Three hundred meters away from where Thomas lived, there was a building, where a girl named Hofa Hins lived.
These events occured one day before Thomas had arrived to the City.
Hofa woke up late that day, noon had already passed. She had a nuit-blanche or in english she was awake all night. She works as a PI ( Private Investigator) and she had two cases to work on, one about Daniel Portman and the other about a John Doe stalking a girl. She worked the night before on the stalker, she didn't find any leads, so she switched her focus on Daniel as the case sounded easy. His wife Lolita Portman had a feeling that her Husband is cheating on her, so she wanted to be sure and hired Hofa.
Hofa took a shower and ate something she made very quickly then she opened her laptop and started searching about Daniel, after some long searchs about where he spends his time, she found an adress which Daniel often go there. It was his best friend adress. She went there hoping that she find them and start following him until he meet his misstress. But unfortunately she didn't, also his friend was not home.
But He was there one hour ago with Daniel. Hofa found a Homeless in the neighborhood so she went and asked him about Daniel, she showed him his picture and said :" Did you see this guy?" he said " yes" she put the picture in her purse and said " Do you know where he went?" he didn't say anything but he asked for money with his hand in exchange with the information, Hofa opened her Purse and gave the Homeless man Ten Youra. " Does this make you open your mouth" she said, " yes" he said, she said angry " SO TELL ME WHERE HE WENT" he said " He was with a woman, I think they are married and they went that way".
She didn't thank him, and went in the direction he told her but she found herself next to two roads and so she asked another Homeless standing nearby "Did you see this guy?" he noded " Where did he go" He pointed the way with his finger " thanks " she said, and she walked that way.
After some minutes, she found herself in a Park, and Daniel was there alone. Hofa watched him for thirty minutes and then he left the Park heading to the Cinema. There he met his misstress and they kissed each other, and that what Hofa photographed.
Unfortunately, he found out that she was following from the Park. So he made some calls to make some guys stalk her and then try to steal her purse.
But she knew about that, so she decided that she should not go straight home and spend the night walking around the City and then she stayed in a Cafe Shop.

She ordered a Cappucino and sat on a chair next to the Window to see if there was someone waiting for her to go out. But she didn't find anyone. Anyway she didn't want to leave the Cafe Shop and stayed there almost all night.
After some hours, she thought that it was safe to go home now. She left the Cafe Shop and she went home. In the way there was two men following her. She didn't find out but then when she was close to her apartment, a third man showed up and stopped her. " Give me your purse" he said and then the other two men ran towards her and catched her.
"Leave me alone" she said to them but they didn't and started trying to reach her purse but they could not. At that moment Thomas arrived to the city and he was around the block.
One of the men showed a knife and shouted " Give me your purse or I'm gonna shoot you" she said " Shoot me ? you have a knife not a gun" " Whatever, just give me the purse or I'm gonna stab you" he said. She said " well that sounds correct" and then kicked his balls and threw the knife away and then she kicked the other guys and knocked them all down.
At that moment she saw Thomas standing 30 meters away watching. She saw that he had a suitcase so she said to him " Welcome to Neighborhood" and then she left the scene and went back to her apartment. First thing she did was uploading the photo in her laptop, encrypting it and send the encrypted file along with a link to the Wife with a message saying " Pay me and you can see what I found out".
She didn't wait too much. Only one hour took the wife to pay her. Happy with getting paid, Hofa ordered a Pizza.
While waiting for her order, she started playing a video game on a console. It was a game called Gol, It's a First Person Shooter. a game about a faction taking over the City of Gertha, the game had the same map as the City and almost the same buildings. It was a popular game in the City and it was played as a similator for Taxi drivers.
After twenty minutes, the pizza guy was infront of her door, she opened the door and gave him a tip but he didn't leave, he kept staring at her. And then he gave her a note. it was written on it. " You played with the wrong Person but don't worry I won't hurt you because I have a job for you, details later"
It wasn't Daniel Portman who send that but another Person, the boss of the man who stalked the girl ( the first case).
She ate the Pizza and then she went to sleep. It was already morning.
Hofa was not a normal PI, she was talented in Martial Arts, she mastered Kung-fu when she was fifteen and Kenjutsu when she was sixteen, she had a sword decorating her apartment, she never used it but she might soon.
When she woke up, she went to her friend's Dojo to practice her moves. There she found a guy who approached her and he said " Hello, Mademoiselle Hins, Do you mind if we talk in private?" she nod and they went outside the dojo. he said " I believe you got the message from the Pizza guy, right?" she said " Yes, you are the one who send it?" he said " No, it was my boss, who is going to hire you, can you please follow me to the car?" She followed him to the car and he drove her to a place outside the City.
