Short Announcement

First, allow me to thank everyone for reading my story so far.

It's been an exciting and fulfilling experience to see how the words I write are so well received by tens of thousands of people all over the world.

No, this is not me announcing a hiatus or anything of sorts. It's just me being thankful.

On a different note, the reason why I wasn't able to post chapters very often this past week was due to work.

I am only 30 years old, but I've worked continuously in different fields since I was 19.

I can't say it was hellish since it wasn't hard labor, but I realized I grew tired of this repetitive rat race. I would wake up every day exhausted, dreading exiting the shower and preparing for work.

But bills and rent had to be paid, so I did what I had to. Now, I have been able to save up a bit, and I want to try something that doesn't make me feel like jumping off the balcony: writing.

To do so with peace of mind, I quit my job and will now try to write full-time, so you can expect consistent chapters daily. As for the number, it will be at least two, and I'll try to post bonus chapters based on the support I get from you guys.

In other words, I will shamelessly ask you to join my Patreon page if you can support me. However, the only tier available will remain the $1 Tier, and even without becoming a Patron, you will still be able to see the content posted there.

I will try to add more interesting things there, and I am considering opening a Discord channel where we can converse if you feel like it.

Finally, allow me to address my fellow readers who have been going through a similar situation as I have, suffering mentally daily because of their jobs.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.

It is unfortunate, but we cannot live on air alone. Even water costs, not to mention food and shelter.

So, the best thing we can do is to improve our mentality while struggling to find our purpose. If not that, at least something that makes us happy while laying in bed at night, preparing to sleep.

The first step I suggest you take is systemization. In other words, create a routine you would follow daily to the letter for at least a week or two and see if your energy levels and overall happiness improve.

There is a reason why gym bros are happier than the rest of us. Working out on a schedule helps them release stress and recover from the pressure of day-to-day life.

It might sound horrible, but the more robotic we become, the less time we have to consider existential problems. It's not a long-term solution by any means, but it has helped me greatly these last couple of months, and I suggest you try it, at the very least. Not necessarily going to the gym, as I personally also don't have time or energy for that either.

Instead, I found Baduanjin, also known as Eight-Section Brocades, after scrolling through 9gag and decided to give it a try in the morning after I woke up. It is surprisingly helpful for lower back pains, especially if you are like me and spend more than half the day in a chair.

To wrap it up, by no means am I telling you how to live your life. I am just hoping that you can become happier overall since there might be people out there who, like me, use reading as a means to escape reality. There is nothing wrong with that, but staying in there for too long can lead to depression, low energy levels, becoming antisocial, laziness, and many other negative feelings I am very much familiar with.

Thank you all one more time for reading this rant of mine. Work hard toward finding the routine that helps you swing through this swamp we call life, regardless of what it might be!

I sincerely hope you can all become happier with each passing moment!
