Chapter 2 - Introduction

Kara just glares at the chemist for a moment, while the latter grins like an idiot. "...Just what are you grinning about? We're lost. We don't know where we are, we don't even know what world we're in... We could just die, and it'd be that goddess's mista-" The chemist interrupts the panicking valkyrie. "Hey. Quit it. Isn't it more fun to just run around, neither of us knowing what's going on, and having to figure things out? It's all about exploration! Discovery! Experimentation!"

The valkyrie just stays silent. Completely flabbergasted. "I mean, wouldn't it just be boring to have you be a tour guide? It's more fun if we learn everything ourselves, isn't it?" Kara has no reply for this. Or rather, not for a moment. "...Are you insane?" "Out of the 10 professionals that I've consulted on the subject, the one that got out alright said that I am, yeah."

...

The valkyrie only accepts that she has quite the headache ahead of her, and sighs. "Well, if we're in this together, we should at least know who we're working with." The valkyrie caves, starting to look around the forest they've found themselves in, all while the chemist next to her thinks over how to respond.

"Hm... Well, if you want an introduction... I'm Lavender Wisteria, but you can call me Lav-" "I won't." "And I'm a chemist from Earth." The chemist doesn't comment on the interruption, only stopping to elaborate more. "I suppose you can think of a chemist as... something similar to an alchemist." She clarifies, starting to walk between a pair of trees to explore the forest, forcing the armor-clad valkyrie to follow along. "...That explanation... does help, I suppose. So, you mix natural elements without the use of magic?" The chemist once more stops to ponder what to say next. The valkyrie takes note of this. "That's a good description. We don't have magic at all, though, in my world. I'm going to guess that you do?" Seems like it's her turn, now. Kara clears her throat. "That would be true. I'm Kara, one of the Valkyries of Asgard. I mainly operated in Midgard, however, and so Frigg decided that I would be the best one to guide you along. That job would be much simpler, if not for her mistake here, however." The valkyrie scoffs, finishing this.

"Not too much of a fan of your boss, then?" The chemist continues to question, mainly to pass the time while she looks for a suitable place for shelter here. Her associate replies rather quickly, "She's... Well intentioned, and kind. It's just that sometimes, she doesn't do her job very well, you could say." She sighs. It all aligns with what Lavender's seen so far. After a bit, she stops, looking around. One place particularly stands out to her: A couple trees, in close enough proximity that a lean-to could be set up. "Looks like we've got our shelter for the night." Kara nods. "I assume we'll need to gather sticks, and the like?" Lav only nods back.

But, while they were looking for materials, something makes itself known in Lavender's head.
