The Kiln family is a very strict military family. While most descendants adapt, some stay rigid. Some don't bend, they break.
-Excerpt from Kiln Family Entries Vol.1
__
Elf society SUCKED.
Eli condemned it.
Elves were not as advanced as Dwarfs, not as many as the humans, and not as strong as the monsters. In fact besides their exquisite looks and long lifespan they were nothing.
Just extras…
Eli stared at the night sky, or what would have been it. Covered by a large tree, there was nothing besides the faint glow of the world's moons.
Etaj and Aris. the moons, glittered faintly as the horizon welcomed the warm glow of the sun.
“Can't have the sky in the Elvian Kingdom.”
Eli's hideaway was in a small grove near the city's entrance. As a person of some importance, mainly from the powerful Elvin family of Kiln, Eli was supposed to inherit the position of family master.
As Eli watched the last stars fade from the sky, a small emotion frothed from within him, how he envied the stars. To only be awake at night, and sleep peacefully through the day.
Plink!
With a heavy sigh, Eli got up from his spot in the grove and made his way to the city’s entrance.

‘Welcome! Young master Eli!”
The old guard croaked with as much enthusiasm as he could manage. The truth was, he didn't like Eli, the elf had violated almost every rule in the family, like, don't go out after 10 or not using magic whilst indoors.
Such basic rules had been violated every day for the past 5 years!
And as the rumors said, Eli was unmotivated, was a brat, and had very little affinity to any type of magic!
A true shame to the Kiln family in Greg's opinion. He felt he had family that could do a better job in this kid's position!

Eli shot Greg a glare.
Same words as usual, the same family as usual, same problems as usual.
Eli quickly traversed the endless halls of the mansion,
“Young mas…”
“Sir E..”
Everyone trying to get his attention, and Eli wanted to block it all out.
‘Relax, relax, relax… focus on something important, like sleep. Yes yes, that sounds good, a few hours before the academy should be good…’
Eli quickly switched gowns and tried to sleep.
…
Something was stopping Eli from sleeping, it was a feeling… like an eternal nagging at his very being. Eli quickly opened his eyes and sat upright in his bed.
Why…
Why was he doing nothing?
…
Eli opened the curtains to find it sunny and bright outside, 6 am by estimation.
How long had he been sitting there? His back hurt like hell, but besides that, he would probably be fine.
Knock! Knock!
“I’ll be right there!”
Knock! Knock!
“Sheesh give me a…”
Eli opened the door to a guard who promptly handcuffed him and started to take him away,
“Hey- what- wait you can't do this!”
Eli was frantic, why was this happening? What did he do?
“Hey! I told you to stop! You got the wrong person!’
Eli tried to resist this attempt, but before he could,
Darkness.
__ Unknown amount of time later
Freezing water was thrown onto Eli's face, waking him up from his unconscious state. He coughed and sputtered, trying to clear the water from his eyes and mouth. When he was able to see clearly, he saw that he was in a small, dimly lit room, with concrete walls and a single door. There were no windows or other exits.
Eli's head was throbbing and he couldn't remember how he had gotten here. He tried to stand up, but his wrists were shackled to the wall behind him.
"Where am I?" he asked, his voice raspy and weak.
There was no response. Eli looked around the room, hoping to find some clues about his situation. There was a small table with a few papers and a pen on it, and a chair in the corner. Other than that, the room was empty.
Eli's mind raced as he tried to piece together what had happened. He remembered being taken away by a guard, but he had no idea why. He had always been a rebellious member of the Kiln family, but he had never done anything to warrant this kind of treatment.
He strained against his restraints, hoping to find some way to escape. But the shackles were too tight and the wall was too solid. He was stuck.
As the minutes ticked by, Eli's fear and frustration grew. He had no idea how long he had been here or what was going to happen to him. All he could do was wait and hope for the best.
As the hours passed, Eli's thoughts turned to his family. The Kiln family was one of the most influential and respected families in the Elvian Kingdom, known for their strict adherence to tradition and their powerful magical abilities. Eli, however, had always struggled with magic and had never fully embraced the expectations placed upon him as a member of the Kiln family.
He had always felt like an outsider, like he didn't belong. And now, here he was, locked up in a cold, dark room with no idea why.
Eli's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening. A guard entered the room, followed by a tall, slender elf with piercing green eyes and long, flowing white hair.
"Eli Kiln," the elf said, his voice cold and formal. "You are accused of treason against the Elvian Kingdom and the Kiln family. How do you plead?"
Eli's heart raced as he tried to understand what was happening. Treason? That was a serious charge, one that could result in his execution. But he had done nothing wrong.
"I plead innocent," Eli said, trying to keep his voice steady. "I have done nothing to betray my family or my kingdom."
The elf raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "We have evidence to the contrary. You were caught in possession of forbidden magic, magic that could be used to overthrow the current government and establish a new regime."
Eli's mind reeled. Forbidden magic? He had no idea what the elf was talking about.
"I swear, I have no knowledge of any forbidden magic," Eli said, desperation creeping into his voice. "This must be a mistake."
The elf studied Eli for a moment, then turned to the guard. "Take him back to his cell. We will continue this discussion later."
The guard nodded and unlocked Eli's shackles, leading him out of the room and back to his cell.
As the door closed behind him, Eli's mind was filled with confusion and fear. He had no idea what was happening, but he knew that he needed to find a way to clear his name and prove his innocence. He just hoped he would have the chance to do so.
