Trade Log

Entry 1:

* Closed out the Nervidium and Cryo-gel deal with the Xylar Consortium moments ago. Final transfer confirmed and displayed on my datapad; clink-clink of credits as they landed in my account. Estimated profit was correct. A cool 120,000 credits today. Good haul. Felt the pressure lifting as both commodities finally departed my cargo bay. The Nervidium was getting a little unstable.

Entry 2:

* Spent the next two cycles browsing the market, a mix of standard listings and those broadcast on encrypted channels. Lots of volatile pricing fluctuations out there. Lots of eager hands jostling for deals. Haggled with a T'rellan merchant over a shipment of Xylos-Silk, but they were holding firm, a little too firm, on their inflated price. I walked. Let them sit on their overpriced goods.

Entry 3:

* Spotted a promising listing: a haul of 'Salvaged Data Cores' from the outer rim. The seller, a gruff K'tharr by the name of Kragg, was broadcasting a distress signal of sorts, claiming urgency. They were positioned on the other side of Kepler-7, beyond the regular transit lanes. This meant either the cores were hot or Kragg was just a bad negotiator. Either way, I decided to bite. I initially offered 30% less than his asking price, which he met with a guttural growl over the comm system. After a rather heated exchange, involving threats of a boarding party on my part, I managed to settle on a price of 25,000 credits for the lot with the agreement for immediate pickup. This was cheaper than the original going rate, and I smelled a decent potential.

Entry 4:

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

* Engaged in another negotiation, this one a little more mundane. Saw a freighter selling off a shipment of 'Processed Stellar Minerals'. I knew their value was set to rise in the Kepler system over the next five cycles. The seller, a nervous-looking human named Elara, didn't seem to know the true value. She looked almost apologetic for trying to get a decent pay day. I played it slightly sympathetic, offering her 15% less than her asking price, but threw in a handful of high-yield energy cells as a 'good faith gesture'. She quickly accepted, and the minerals are now safely stored in the Stardust Drifter's cargo bay, ready for their journey. The price felt fair and the goods felt safe.

Entry 5:

* Finalized route logs. First, it is to a small independent data broker, out in the Orion Trail, where the cores will net a tidy sum, then onward to the inner Kepler systems to offload the minerals. My credits balance for the day is looking very healthy. I enjoyed the back and forth of the haggling process, today gave me a good rush. The Stardust Drifter is docked, engines are cooling and I'm signing off.

End of Log.
