“MOM JAMES KEEPS MESSING UP MY ROOM” Eve screamed in an annoyed tone. “No EVE WAS ANNOYING ME AND TRIPPED OVER HER MOVING BOXES MOM” screamed James trying to make it sound like he was the victim. Samantha, the oldest, most responsible child came in and said in the most know it all tone of voice ever “Eve , I know that James may be annoying but you can’t blame him for your mistakes. We all know you're clumsy. It's ok just repack the boxes and mom won’t be mad.” Eves face got red in anger as she screamed “THIS TIME IT'S NOT MY FAULT OK I’L GO REPACK THE STUPID BOXS BUT NEXT TIME”………………..She stoped mid sentece trying to come up with words to say but just as she came up with the words to say “pft” she heard a laugh she turned around to see her brother james was laughing at her for not knowing what to say she opened her mouth to take a deep breath and screamed “GO AWAY JAMES GO AWAY NOW”.”Ya ya I’ll be going now”. Said James in a calm tone of voice imitating samantha. Later that day it was time to pack up the car and get going. “I already said goodbye to everyone. That means I have no excuse to stay here now”.Eve thought to herself. As she got into the car she knew she had on last mission sitting on the window seat; it was like her form of revenge against her brother. Since she sat in the car first she had first dibs. It was the rule so she went straight to the window seat with no regrets and made herself comfortable. After a few minutes her brother opened the car door and saw her sitting. That meant he had the middle seat because the family rule is first one has first dibs, second sits in the middle and third sits in what's left or the last window seat in this case. Of course this was Eve's plan all along to make her brother uncomfortable the whole car ride. But he said nothing, he just sat in the middle seat and said nothing.”HE SAID NOTHING NOTHING AT ALL HE JUST SAT IN HIS LEAST FAVORITE SEAT WHAT”. Eve screams internally.But she was not the only one that was shocked Samantha opened the car door and dropped her know it all act and asked “is james ok you didn't do anything to him did you “

“No he just walked in the car and sat without saying anything”.Eve expressed with great confusion. “Oh well maybe he’s just in a mood he’ll snap out of it soon”. Samantha said, putting her smart face back on. But the whole move James didn’t say a word. But when they arrived at the city he said something: “why am I in the middle seat? Where are we”? James said in a puzzled tone.”Sweety you were asleep the whole move and the girls said that you sat there yourself too”. James said in a puzzled tone “what but I don’t remember sitting there” “well you did“Samantha said”.Ok kids that's enough I'm sure James is just half asleep you guys should get out of the car and check out our new apartment it looks very lovely” .said mother.``Ya we should go I bet it looks lovely” Eve exclaimed. When they arrived at the apartment they saw a dark black tall building that looked like it was from the Victorian era but ghoth theme.It seemed to be a home to rats and other animals. It looked almost completely abandoned with only a small light on the 4th floor turned on. Samantha said in a surprised tone ``Mom we are not really living here right…………………...Mom responded in an exciting tone “Yes we are what do you think honey. The light blue walls and those windows are my favorite part. What about you”? “Mom, the house is black and the windows are broken. What are you saying”?Eve said, confused. Honey, are you ok.They house is beautiful what are you saying.Wait maybe you're hungry you haven't eaten in 5 hours so that must be the case.”‘Dad, do you hear what mom’s saying? Tell her she's wrong.”Samatha said without hesitation. “Samantha, are you ok listen I think you guys need some sleep let's grab a bite and stay in a hotel till our stuff arrives”.Dad said in a comforting voice.“Ok Eve said in a reluctant tone”.They went to eat and arrived at a beautiful hotel but even after a nice meal and a warm bath the three children could not get over their parents' odd behavior. 

                            Chapter 2 Morning 

The next morning the children woke up to an odd noise. It was a song no more like a melody; the melody had a happy tune. It put everyone in a happy mood even though they had just been woken up by speakers against their will.The children got up to find that their parents were already awake, they got dressed and their parents took them to the hotel's cafeteria.The cafeteria looked beautiful the floors were a sparkling white and all the tables looked like they were in a league of their own it smelled heavenly like a bunch of delicious breakfast food but better.They sat on there comfy chairs and ordered their food.When there food arrived it looked so good and as the were about to take the first bite James exclaimed “THIS FOOD IS BOMB MOM””James we do not scream at the table and mind your manners”.Mom said with a strict tone. “But he's not wrong,” Eve said, shoving waffles in her face.”Mom Eve and James are embarrassing me everyone's staring at us because of them”Samantha said “Ok everyone will mind there manners and those who don’t have to stay with us in the hotel room and won’t get to explore ok”Dad said trying to get us to behave. “Ok” we all said at the same time. After breakfast there dad gave them some money and told them to explore and have some fun.As they were leaving the hotel they saw some kids that looked about their age.There was a boy that had black puffy hair that covered his eyes and light pale skin that seemed like it had never been touched by sunlight with a girl that had the same puffy black hair but it was in braids her skin wasn't as pale as the boy next to her and she had light brown eyes.They seemed like brother and sister and Eve being Eve went to say hello Samatha followed with James behind her.As they approached them Eve said “hello my names Eve what's your name”Um my name is Arlo and my sisters name is Lorelei”Arlo said quietly”.Nice my name is Eve the girl behind me is Samantha and the boy behind her is James”. Eve said “nice to meet you guys”.Arlo said “nice to meet you too” Eve said “How old are you”. Samantha said, popping out from behind Eve.”Um I’m 13 and Lorelei’s 10 what about you”.Arlo said “I’m 12 in a half James is 11 and Samantha is 14”Eve said.As they continued to talk they noticed that they had a lot in common including the apartments Lorelei and Arlos parents thought that the apartment they were moving into was beautiful and clean and nice overall but in reality it was dirty and broken and it was ugly on top of that.Both sets of siblings noticed their parents acting weird they also noticed they were getting hungry so they brushed off their parents acting weird again and went to the nearest convenience store.

                    Chapter 3 Meeting Josh

They found the nearest convenience store and walked in to buy something with the money their parents had given them.As they walked in their eyes were drawn to the potato chips .It was like love at first sight for Eve.Once they had chosen their chips they went to pay for them.The cashier was called josh it said so on his name tag he had his brown hair slicked back and he had smudged black eyeshadow with nail the color of the night sky.He was wearing a rock in roll shirt with an old black leather jacket .As the children came closer josh thought “why do I feel something off about one of those children”.As he scanned the there potato chips Lorelei asked “mister why do you have nail polish on” In which he simply responded with “because it's cool” “Ok mister is that also why you have eye makeup on''Lorelei said “Yes exactly” Josh said trying to sound like he didn’t care.As the children were leaving the store Josh said “I have a question has anything weird been happening to you these days”.Samantha Immediately knew that they should not say something to a complete stranger but she could not warn Eve in time for her to say “ya actually weird stuff has been going on” before she could say any more samantha covered Eve's mouth and said “don’t mind her she's just tired”.But josh had already gotten all the information he needed. He said “then you should probably let her rest see you”.he waved goodbye to them and Samantha left dragging Eve by her ear with the potato chips in her hand the others followed out.After they sat down to eat Eve said “what did you do that for”You were giving out information about our private life and you should not tell that to a stranger Eve”.Samantha said As they ate there potato chips Arlo asked “what do you think is going on over there””I think there just having a sibling fight like we do sometimes give them some space”.Lorelei responded 

They ate their potato chips and went back to the hotel. 

                           Chapter 4 Missing 

It was about 4 pm and their parents were out sightseeing so they just sat on the bed and watched tv but after some time they noticed that it was getting late and their parents weren’t back yet they were getting nervous when a man came into the hotel room and said “this is your room service your parents ordered it they also wanted me too tell you that they would be out late today”.Eve recognised that voice right away it was Josh eve said ”Hi josh what are you doing here I thought you worked at a convenience store”. “I have more than one job you know and today Just happened to be the day I work my night shift here”. Samantha didn’t like Josh. She was not in the best mood either but regardless she jumped out of bed, did a quick stretch and went to say hello to Josh but she mainly got out of bed to get her food.She said “hello Josh thank you for bringing our food here's the tip” “Thank you for the tip here’s your food”Josh said in a merry tone Josh set the food down on the table and left the room.They sat down to eat the food it was nice and warm plus it tasted divine. With their full stomachs they showered and went to sleep. The next morning they woke up but still didn’t see their parents so they went over to their bed to see if maybe their parents were still asleep. They were out late last night.So it would be reasonable but those children had their hopes up to high.There was no one on the bed no the bed hadn’t been touched since last night when they were watching tv.There parents had not come back to the hotel that night they immediately called to police but it went straight to voicemail so they tried 911 but no one picked up they were terrified not even Samantha could think straight they went to Arlo and Loreleis room to find them panicking.Eve asked “what's wrong. Our parents haven't come home since yesterday and 911 nor the police are picking up”.Arlo said on the brink of tears “What our parents are missing too what is going on here”.James said in a panicked voice. “What should we do?” Eve said, sounding worried Samantha put her brave face on and said “we should go to the police station where we can file a missing person report”. They all got dressed and started running to the nearest police station according to Samantha's phone.When they got there the police were not taking them seriously but ended up helping them they said “we will file a missing people report and get you guys some temporary home’s oh and maybe some therapy would help too we’ll set it up for you no problem kids”.

“We were told to pack up our things and be out of the hotel by sunset so that we could be taken to our new home with strangers we had never met oh great”. Eve thought.Sunset was approaching and they were done packing it was time to say goodbye to this lovely hotel as they walked out the door a sense of nostalgia hit. They remembered the friends and happy memories they made with their family as they were taken away in a car to their new home.

Chapter 5 New home

When they arrived at their new home there were a couple things to note the ceilings were high and the house smelled like lavender everything looked like it was straight from a  book picture perfect and they could hear a quiet hum coming from the kitchen they were amazed they didn’t know there could be homes like this in the city they thought that there were only rundown ugly old homes in the city.As they stood there amazed staring at the house they heard some footsteps and quickly snapped back to reality they turned to see a tall buff figure with puffy pink hair in a bun and a retro gym outfit.The tall figure opened their mouth and said”hello I’m your new caretaker my name is Grenada Edgell Bottom but you can call me Grandma Ed it nice to meet you”.”Nice to meet you to Grandma Ed”.Samantha said trying to sound like the most polite person ever.”Nice to meet you too”.Said Grandma Ed she looked about 82 and still full of life as she walked towards them and said “now now what are your names you cute little muffins” “I am Samantha my sister name is Eve and my brothers name is James”.Samantha said Well then would you like a tour of the house after all you are going to be living here.”Yes sure that would be lovely”. Samantha Said Grandma Ed gave the tour of the house showing all the big beautiful rooms in all their glory and then she finally came to the room where the children would be staying. It was humongous, full of toys and games with many beautiful dresses and clothes that felt smooth and soft. Each bed looked so beautiful and fit for a queen with each pillows feeling nice and soft.The sheets and blankets felt so soft and smooth they were light as a feather as well. Grandma Ed saw that they were pleased with their room and said “kids I will be making dinner downstairs if you need anything”Ok” they all said simultaneously too engrossed in their new room to even care . When it was time for dinner the kids were already bathed and in there new pjs they had the first home cooked meal in a while and went to sleep in the new amazing beds but still even if they had forgotten that there parents were missing for a while a night all the memories came back and they finally realized the mess they had gotten into.The next day they woke up had a nice breakfast with Grandma Ed and got changed for today was there first counseling session. 

Chapter 6 Counseling

As they were in the car James whispered “I’m nervous” “James were all nervous especially Eve can’t you tell she's biting her fingernails like crazy” Samatha Said As they approached the station the car was dead silent all you could hear was there nervous breathing and the car wheels.When the arrived James and Eve walked out to the car stiff and Samantha followed behind them walking even more stiff as they entered the station.When they were inside a police officer greeted them and said “Nice to meet you children I have some unfortunate news we still haven't found your parents but were trying our best to look for clues and soon you should be back with your family”. “Yes then you for trying your best to be a police officer” Samatha Said in a sad and stiff voice. They interred the counseling room and saw 3 women sitting waiting for them.The first women and the tallest out of the three said hello my name is Bartholomaya nice to meet you she sounded like a mature person.The second on spoke up “my name is Nessarose it is a pleasure to meet your I mean you it's so nice to meet you”. At first glance she looks cool and calm but once she opens her mouth she's a mess. The third and the shortest of them all said “I’m Merwin nice to meet you”. “I’m Samatha, my sister is Eve and my brother is called James Nice to meet you too”.Samatha said trying to sound simpatic.After there counseling session they went back to Grandma Ed's house and Grandma Ed made delicious lunch and dinner and they played in their rooms and outside those days were peaceful and after weeks of doing this they were going back to the police station to see if they had found there parents yet and for another counseling session.This time when they arrived there was no one it was empty they walked to the reception desk in hopes to see someone there and the did but the back of the chair was facing them so they could not see who was sitting on the chair. Eve said “hello, we're here for our counselling session and is there any new news about our parents”. “Yes there is some new news”.The man in the chair said. Samantha recognized his voice right away.The chair turned and the man sitting there was none other than Josh himself.He said “kids I have some bad news your parents……..are dead” he said bluntly They looked at him wide eyed until Samantha said “how do you know you don’t work here”. “Oh but I do”, Josh said pulling out his badge.”Oh and just an fyi I have been keeping tabs on you sense the hotel”. “But how you haven’t seen us sense then” James said “Well you see I had my little spies”.He said 4 people appeared behind him they were Bartholomaya,Nessarose and Merwin but there was one that they didn’t know.”Who is she”.Eve asked She’s Talia she’s my friend who keeps tabs on those 2 friends of yours.”But that still doesn't explain why you know our parents are dead” Samantha said “Well if you come with me then you can see my proof after all your friends were just fine when they saw the proof” Josh said “what is this proof of your Josh and what did you do with Arlo and Loralelei” Eve said sounding mad. “Well come with him and you will see,” Talia said.They followed Josh into a basement where they saw their parents dead bodys next to 2 dead bodys of people they had never seen before.There brains could not process what had just happened they were parlized.Untill Bartholomaya said “look they were killed by monsters and not Josh ok” “What are monsters “Eve said “Well I thought you knew after all you are turning into”,Nessarose said before having her mouth covered by Merwin “what they heck nessarose”Merwin said.

Chapter 7 The Truth

“We're turning into what”Samatha Said “you guys are turning into monsters just like me and one other thing is a monster curse can only be placed upon someone by another monster but in order to become a monster you must be nere that monster for more than a year .” Josh said from behind them. They went into a bigger stage of shock but it was interrupted minutes later by none other than Grandma Ed screaming “Josh how dare you steal my pray I was hoping to have a feast soon.If you wanted to share you could have just asked you know”. “Ed you know that 1 you just blew your cover and 2 they won’t taste good because they're one of us”.Josh said putting his hand on his forehead and giving out an annoyed sigh.”Wait you're saying that I just wasted my money on these useless children”. Ed said “yea and those useless children you’re talking about are right behind me”Josh said. Ed looked behind Josh and her eyes widened as she said “they are one of us. but they’re not fully mature; they would still make a fine meal”. “Josh can I have them pleaseeeeeeeeees I’m really hungry I promise I’ll share'' .Ed begged. “No they will turn into splendid monsters you shouldn’t jeopardize their future”Said Josh “Well if you won’t let me have them then I’ll take them myself” Ed said getting annoyed “No don’t you dare touch us” James said snapping back into his stage of shock after he saw grandma Ed standing there with scales and sharp nails slowly look less and less like herself. “Sorry children but this is for my own good”. Ed said as she leaped towards Jame and snached him by the neck Josh followed her now with his own set of wings a tail and scales.Eve and Samantha quickly realized that there brother was in danger and started running too without thinking twice .As they ran farther and farther there surroundings began to change.They were no longer in a basement but in a Dark foggy forest with muddy ground and strange noises.But they didn’t care they ran as fast as they could but it was not enough to keep up with Josh as he soon disappeared into the dark arms of the foggy night.”Where did josh go”. Eve said ”Eve that's not the biggest problem where are we”.Samantha said Samantha “I don’t know where we are but we need to find Josh he’s the only way we can save our brother”.Eve said “Eve did you not pay attention to what josh said earlier today he said that inorder for us to become monster we must be around the monster that placed the curse on us for more than a year and sense were close to becoming monsters the person who placed the curse can only be me you or James”.said Samantha “Well are you implying that I am the monster”. Eve said “No but you will be”.Samantha said “Well I don’t want to become a monster and sense we have to be nere the one that placed the curse I suggest we split up” Eve said in a serious tone.”Fine by me” Samantha said. They walked their separate ways in hopes of finding James. After hour’s of walking eve was getting tired and frustrated until she heard a scream “noooooooooo” she went to see who it was it was james but who was next to him she couldn’t make out the siluet she walked closer and saw that it was Josh laying there full of red blood his internal organs showing from the deep cut on his stomach. She vomited. It was a disgusting sight. She asked “James what happened”. “Ed she was with me but Josh caught up and they fought. In the end Josh threw her off a cliff but just as she was falling she made a last attack with her claws and now Josh is dead.James said weeping.Eve accidentally touched josh’s blood and all her memories came back.That was the moment that Eve realized that the boy sitting there crying was not her brother and that this body was not her’s. Eve started growing scales her body became distorted and ripped apart she had a new body an ugly,slimy and scaly body.She was not thinking straight and in the midst of her thoughts an insatiable hunger grew she got so hungry that when she saw James she just had to eat him. Once she realized what she had done she left the Sight with not even bones remaining she walked away and till this day if you hear a scream or a cry don’t come here for that is how she lures her prey each and every day.
