Sitting on a small ridge with the blistering sun hanging over head. With a fishing rod in hand, sat what looked to be a green eyed man with specs of white in his beard and hair wearing sweat pant and a tee. Behind him was a tall women. Blond hair, blue eyes, wearing a long white shirt despite the apparent heat with black tight pants. Arms crossed underneath her rather large chest with a irritated look in her eye. Waiting for something.
The man smiled and then said “Thru out the years, whenever I have looked back on my life. I have always realized something different. For many years, I thought to myself. You know what? Maybe I am better off dead. And I have come so close to making that thought a reality. Sometimes, at the beginning of the month I would look at the full bottles of medication, thinking to myself IF I just mix them all together down them all and drown them in a bottle of whisky… I don’t think I would wake up. And by god I’ve come So so close.
But I never did and till this day. For the life of me, I can’t tell if it was because I was afraid of waking up, or if it was just because I was, too afraid to die.
Years later I would look back and see all that I did before, but I tried to look past it. Look past the dark, the sad, the lonely and depressing moments. And find the happy things. No matter how short or how fleeting they were. Because I realized long ago. The bad will always over shadow the good and sometimes it will get hard to remember the good moments. Be it one of your happiest memory, or a joke a friend made, that caused you to laugh so hard you ended up on the floor out of breath feeling like you are going to piss yourself, it will be so hard to remember in dark times. It’s those moments tho I try so hard to remember, no matter how small. Because without them… I honestly don’t think I would be here today. The small things in life aren’t what makes life worth living, but they sure helped me get thru some tough times.”
The women tapping her foot says in an irritated with a slight stern undertone in her voice says “You have still not answered my question, who exactly are you? Why did you only show yourself now? And more than anything else why show yourself now?”
“And I don’t know what you are talking about? I did not show myself to you. We just happened upon each other, I did not expect to meet you and you did not expect to meet me.”
With venom in her word the women spits out “And you expect me to believe that? In this world with teleporters, mind readers, flyers and so So many more we just happen to meet? Like hell we did.” The women stomps here foot shaking the entire ridge and causing vibrations into the water.
“Believe what you want, I don’t really care. All I know is that you spoiled my fishing so I am going home. If you want your answers you will have to follow me now because I promise you won’t be able to find me tomorrow.”
As the man slowly reels in his fishing line and packs up his tackle the women gives him a death glare. The man stands up with everything packed and starts walking away towards a path leading into the woods. Still giving him the glare the women feet lift off the ground and float behind him.
After walking about 30 in silence they arrive in a parking lot filled with a few cars. With a group of parents with their 2 kids in one corner packing up there minivan and in another two couples getting onto their bikes. Once the man and women arrive in the parking lot the floating women quickly attracts everybody attention. The first to notice was the two kids who weren’t really focusing on anything. The second they see the women tho they start pointing there figures. Yelling for their mother and father to look

This causes everybody other than the man to focus on her. The couple in the corner pull out there phone and presumably start videotaping or taking pictures of here. With the parents quickly maker them children quite bucklers them up and then throw everything into their car and start burning rubber to get out of the parking lot. Leaving tracks behind them.
The man arrives at an old 2 door raven black colored car that has seen better days. Pulls a pair of keys out of his pockets unlocks the door and gets in. he then yells out.
“Are you just going to stand outside floating behind me, giving me that death stare? Or are you going to get in? you are already attracting enough attention as it is.”
The women looks thru the car window asking. “you drive a car?”
“humph. Not all people are like you and can fly or run at super speeds, and besides I prefer driving over anything else. Feels normal to me. Now you can get or you can fly away. Don’t care which. also you hurt this car I hurt you. ” the man turns the car keys. Turning the engine on.
The passenger door is opened gently then slammed shut. The women looks over at the man seeing his face covered in a pitch black mask that reflected no light. “are you that worried of people discovering you identity? There are soon going to be people and new reporters all over this place looking for me.
“were I live at I know nobody will ever think too they will find you there. And also I got to ask. I know I told you to follow me to my place and told you to get into my car. But… as you have said, you and your people know nothing about me. All you know is that you presumly got into a strangers car. Who you know nothing about. I presume that you sent a massage to somebody about your whereabouts. But in all honestly you don’t know if I could easily overpower you and do whatever I wanted to you long before anybody arrived or not.”
The women now with a slight trace of worry in her eye looks over with a clenched jaw and says “you saved us all before. I am taking a leap of faith and trusting you, if this is all just a sick ploy I walked into then I deserve whatever might come. But don’t think I won’t put up one hell of a fight no matter what you might do.”
After saying this an awkward silence over comes them till the man turns onto a very rough dirt road. With every bump they hit the women clenches the door holder a bit harder. Finally when they come to a stop in front of a rickety old RV. The man steps out from the car saying “welp this is my home. Honestly been a really long time since I had any guest so excuse me for the mess. If you want you can take the time to alert your people on where you are at. ” The man walks toward the door
the women steps out from the car. Looking everything over. A look of utter confusion is now written on her face. While looking everything over she notices the car color is not black but actually a quite apparent midnight blue. Looking around at the lands. She notices several burn marks on the ground. She puts a finger over a ring on her finger, for a few seconds and stands there before stepping towards the RV.
Once she steps up the steps and the moment she enters. She notices the distinct difference in tempters between the outside and inside the RV with it being much cooler even with no apparent window open or AC on. The counters inside are for the most part clean with some junk here and there. But no trash in sight.
The man is standing in front of the kitchen counter in front of her. Taking this out of the covert above. There is thing of ground beef beside him. He turns around and says “go on take a seat. I can start telling the story while cooking.”
And so she sat down at the small table. Waiting for him to start telling him this story.
