemed to be trying to hide the pieces of parchment, I quickly slipped my hand in his path and took the pieces of parchment.

What could he be so focused on and would have to hide from people, could it be something sexual? Something ecchi? I unfolded the papers, in it was thousands upon thousands of words, and there was a language in there which I wasn’t familiar with.

I read through the papers, ‘Invision final object, focus on splitting up the matter into smaller particles to switch places.’

Are these notes on the advanced spell, ‘Arieus’?

You are truly different, aren’t you… Jin?

JIN

A few nights after I started taking night lessons, “Hey, master Felt, why is there so little utility magic?” I asked abruptly, the question was completely random, out of the blue. I tend to do this quite often, I guess it's sort of a habit of children my age.

“You see, magic was originally made for combat, in the past the three gods Chronos, Nitris and Arnos created the world and along with it came knowledge, knowing the world would drive into chaos if it isn't controlled they gave the gift of magic to six legendary heroes, known today as the seven eyes of god. They ruled over the kingdom, using their magic against the rebels stopping them before it leads to chaos. Slowly as the heroes grow older, they have children and their children have children, the gift is passed down through the bloodline. Although the magic has been spread out not everyone has access to it, that's why devices and equipment have been made for utilities which are easily accessed by the major population, which then lead to the halting of development in utility magic.” Felt explained to me throughly even if my question is random.

“Wow. I never knew there is so much history behind all of this, Master Felt, tell me more about the world.” Actually I’m quite interested about this world, never leaving the outskirts of the countryside, I was an outsider. Even in the library there weren’t any books about the world map, I was completely blank in terms of geography.

“There are 8 continents and lots of countries and kingdoms…”

So, to summarise real quick is that the world is huge, way bigger than Earth. I didn’t travel a lot in my past life, I have only been to a couple of countries. To be honest I did not have a grasp on how big Earth was, It just seemed like this world is much bigger. There are a total of 8 continents: North and South Ether, Litith, Geno, Wavende, Center, Hydran, and Jothum. We currently reside in the Midgard kingdom within the Litith continent, on the outskirts of Eastland. My father Julian was a high class noble, to be specific the duke of Eastland. That was the jist of what Felt told me, there was much more about the other kingdoms, but I’ll leave that stuff to when I need it.

After that we continued all night long… That came out wrong, it's more like we continued talking about magic theory all night long. Ha, got you there, didn’t I.
