Three months later
I have only given a couple of claws from the bear out, those being to Ace and Makino. Grandpa Garp will get one for himself after the next time we spar, which should be any day now. The werewolf transformation is too slow to be used in the midst of a fight, so I will start out in it, only reverting back if it becomes too taxing on my mana supply. Though it is too warm to wear them outside, my birthday having been just two months passed, Makino loves her new coats, boots and gloves, all three sets.
Here we are at the docks as Garp's ship pulls in. “What this I was told about, a giant of a bear that you took down Luffy. Plenty of pictures had to have been taken, so let’s see them, as Pike said that I would have to see it to believe it.” Garp laughs as we head to the bar.
I get a kick as the first thing he sees when he steps through the door, is the skull sitting on a reinforced shelf. He takes a step back in shock, then laughs so hard. “Old Thunderstep. You killed Old Thunderstep. I remember when I was young and thought I was hot shit at twenty years old, and that bastard of forty plus years still sent me packing, with a few scars for the trouble. How and where on the island did you encounter him? For even back then he hated the loud sounds of human settlements, thus unlike others, he wasn’t hunted down and killed, but would move from area to area of the island all the same. I know I told you of the really strong animals, but I never though you would encounter one so soon and kill him to boot. How did you kill him? Hellfire?” Garp asks as he turns to me.
“I wasn’t even fully healed from our last spar when I encountered him. Also, no I didn’t have Hellfire with me at the time. As for the location I fought him at, damn near complete other side of the island. As for killing him, the main blow or blows was a supped up Rankyaku via my newest claws, which I will show you tomorrow when we spar. That fact that I sliced and diced what he possibly hasn’t used for decades, his wedding tackle, was the critical blow.” I say with a grin.
“What the fuck is wrong with you Luffy? You don’t strike another male there, have you no decency?” Garp asks, taking a subconscious step back while crossing his legs.
“Who was it who taught me the phrase, ‘If you aren’t cheating, you're not trying?’. I took it to the logical conclusion, especially when I knew that my life was on the line. As he had me dead to rights in that clearing we fought in, I knew that either I was going to walk out of there alive, or I would have been found shat out somewhere, if that. I don’t know how big he was when you fought him, but for me, he was damn near six meters at the shoulder, and that was when he was just on all fours. When he stood up, revealing himself to be male, he was damn near fifty feet tall. If my life or that of someone who I care about is on the line, nothing is off limits, even if I had to shove a cannon up someone’s backside and light the fuse then wait for the red rain to happen.” I cross my arms over my chest as I wait for it to the words to sink in to Garp’s super thick skull.
“With that mentality, there are times where I’m glad you rejected the idea of joining the Marines. All it would take would be a superior officer disappearing into mist if you caught them doing something against your moral code, then you would be on the run as a result.” Garp grumbles.
“Exactly. Though I did have to teach a non-lethal lesson to some of the officers here. I pretty sure they worked to get transferred to a different base so the nightmares about teeth would abate.” I say with a snicker to my voice.
Garp holds up a finger as if he wants that line of words expanded on, but then thinks better of it. “No, I don’t think I want to know what you did to them, even though you didn’t kill them. Your mind is a dangerous place Luffy. I know plenty of hardened officers that would flinch, then run far, very far away about being subjected to one of your lessons.” Garp says, with a wince, since he knows that some of my ideas, were built off his earlier ‘training snafus’, and then taken higher. That is the downside with me and my focus at times, I can get really ‘creative’ at times, many plans being generated at the drop of a hat.
“Onto other things Luffy. While I will help more with your training like always, I think that it is time to add sailing knowledge to the list, which I’ll have Captain Pike help with. You know enough not to run a boat aground and a few other minor things, but time to get some real hands-on knowledge, since I don’t want you dying at sea, no land in sight. For now, let’s relax, we’ll embrace your masochistic tendencies tomorrow.” Garp says with a chuckle.
“I’ll be glad for the sailing knowledge, though Ace needs to be included in it as well for when he leaves in a little over a year. Makino, and the girls need to be included too, since as good as I am, I can’t be everywhere and I’m not leaving them behind. As for your last comment, what the hell have you been smoking to use words like that? If you just wanted to get buzzed, why aren’t you using weed like many of the Marines that I have seen?” I grin as my question gets Garp’s eyebrow to twitch something fierce in annoyance.
The next day as the coin gets tossed, I try to see if I can make Grandpa twitch to an aneurism with my surprise. We have one eye on each other, then his jaw starts dropping as I start growing, until towards the end I eclipse his height. The transformation is fully engaged just as the coin hits the ground. So long as I’m aware of them as they work their influences, the instincts inherent with the transformation are not too hard to deal with, so when faced with such things like the aura of a predator that Gramps emits on a subconscious level, I can suppress the wolf’s want to tear him to pieces.
A tornado with claws is my first move. I used Soru to keep the speed of the rotation up, alternating my feet as I do so, with my claws out and the hint of air mana and Armament Haki fused into the tips. Observation Haki is what allows me to keep gramps in my sight picture even as he jumps around to avoid me. He avoids most of the damage with Tekkai, but not all as many miniscule bleeding scrapes litter his body, his uniform shredded as a result. He tries to strike back with an Armament infused fist to my center of mass but fails and loses a few teeth to my counter. My counter is to grab the wrist he is using for the punch, then my left foot swings up and off the ground to slam into his jaw with Soru enhanced speed. His mouth that had been open on the exhale for his patented ‘fist of love’, snapped shut with punishing force, thus why he spits out several teeth a few moments later.
I then tried something similar to what I initially tried with the bear, only to get much better results. Armament and earth natured mana flooding my mouth for reinforcement to the point of fusion as I want strength for when my jaw snaps shut worse than any vice he has ever encountered. I get the first true scream of pain from Garp, as even with him using his own Observation Haki, then last minute Tekkai as I barely out stripe his Observation Haki with my form’s enhanced speed. The result is the sound of his Tibia and Fibula echoing across the clearing as they are broken with a snap.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
I jump back a fair bit to observe my work with my own eyes, and ugh, the sight is bad, such that I almost feel sorry for Gramps. There is the white of bone peeking out from his broken left leg, then the amount of blood pouring down as my teeth tore into his skin. Gramps then shows just how much of a bad ass he is. With a swing of his leg, the same one I just broke, the bones are pushed back into place. Then he uses Tekkai to compress and hold the wound together, though the bleeding is only reduced not stopped completely.
“That was a nasty move grandson. One that I’m proud that you pulled off. I’m going to have to get back into shape and train my own skills if I don’t want you to surpass me.” Garp says with a grin, pride oozing from his voice.
“Who says I haven’t already surpassed you gramps. That wound I dealt to you looks pretty bad unless you get it treated. Are you also of the delusion that what you have seen so far is everything I can do? Though nothing is that much stronger than what I have already shown you, I’ve still got plenty of tricks in this devious mind of mine.” I say with the effect being magnified as my teeth are shown filling my muzzle from one side to the other.
Garp tries to get a word in, but I'm done talking for now. I work to wear down his defenses with punishing blow after blow. He has to have his Armament Haki and Tekkai active almost all the time as a result. A tree explodes into splinters as I bounce off and zoom right back at him. He then tries to knock me out of the air by using my momentum against me, but a slight deviation accomplished by my clawed left foot allows me to tear a strip of flesh from the back of his hand all the way up to his left shoulder. The claws I used are worn down as a result of having to get through his Armament and Tekkai defense, but more blood continues to escape from his wounds.
At this point I’m not unscathed, far from it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel though, knowing that I have a chance to beat him today, all on my own. The amount of mana that I have had to use so far is pushing my channels but far from the point of breaking. I employ another one of my not tested ideas. An object completely separated from myself but brought into being purely by my usage of mana. I try not to make this too obvious, but let’s see if Garp takes the bait. While he and I are doing move after counter move of physical strikes, I have a small ball of molten rock being formed with a special core. That special core is the result of more than a bit of testing, from when I worked to create the element that closest resembles gunpowder. I needed that extra kick and the surprise that comes with it.
I took a blow that I should have been able to avoid easily with Kami-E. Garp had expected me to dodge it, thus I threw off his rhythm. I felt a rib crack as a result of taking said blow from his right foot, but then it was time for my surprise. The ball of molten rock shoots out from the forest where I had it suspended. Garp is a fraction of a second too slow to catch it with his left hand. But there is no thud or swack as it hits, but a boom as I trigger the collapse of the neutral shell separating the gunpowder element from the molten rock. The result is more than I could have dreamed of, even as I take damage from the force of the blast.
A blast of heat and chunks of rock are what greet me as my head recovers from the blast wave a few minutes later. I’m back in my human form, clothes more than a bit singed, and I hurt all over, and I do mean all over. Hairline fractures have become full on breaks, my ability to channel mana is dangerously low, and that is just for starters. Close by is Garp on his back, chest rising and falling, blood blooming from his wounds as his Tekkai and Armament Haki disappeared when he lost focus as he become unconscious. It hurts to get up, but I do, and I laugh, for I have done it, nine months early at that too. Now I just have to carry him back to the city for us both to get medical attention. I’m glad the girls had scattered just after the coin hit the ground, or they may have been injured from the blast as well. My body strains as I get Garp’s right arm up and over my shoulder, as I start the ten-mile trek back to the city. The girls join me after the first mile, yipping and barking in excitement as they circle around us. Ace meets us at the half-way point, and then falls down on his ass in shock as he sees me being the one to carry Garp, when it has always been the other way around. Two miles left and my body tries to quit on me, but I keep pushing, to see my task through to the end. The girls have since raced ahead to alert Makino.
I get to the edge of the city, and there she is. Her eyes wide in disbelief, her jaw trying to hit the ground, one of my future wives, Makino. Several doctors and carts to transport us are awaiting as well. The last person of significance is Captain Pike. He is the one who starts the standing ovation with an applause that grows to be thunderous as so many other people take it up as they revel in my accomplishment.
I get right up close to Makino, and after letting the doctors and helpers start carting Garp away under the watchful eye of Captain Pike, I say with my grin prominent on my face “Hello honey. As much as you and I would both like to experience our ‘wedding night’ post haste, I’m going to need a week or so.” I'm going to say more, but my vision starts to darken as I go to fall over. I don’t hit the ground however as my face lands on Makino’s incredible chest just before I clock out for a time.
Makino’s point of view
“Sleep and recover my husband, my oh so dearest mate. I always believed in you, and I will be with you forever more.” I say as I then lay a demure kiss upon his crown, my arms moving him as I get the girls to help to carry him to our place of residence. Not our home, for our home is always going to be wherever we are together, for however long our lives will be. Along with the future women who will share his heart as me and Hellfire already do.
Back to Luffy’s view, four days later
I wake up, but don’t feel anyone beside me. That alone drives me to tears, for my most recent thought is that I almost had the bastard, my emotions of anger and disappointment starting to flare up. How did he remain standing after that. I’m interrupted by the most wonderful sight of my life, though I’m not sure that I deserve it yet, the emotions that I have been feeling suddenly disappearing, being dropped like rocks over the edge of a big cliff at the shock I’m feeling now, that and a lot of lust. For coming into the bedroom from the bathroom is Makino. There is not a stitch of clothing on her, a little bit of moisture apparent on her slender shoulders, but otherwise she is dry and oh so glorious. Her green hair running in a wave down her back. Her eyes, lighting up in happiness as they see me sitting up. Her lips stretching into a big smile immediately follows. Her big, mouthwatering breasts with no sag sit high on her chest, nipples crinkling from the cooler air of the bedroom. Her arms are firm with sleek muscles. Her small waist showing off her six-pack of abs. Her heavenly hips frame the treasure that is her vagina. Her vagina, except for a small shock of green hair at the very top, is otherwise hairless with a visual smoothness that I can’t wait to confirm with my fingers. Her lips are open and swollen with her mounting arousal. My shock grows as some thoughts, images really, flash through my mind, and I so hope that they are not tricks being played on me, which they shouldn’t be. The images show me having won, as I see that my arms are lifting Garp to my shoulder for the trek back to Foosha City. The last of those images is that of Makino’s breasts being pressed against my face as I fall unconscious. That is when it hits me as I so want those images to be true. I didn’t lose or even tie, I actually succeeded in beating that old reprobate.
I escape from the bed and almost throw Makino against the wall in my enthusiasm, with no objections from her.
