When I was a little girl I had frequent visions of the most random things. As a child I couldn’t fully comprehend what was going on. So I told everybody I knew… every time I had a vision…
All the other kids thought I was weird, and all the adults thought I was making stuff up for attention. I was fine with that though because I still had my mom.
My dad left us when I was baby, and it was very hard for my mom. People judged her quickly because of her uncontrollable imagination. Everything she did she did it loudly and with passion. I love her for it.

On my 13th birthday she finally explained the visions I had been seeing. They were glimpses of the future, and this ability had been passed down in the family for generations. She told me I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone. I quickly agreed because I knew she only had my best interest in mind.
Thats when it happened. I was thrown into a vision.
”Come on, Avalon!” As soon as the light turned red she raced onto the street. She turned around and gave me a smile. “I’m waiting.”
I laugh and jog towards her. Suddenly I trip. Mom’s face turns as she runs to come help me. The light turns green. Out of nowhere a car comes speeding. And she’s gone.
I came back to reality with tears in my eyes. “Don’t worry, my little princess,” Mom says wiping my eyes. I have to stop her.
