Chapter 3 The failed assassination.
My name is Douma, the black-winged of silence. The one who slaughtered hundreds with a knife. Child of the Scarlet king himself. Now Reduced to kill a mere baby. Sure I'm not exactly the most powerful out of my siblings but still, however, I can't deny father's order, after we'd traveled thousands of miles, there was nothing in sight. It was only us and the baby. I readied my knife preparing to strike down but, there was an energy construct that blocked the attack that the baby made.
Pathetic attempt to save your life, baby. I thought as I pushed the knife through the barrier.
The construct shattered into millions of pieces as my blade came closer to him.
Mc Pov
Shit, I'm going to die! Damn it! What am I going to do!? Maybe a Pillar to create distance between us? It's worth the shot, at least.
Before the knife reached me, I'd created a long pillar, pushing him and me in opposite directions which created a vast distance between me and him.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
How can I put him down? I got it!
I raised my hand towards the sky, controlling the energy within the pillar with intense clarity. This energy, it's overflowing with great power!
I stood up Smirking with confidence, knowing that I stood a chance of repelling him, I prepared to cast my spell and, with a simple wave.
Multiple projectiles appeared one by one ranging from toothpicks to the Bagh Nakh all aiming towards him.
Take this, you bastard!! I yelled out.
Projectiles launching one after another shooting towards the wizard. He quickly disappeared dodging all the attacks sent towards him.
Where is he? He couldn't be in the range of attacks otherwise he would've been hit.
I panicked wondering where he went until I heard something.
You're done for. He whispered void of any mercy.
Shit! I thought.
I launched hundreds of projectiles only an inch between us wounding him greatly as he lost his balance. I shot a pillar towards knocking him down. I lean down looking only to see him drifting through the clouds eventually disappearing from my sight.
I sit back on the bird, afraid of falling. I only had one thought.
This journey will be a long one and, Knowing the SCP multiverse, a tough and ruthless one.
