I have some huge spells but they were from watching two monsters fight from far away. It was so cool! The explosions almost gave me a chub. Not gonna lie.
I was eating breakfast as my dad came up to me. “Hey son. Listen we can’t teach you anything else and the monsters here are way too strong for you to fight. Sadly all those types of monsters are near towns and well, you see, your mom and I can’t go near them.”
I knew that but what I didn’t understand was why they didn’t just go finish the mission. “Dad how about we go finish the mission you never completed. Then we could move to the city! I mean haven't you passed the requirements for the quest?”
He ponders for a moment. “Babe! Get in here!” I hear rapid pounding as my mom comes running in. I could barely stay on my chair as the ground shakes.
“What? Are you ok? Is Odin hurt? What is it?” She asked frantically.
“No. I’m sorry but Odin brought up a great point.” He said while soothing her. Which was hilarious watching such a small man rub a giantesses shin.
“Ok tell me. I’m calm now.” She sighed.
“Odin reminded me that we are well past the requirements for the quest. Look at it. We could even take him with us! It would be a great family outing. Then we can move back to the city and provide him with a great school and better life.” Dad cast child guilt spell.
“Well it would be better for him. The quest marker isn’t that far either. I suppose we should. Especially for our son.” Spell was godly effective!
“Yes! I'll go grab my things. Put our stuff into your inventory honey and then we can go.” Dad said as he practically jumped for joy.
The next hour was a whirlwind of commotion as mom and dad equipped their best armor. Mom then packed literally everything into her inventory. I don't even want to fathom what her strength was. Then again she is a GIANT! Even with everything packed up mom was able to carry us on her shoulders as we headed west through the forest we were in.
According to them it would take us five hours to reach our destination. I decided that it would be a good time to take a nap.
I was shaken awake by my dad. “Hey son were here. Jus sit on this rock and wait for us. If it takes longer than an hour head north. In a couple days you will reach a town. Here is some gold just in case.”
I nod slightly as I take the bag of gold he handed me. I won’t even open it. I can’t because they have to come back and take the gold and me to the city.
As my dad leaves I’m just sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Soon I heard my mother's yell and crashing as stuff started to get destroyed. I figure now is a good time to talk to Alex if I can.
[What ya want? I’m busy.]
I just wanna know if any more people joined the game and if all the NPC’s are AI as well.
[Ah. First question is no second is yes. We done?]
I mean sure I guess. Kinda bored right now. Sorry.
[That’s fine. We can talk later. Oh and don’t forget to chose a God or Goddess when you can. Super helpful.]
Well that went about as well as I could have hoped. He is still a little crazy though, or he could just be at a whore house in game. No one knows.
After about fifteen more minutes my mom and dad came back. Smiles lit their faces as they walked up to me. Dad was on mom’s shoulder and he looked like a child that got a bag full of candies.

“Well Odin were done here! Shoulda done this ages ago! Haha! Come and hop on, it’s time to head out to the city.” My dad shouted.
I hop onto my mom's shoulder and we head out. She stomped through the forest and it took us thirty minutes to come out of it. It probably would have taken me a good three hours to traverse what she crushed under her colossal feet.
A large prairie was in front of us and if you looked closely you could see a castle in the distance. Mom was traveling at probably twenty miles an hour, long legs. Thanks to mom’s super speed the outline of the city came out more and more.
The city wasn’t much to look at. Typical medieval one story and two story homes. Some places were mansions and some places were just rundown shacks. What really standed out was the castle.
It was magnificent. Think old school castle in a round formation but three times the size from history. The towers seemed to touch the heavens as they soared upwards.
I could now faintly hear the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We passed a lot of horned bunnies on the way up to the gates. I could hear my dad shout out to me. “Those are the starting creatures that you will have to fight. Easy to kill and give a decent amount of experience.”
I just nodded my head. We were at the city gates now so I focused on the guard that blocked my mom.
“Halt giant! I remember you. Have you completed the quest so you can come back to normal society?” He asked.
My mom nodded her head. “Yes Sebastian. Sadly our parties were killed so my husband and I needed to grow stronger first. We also had a son! Meet Odin.”
He studied me closely. “Well met Odin. it is rare that we get half breeds here and rarer to have a dwarf and giant! Be good and don’t make any trouble here.”
“Yes sir.” I replied.
“Now off with ya. Don’t forget to stop by the Adventurers guild to turn in your quest.” he said as he waved us past.
“Mom. How did he know about your quest?” this was a new concept to me. Normally quests were only known by the quest giver and the taker.
“Some quests are world wide quests. Those are for everyone to see so that they can know if you are trust worthy and all that.” She replied in a sage like voice.
Dad and I hopped down off of mom’s shoulders as we headed to the guild so they could turn in their quest. We walked for about thirty minutes down the main road before we got to a giant friendly building that had a large sign on it the read ‘Adventurer's Guild’ in bright red paint.
Inside the building was a front desk in the middle of an open room. An extremely cute Elf stood at the front desk. Everywhere else was a bunch of tables and one wall had a poster board on it with a ton of sheets of paper.
We walked up to the receptionist. And were greeted with a warm smile. “What can I do for you?” She asked in a sing song voice.
“We are just turning in a quest. Then we need to buy a house that is giant friendly. If you have any suggestions we would love it.” My dad said.
“Certainly! First just press your thumbs to the scanner. Great! Your ranks have been updated and the gold has been transfered to your accounts. Sadly I see that many of your company died so we will send their cuts to the surviving family members.”
“Thank you so much. Now about the house issue.” My mom replied.
“Ah yes well. You see we actually have a mansion that is up for sale. The guild master bought it to try and get into the house flipping business. Sadly she failed horribly and now no one wants it. She reworked it to accommodate all races and that puts a lot of the smaller sized races off. If you want I can take you up and introduce you?”
“Perfect!” My dad boomed. “We need to talk to the guild master anyways.”
“Oh really? May I ask why?” The receptionist asked.
“Sorry but not right now. You will probably find out in the near future though.” My mom said.
The receptionist lets out a sigh and leads us up a flight of stairs. There was only one flight of stairs but the building looked to be multiple stories tall because it was outfitted for all races. At the top of the stairs was another open layout area anin in the dead centre sat a well aged woman. She was going through paperwork on her desk and only looked up for a brief second.
There were multiple chairs around the outside of the room that were designed for different races. The receptionist grabbed one large one for mom. One with a step stool for dad, cuz he's vertically challenged and a regular one for me. Soon I would need a large one though. I was already pushing six feet. I wonder when I will be full grown.
[Seven years old.]
You always pop up at random times. So weird.
[Am not.]
I am not starting this childish shit. They are talking about the house right now!
[Spoiler alert! Your parents are rich and you get the house. But pay attention to the next bit. Bye.]
“Awesome! Thank you for buying the house! You and your son will love it.” the guild master finished.
“No thank you. We have one more thing to discuss though.” My mom replied.
“Oh really and what would that be?” She asked.
My dad seemed to be sitting out of this completely. Probably because he had a step ladder on his chair. “My son is special.” My mom said cryptically.
“Well yea. He’s half dwarf and half giant. Of course he’s special.” She replied.
“Odin can you show her your status?” My mom asked me.
“Why should I?” I replied.
The guild master turned to me. “I swear by the Gods and Goddess above that I will not divulge anything you don't want me to.” She reassured me.
I heard a ding as a Window popped up.
A heaven binding contract has been activated! Breaking this contract will cause severe pain then death.
I showed her my status since that would be the best reassurance I would ever get that someone wouldn’t betray me.
“Your stats are amazing! Did you train them the hard way?” She looked at my mom then dad. “Of course you did. No one does that anymore! Oh well. Wait. What the fuck is this?” She turned to my mom with a look of utter shock on her face.
“You know what this means right?” My mom asked.
“He needs the best teachers possible. Mages preferably.” She started to get into it.
“No. Not just mages.” I interjected.
“What? Why?” She asked.
“I want to be a warrior as well.” I replied smugly. I gave the look of not budging. I won't let someone else dictate my life.
It seemed like she could see the fire in my eyes. That or maybe it was because my mom was nodding in agreement. I’m gonna go with fire in my eyes.
“Fine. We will have to get you a good mentor. I have just the person.” She replied with a wicked smile on her face. “You will also go to a magic academy until you are seven. By then you will be an official adult. Other than your mentor and magical teacher you shouldn’t tell anyone about this. Now go to your new home. I assume that you will want to increase your strength so here is a beginners quest to slay some bunnies.”
With that we left the guild. I did stop by the reception desk and registered as an adventurer. All I had to do was press my thumb to a scanner and it recorded everything down. It was all confidential so that was good.
Once outside we decided to head to a restaurant and get some food. After asking around we found a nice little place called the Giant Sizzle. They specialized in grilled foods and were giant friendly, hence the name.
Once inside we were given the option of having the food brought to a table like a normal place or having a table with a fire in the middle of it. We chose the latter. As we sat down a waitress, who was a deep green orc asked us what we wanted to eat. I had read about a robust animal called a Hafgufa that was a giant whale with the flesh akin to a nice steak. I ordered that.
It was expensive but my parents assured me that it was fine. As we waited for the food to arrive we heard a loud voice coming from the front. “What do you mean our table is taken? Who the fuck do you think I am? Move them and I won’t have to destroy this place.”
The hostess seemed to be frantic as she tried to figure out what to do. The manager had even come out and was trying to calm the man down. He wouldn’t have it though and ended up coming over to our table.
“Get out of here! That’s my table and you aren't welcome here you stone gnome and you thunderfoot!” He shouted at my parents.
I guess he forgot about me and since my parents were too stunned to speak I got up. I knew he was using racial slurs for my parents and it lit a fire in my belly. “You should take that back.” I growled.
My voice sounded like boulders falling down a mountain. Full of danger and hate. :Fuck that you inbred piece of shit.”
I cocked back my arm and punched him square in the jaw. I guess he wasn’t that strong because I heard an audible snap come from him as he flew five feet away and crashed into a table. His thug friends got up in my face and tried to fight me as well.
After a few more well placed punches they were all knocked out on the ground. Some had broken jaws while others had cracked ribs. The manager apologized profusely over the commotion and gave us our meal for free.
As we ate our meal in peace my mom scolded me. “You shouldn’t go and start fights like that honey. They were only level ten and your stats make them childsplay for you.”
My dad however couldn’t be happier. “What do ya mean? He did great. Solid hits I must say and he even defended our honor. Couldn’t ask for a better son!” He clapped me on the back.
‘Well yes that was nice but try not to do it again. At the very least make sure you don’t start the fight!” Mom said.
“I will.” I assured her.
Once we were done with the food we left a decent tip for the waitress and headed to our new home. It was situated in the centre of the city and was very lavish looking. It was made out of all brick and had a large yard surrounding it. At least fifty feet tall and once we were inside I realized that it was only two stories tall.
I was too tired from the day so I decided to head to bed. The house was furnished so I just went upstairs and claimed a bedroom as my own. As soon as my head hit the pillow i was out.
