After quite the ordeal getting all of the dead Titans out of his ship’s cargo hold, Lupis took the pilot seat once again. He had set his armor to remote mode to handle most of the unpleasant task, while he remained in his cabin doing other things. Of course the two Canids which remained in Boss Rancor’s office had been forced to assist with the cleanup effort. After that they were unceremoniously disposed of with the others. After searching the records, Lupis discovered that there had been one last guard that had been there the day he was sold out but had left the station hours before he arrived. One last Titan that had seen his true face that would have to die. He programmed in the command to Rhapsody’s AI, and the onboard tracking system located the slow-moving vessel. It had not gone far.
Lupis let the AI take control as he blasted away from the corpse filled station. In only an hour he had caught up to the ship and he blasted it into oblivious with the Rhapsody’s two E-cannons. That wrapped everything up neatly then. He was almost disappointed that there was no one left to kill at this point.
As the Rhapsody drifted aimlessly through open space for nearly two days, Lupis found that he too was aimless. Safe at last within his sanctuary, he began to wonder what type of bloody adventure he would find himself in next. He still had several more treatments within his ship’s med bay before he was completely cured of the strange fungal virus that had threatened to take over his body. He had saved the scans to review later though, he really wanted to run some simulations and try to figure out what had happened to those Titan prisoners back on that hellish planet.
Eventually, Lupis drifted back to the console and linked into the Titan galactic bounty network. He knew it would still be some days before he would take anything on, he would not feel comfortable until his scans showed no evidence of the alien virus and figured he might have to visit an actual hospital at some point, but it didn’t hurt to look.
That’s when he remembered by chance, the little object still within the pistol drawer inside his suit. His mind flashed back to the female who had given it to him when he had turned her over to the loathsome mob boss and the pleasing look in her eyes. He decided to investigate this further, seeing as he had little else to do at the moment.

After retrieving the object from his suit, which was in its charging case in the rear hold, he linked the suit with Rhapody’s onboard computer systems and transferred the recordings from the incident. He used Gabriel to run a background check on the female and the system began searching through its vast database of thousands of files. Eventually a match popped up and he opened it curiously.
The female turned out to be a famous Furwood actress, named Destiny. The object she had given him was a prop from one of the vids she had starred in, which according to his computers centered its entire plot around the device. The device was something that could locate an ancient temple on Titan that would call down a mythological being, an astrological Titan god named simply enough “Scorch”. This had been a major hit for the Furwood company that had produced the vid, and surely nine out of ten Titans would have instantly recognized the actress and the device, but Lupis was not an average Titan. Living an isolated life aboard his ship, venturing forth only occasionally to carry out a mission, before heading back. Still, this brought up more questions than it answered.
Eventually, the mercenary punched in a heading back towards Titan. He thought he may find some answers back on the homeworld and especially along the Rook Coast. As the vessel traveled the distance, he ultimately began scanning the listings on the Galactic Bounty Network absently.
He scanned the job listings, and nothing popped out at him at first. Several petty outlaws and a mid-level corporate executive, but nothing truly interesting. He was just about to turn off the display when he read one particular listing that he had to re-read just to believe it.
Apparently, while he had been in the farther reaches of galactic space, a trio of Procyon bandits had caused a serious uprising in Kallerish City in the land of Gothamir back on Titan. Hundreds of Zenith security forces, Trade Alliance security and over a thousand battle drones were lost according to the report. Lupis was now interested, these three bandits were now the most wanted criminals in the entire galaxy.
Lupis used his AI’s scent signature to respond to the listing. This one looked like a good bit of fun.
