Prologue

Levia was considered weak. I had the smarts and all. Well, wouldn't even call it smarts, it was more like I was a quick learner. But I was physically weak. I couldn't even pass my P.E. without sounding like a dog on a summer day. I never really remember myself running and playing without the ever-present pain in my legs or having enough endurance for the simplest of tasks.

So I envied the people who could run effortlessly but it was something I just had to live with. So I continued with my life, trying my hardest to get good grades and succeed. To go to a good college. Have a good life. But there was a big block in my path. A weird occurrence that happened years before I even started making memories.

Magic. Starting in Asia, all over the world immense caverns exposed themselves. It was creating massive sinkholes and opening up undiscovered cave systems. And it was all just that, a place for the adventurous to go to until it started spewing monsters and magic.

Cities bordering the caverns were classified as border cities. And we're not allowed to go to the inner cities. Needing extensive destruction of magic to even go through one checkpoint. And my city has been a border city for as nearly as long as a knew how to walk.

And being exposed to such magic, I will likely be identified with magic. A thing I significantly didn't want. Because all of those with magic was supposed to greaten humanity's knowledge of the undergrowth. Whether being an explorer or a scientist.

And don't misunderstand me, I don't mind the magic. In all honesty, she would love to become a powerful mage. But the monsters, those horrid beings? I would like to stay in a warm apartment drawing my Ocs thank you very much
