Nyx woke up after a long day of gaming and streaming. He was also tired. He watched One Piece with his mom last night. They only made it to episode 20 before they slept. He loved the show though and loved Luffy as a character. Never give up your dreams even in the face of death he could respect that. He looked at the time he woke up, which was 9 am in the morning. That means he had about an hour and a half to wash up and meet Rose in the game.

He smelled his mother cooking breakfast downstairs. He heard the dogs moving around the house. He finally got up and went to wash up and get ready for the day. He wanted to at least take a shower since he did not get the chance last night. Even though the pod had cleaning features, he was still going to take a shower. As he got his clothes and turned the water on he heard his mom yelling from downstairs.”Nyx! Make sure to come downstairs for breakfast before you even think about playing the game.”

His mom always noticed that he would forget to eat or skip breakfast if he was excited about something. Which was a very bad habit he needed to fix, but I mean can you blame him? Today, he felt excited to start levelling up and doing quests. He was aiming to rank up today and then tonight he can make some for Rose and him on their date tomorrow. The developers are scheduling maintenance for the game anyway to fix some bugs.

20 minutes later after showering, he felt as good as new and not grimey or icky at all. He smelled breakfast downstairs as he got out of the shower. He appreciated that his mom always made time for him even though she had her own company and ranch to take care of. His mom was smart with time and also hired people to do a lot of work for her as well. Also, you can do anything on your phone if you have enough money.

He walked downstairs and his mom was there with an apron on making a lot of breakfast as usual. She even made smoothies as we both have a sweet tooth and need something sweet but healthy. He always loved hot food with a cold sweet drink. There were hashbrowns with eggs and bacon. There was also his favourite strawberry cheesecake pancakes. They always tasted amazing.

“So son, what do you plan on doing today? On stream, you mentioned doing quests with Rose today in your new game. Are you going to do anything else after that? After all, Rose was telling me all about your first date is going to be on Monday. So make sure to plan out the date tonight to make it special and also make sure to use protection!”

Nyx rolled his eyes as his mom was asking so many questions about his love life. She was really happy at the idea of Rose being her future daughter in law as she saw Rose as her daughter already. His mom was always worried about his well-being, which was nice. But, she got too out of hand and overprotective. "Well, Mom, we don’t plan on doing any of that on our first date. It is too soon for that. Also, I plan on playing the game with Rose for a few hours and then planning on making some food for our picnic tomorrow. She wanted to be with the wolves tomorrow so we are not doing anything crazy. We may go get some ice cream at a nearby place but something nice and simple for our first date.”

His mother then got up fast and ran towards her bedroom. A few minutes later he saw her with a picnic basket and a blanket that she set on the counter. He looked with a deadpan as his mom started to whisper. She was talking about making food and getting Tupperware for the picnic. “Um Mom, I was going to try and make food. You don’t need to make food for our date. I am not that bad of a cook and I know how to make Rose’s favorite foods.”

“Sweetie, I have been waiting for years for this moment where I can help you on your first date. I dreamed of the moment that I could see my little boy have his first date. Now it is with someone who I consider my daughter this date has to be perfect. You can help me make the dish when you finish the game. But, I am going to get the ingredients and make this the perfect date ever!” She looked at him. Her look said that if he said no he was gonna get slapped.

He sighed and nodded his head. She started making a list leaving her breakfast on the table. He stole some of her hashbrowns and bacon for revenge. She did take her smoothie, though. She started to make a list and looked in the fridge for things she needed. She was speaking about making sandwiches and tacos. Also Rose’s favorite apple pie with some vanilla ice cream to go with it. Which was also his favorite as well so he was just going to let her do her thing. Less work for him to do after he gets off the game.

"Well Mom, after I get off the game we can cook together. I guess you'll get some ingredients or even start cooking without me on some dishes. Thank you for the help with our date. I appreciate it.” He looked at his mom, who was still looking in the cabinets with a smile. His mom gave him a thumbs up behind her as she was too busy looking into the cabinets and fridge.

He just rolled his eyes and finished his breakfast and went upstairs to hop onto the game. As he was about to hop on, he decided to look at his computer. He wanted to check how many followers he had on YouTube and Twitch. If he had enough he could try and get money from his streams if he had reached a certain amount. He looked at his YouTube account. He already had reached an amazing 2 million subscribers. His Twitch reached a 2 million follower count. He was going to let his mother and her lawyer team look at contracts. The contracts were for Twitch and other companies he will stream on.

He logged off his computer and sent a text to his mom about the issue of his accounts. She already talked about making some merch last night each time he gets a summon. Apparently, people really liked Snow a lot and wanted a plushie of her already. His mom already made some clips that could be made into a video that watched the main parts of the stream. It was already number one on trending and most of the comments were about Snow. He smiled and got into his VR pod as he thought about Snow waiting on him. He was going back into the world of endless adventure and wonders.
