Telling One

Telling One

Samantha saw Liam talking with a group of other guys. She didn't know where Noah was. Liam and Noah were twins. Samantha had a way she could tell them apart due to their unique mannerisms and physical characteristics. Liam had a particular way he stood, always with his weight shifted to one side, one hand in his pocket while the other did the gesturing. He was the more outgoing and charismatic of the two, always seeming to hold the attention of everyone around him, commanding the room with his presence and charm.  His hair was also a little longer in the back than Noah's, who was more reserved,  preferring to keep to himself and observe from afar.

She waited a bit but when she realized that they weren't going to finish the conversation anytime soon she approached.

The group was deep in conversation, their voices raised and their faces animated.

"Liam." She came behind and close to him. He turned to her immediately, his eyes shining with warmth. If it was one thing with the twins, was that they never ignored her. Whatever they were doing, they would put it aside to give her all their attention. Now was no different.

Liam's intense gaze met hers. That was the next thing. They both had this intense way about them. Sometimes it overwhelmed her.

Samantha blushed when the conversation the guys were having stopped and all eyes were on her which made her feel self-conscious. She hated being the center of attention. Liam noticed this and gave her a reassuring smile.

"I need to talk to you."

Liam nods, his expression becoming serious and concerned as he sees the look on her face. "Guys I got to go. We'll talk later." They touched knuckles and he took Samantha's hand and pulls her aside so they're out of earshot of the others. "What's wrong?"

"Not here." She looked at his friends again.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Liam understood she wanted privacy and led her to an empty class room where they could talk without being overheard. He turns to face her, his expression still serious. "Better?"

She nodded.

Liam leaned against the wall, pulling her to him,"Dimples, tell me." That was their nickname for her. He could tell something was wrong. She looked upset, had a worried expression, was wringing her hands. Something was definitely wrong.

"I didn't do it deliberately." She pleaded with him. "I would never do something like this to you guys." Her eyes teared up. "My mother is going to kill me if she finds out." Her hands covered her face and she started crying.

Liam's heart aches when he sees her crying. He couldn't stand to see her in such a vulnerable state. He hugged her tight, stroking her hair gently. "It's okay, it's okay. Just tell me and we'll sort things out. It can't be that bad."

"I'm pregnant!!"

Liam froze, his body going completely still. His grip on her loosening slightly, as he pulled back to look at her face. His eyes were wide with shock and disbelief. He can't believe what she just said. "Are you sure?"

"It's two months. I haven't seen my period. I did a pregnancy test. It's positive."

His breath catches in his throat, his heart pounded in his chest. He couldn't even find the words to respond. He just stared at her, his expression a mix of shock and confusion. "We used protection and the pill later on."

"I don't know what happened." Samantha started crying again.

Liam pulled her close again, wrapping his arms around her tightly. He held her close and stroked her hair, trying to comfort her. He didn't know what to say, but he could feel the weight of the situation on his shoulders. He knew this was a huge deal, and he didn't want her to feel alone in this. "We'll figure it out. Let's leave, go to our place. My parent's are on a trip. We'll have more privacy there. Come on." He led her out to the car while he called Noah. "Yeah bro."

She listened to him on the phone.

"We have a situation with Dimples. We'll be home in less than 25 minutes. Okay. See you there."

They drove in silence, both of them deep in their thoughts. Liam's mind was racing with the weight of the situation. He was still trying to process the fact that she was pregnant, and he can't help but feel overwhelmed.  He glances over at Samantha, who was sitting quietly in the passenger's seat. Her face was pale and her eyes were red from crying. He reached over and took her hand, squeezing it gently.

When they got to his house, Noah was already there waiting for them on the front porch. His expression was somber, his eyes filled with concern. He hugged Samantha. "Dimples, what's wrong?"

Samantha clung to Noah, her tears starting to flow again. She buried her face in his chest, her body shaking with sobs. She couldn't seem to find the words to tell him. Liam watched from the side, feeling helpless and worried.

The exact copy of Liam stared at her with concern, wiping at her tears. Looking at his brother questioningly.

"What did you do?" Noah asked his brother.

Liam stared back at his brother, his expression hardening. He took a deep breath and tried to remain calm."Why do you always assume the wrong thing? I didn't do anything. We did something." Liam made a circle with his hand referring to them.
