20. A Reason and Slaughter

At the Ehrenar Slum...

At the one of the tall building there, something amiss can be seen there. If being put into a normal perspective, that building is somehow become more calm and eerie, which is different from the usual one that lively and excluding fear-inducing aura as a gangster building.

People come and fro, but no one dares to check inside. They know, something has happened there, but they don't know what is 'something' exactly, and human tends to fear something unknown than something unsurmountable. Which is why business in this area is just happening like usual.

Inside that building, there is one person, or more precisely, a boy, is seen holding a sword that is stabbed to something with his hands. This is Yoro, a pretty young boy that just kill someone...or people, in this lifetime of his.

Panting hardly, he then pulls out the metallic sword in his hands out of the head of that grey-haired gang leader that govern this area.

The stabbed head which is impaled with a sword just now, is letting out a considerable amount of blood after the sword is being pulled out. And some of them unintentionally sprinkle at Yoro who is standing in front of it.

On his face there, the evil smirk he wore has gone, it is being replaced by a...some kind of weird expression?

His face is pale, and his body seems a bit shaking. As he turns his body to walks into the exit in the back of the room, his steps are clearly unsteady. But then, as he reaches the door in the vision, his body suddenly jolts and he stops walking.

His hand cover his mouth in reflex, and he dashed to the nearest corner of the room available, before then he releases that very hand and throws up the content of his stomach in there.

Yoro: 'ahh...I feel sick...' he thought in his mind.

He can't help but feel he is not in a good condition right now. The adrenaline that pumped out to his body has diluted and gone. And so, he starting to feel the slimy sensation and the metallic smell of the blood he get in contact with.

No matter how fast he learns things out there and how quick he adapting to the situation, it didn't change the fact that he is just a normal high schooler before all these events. Even if he is playing with cops and blood at the end of his life, he is just a normal human beforehand.

And that is exactly why he does this all.

That grey-haired man maybe doesn't know this, but Yoro is actually restraining himself in all the time they fight, and voluntarily held himself off which is leads to why he is lost right now. But then, why would he do that? What is the reason for his action?

When Yoro was being asked for his reason to do all this before, he lied to this grey-haired guy.

There are actually many reasons he can think of for what he did just now, and to kill all those guys out, only for an act of small revenge is not the only reason. Yoro is not that petty, and he definitely is not stupid.

You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.

From the many reasons he has, there is actually only one main reason in mind that pushed him to do all this troublesome thing out.

And that's is to learn and get more experience.

That's right, what he needed the most currently is actually to adapt and learn in the aftermath of the situation like this, and any other scenario that he hadn't experienced in the past. He is so lacking of that at the moment, and that's why he needs to cover that up with what he did before.

And as Yoro thinks about it before, this thing would be the easiest but the most efficient means available in out there. And where do you think he can learn all this, apart from the dark side of the world itself, which is where all of the real big shot resided?

But then, even if he already expect something like this, he doesn't think the effect would be this bad on him.

Done cleaning his stomach, he wipes his mouth and putting his white mask back on. His work in here hasn't done yet.

He makes a mistake for letting those two tax guys go away before. And now, he must pay for his blunder and try to tie all the loose end he made before.

Yoro: 'just wait for me, you bastard. I've already got your location from the boss that you depend so much, and I won't let you off again this time' he learn for his mistakes this time. And so, he convinces his very self to not let this happens ever again.

If so, why then he ever swore to be a villain before? Isn't that to control everything he wants?

But that is for much, much, later. Because he knows very well that, whether he would be a good and kind-hearted person, or an evil with a wicked personality is a matter for later. He can think about that after he gets strong enough.

So for now, he can just walk through that corridor with his lonely shoulder. And no one has to know who is he, or what is he thinking. For he can do all this by himself.

===============================

Using his cheat at the leader, he can locate all hideout of the gang out there. He wanted to use his clairvoyance effectively. And using it this way proved that he is right for choosing this ability.

But after what he arrived in there, he can't help but shocked at what he saw.

Yoro: "....what the...." Yoro involuntarily says that as his mouth is hung open at the scenery before him.

There is scattered corpse.

No, not just one or two, but dozens, and maybe reaching hundreds of bodies.

A complete mass-killing is just happened in here. But different from him, who is decided to hide the body from peeking eyes, this person didn't consider that at all.

He deliberately scattered the body for scenery, for people to see, or maybe even to attract someone attention for what he did. It can be guessed because there is no pattern to be seen at all.

Fresh blood is spilt and flowed here and there, making this place stink of metallic substance. But on the other hand, it is a sign that whoever did this before hasn't left this place for too long.

As he walks through the pile of a corpse, he identified that everyone in here, from the guards, the dealer, an old man, or even just a kid, all of them has died. There is no one to be spared at all.

Including the people who reveal his identity before.

Their body is lying on the hard floor like the other, with blood pouring out of their body like water come out of a fountain. But if you look more closely, there is just one wound in their body. A wound that is gaping open like dirt just being dug out directly by a sharp shovel out of the ground. In other words, a complete mess.

It is clear that they've died because of some kind of magic. One that is so high-levelled that it can insta-kill any person alive in here at that.

Yoro: "but then, who did this all?" He asks to no one in particular, and there is literally no one alive around to answer his question right now.

What is this all about? He doesn't know. But either way, he should be not involved in this kind of shit in any way possible...

...but that is the past him.

Yoro: 'another learning chance? How am I gonna missed this?' There is technically nothing to be vomitted anymore in his stomach. Therefore, even with his face is still pale-coloured, he walks through them with eager step.

On his face is a grin.

Maybe, and just maybe, he can met anyone who did this to these people, and he may get a chance to talk to him.

More preciselly talk with his sword, that is.
